Customer Service was great, the person stated, I would get a call later in the week after the insurance company checked the car to see what the total damage will be. Never received any calls from Crash Champion. Only received a call from USAA, which was the person, who was at fault, insurance, stating they need my authorization to pick up my SUV to get fixed. I was confused, told them my car is at Crash Champion, waiting to be fixed and can be fixed there! The representative from USAA, stated, "didn't Crash Champion, tell you that the car can't be fixed, it's TOTALLED!" I was like "WTF"! My car is drivable.. I was rear ended! Basically, USAA, wanted my permission to tow my SUV, so they can salvage and chop up my car for parts. I was upset, cause Crash Champion, never reached out to ... NO Communication what so ever! My SUV only needed a new rear bumper and new rear 3rd gate! That's it! Went to pick up my SUV at Crash Champion, I asked the lady in the front, "how much will it cost to fix my SUV, I will pay cash to you guys to get it fixed". She said "we cannot fix it for you here, you would need to take it to a mom and pop shop", I was shocked. Basically.. translate to... we want more money from the insurance company than what it really cost to fix it. I was able to have my SUV fixed from another collision place in Austin, the cost was only $1,400 with parts and labor. Sucks for Bastrop residents that they are only one of the two big auto collision repair shops. This place needs to work on customer service.. lack of communication, I was never notified and my attorney that was handling my auto accident case, was never notified!

I thought hey, no problem, I can replace a brake lamp. So I ordered the lamp on the internet and once I received it, I sat down to watch a youtube video on how to install it. OMG. There was no way I could do it. It is like the entire car is built around this stupid brake light. You have to basically disassemble your car to get to it. So I made an appointment at a mechanic shop that I have used before. They said they would do it, but when I got there and they took a look at it, they bailed on me and said no. So I called Buddha's Garage. They also said no, but referred me to Slick Rydes. Bill had never replaced a CHMBL in a Camaro before, but he was willing to try at least. I knew it was a major pain in the butt and he had some difficulties, but he did it! The reason I mentioned my expired registration sticker was that Bill went above and beyond and took my car to get it inspected while he had it so I could get my registration renewed before my court date on Friday! Now that is some amazing customer service. He didn't have to offer to do that at all, and I doubt anyone else would. Another thing I appreciated was he never talked down to me or tried to feed me BS because I am a woman, which happens more often than not whenever my car needs repairs. However, I'm extremely glad that I trust John and Hail Solutions to fix the damage on my vehicle. The hail damage I had wasn't severe but it was absolutely noticeable and I didn't believe that I would be able to get it fixed with my super slim budget. John not only covered my deductible and communicated super efficiently throughout the whole process, but he helped coordinate my free of charge rental through my insurance, washed the vehicle after repairing it, and even did a small detail on the interior! Do not get any mechanical work done here! They have continuously messed up the work on my…read moretransmission and have not stood by their work and corrected their continued problems. In a nut shell, this is the timeline of my transmission with work done by Cottman's. 5/12/17 - Initial transmission lock up 5/13/17 - $800 worth of work, and I got my car back 5/15/17 - Locked up again! (more issues, no transmission fluid) 5/19/17 - $1500 worth of a rebuild and I got my car back 5/20/17 - Found a leak (bad seals..) 5/23/17 - get my car back 8/8/17 - Found another leak (failed to configure computer, multiple seal leaks) 4/24/18 - Found another leak (bad seal behind torque converter) 5/23/18 - Transmission locked up again!!!! I brought my car in 5/13/17 when my transmission locked up. They did some work, cost me a couple hundred dollars, but I got it out a couple days later. I drove it home and it locked up immediately by the time I drove it the 10 minutes to my house. I brought it back to them the following Monday, 5/15/17, and this time they had to rebuild the whole thing. They also didn't fill it will transmission fluid before letting me take it the first time. They did the work, pulled it, sent it out to get rebuilt and reinstalled it. It never ran the same, but no one really expects it to, right? When it was installed there were continued noises that have never stopped. I also noticed they ruined my brand-new ball joints because they tried to pop it off the joint instead of simply unscrewing the nut and bolts off the lower control arm! I picked my car up 5/19/17 after they rebuilt the transmission. I noticed the next day that my car was still leaking transmission fluid!!! I took it back to them yet again on 5/20/17!! Picked my car up 5/23/17, it didn't show any leaks at least, but never again has it sounded the same again. I noticed even more leaking beginning of August, and I brought it back to them again on 8/8/17! It was literally spraying transmission fluid on the inside of the front driver's side wheel well. I suspected this, so cleaned it thoroughly, and noticed that it still was getting wet. They removed the transmission and sent it back to the shop. The guy at the shop told them that there wasn't anything wrong with the transmission, they just didn't reconfigure the computer correctly, and sent the transmission back to Cottman. Cottman changed out some seals around the cv joint and reconfigured the computer. This was why it never sounded the same!! After I got it back it sounded a little better, drove a little better, but still not that good. In April of 2018 I took my car to another shop to have them see if they could find out what some of the squeaks and noises are coming from. They couldn't find any, but found another leak in the transmission!!! This one was located up in the front seal of the transmission, behind the torque converter!! So, I took it back to Cottman's again to have them fix it. Why would I keep coming back here, because the transmission is under warranty still.. They took it in 4/18/18 and repaired the leak and replaced the seal. So, now I'm driving my car to work 5/23/18 at 8:30AM and my transmission locks up again!!! It wont go past 2nd gear, it wont go into reveres anymore. I limp back to Cottman's shop to have them look at their handiwork and to take care of it. This time, they come back and tell me its 7000 miles past the warranty of the engine!!! Really! Like I drove 7000 miles between 4/18 and 5/23.. You took it in last month and fixed your continued problems! It obviously has continued issues, they have not done their job, they never properly repaired the problems and instead did shotty work until my transmission locked up again! Now they want me to pay for a whole new build!! Do not trust this place, they don't know what they are doing. They are not honest with their customers and have not been able to resolve the continued issues with my transmission. I have continued to give them the benefit of the doubt because they have always attempted to correct the issue. This time they have not. I do not recommend you have them do work on your car.

Six months ago, the power was noticeably absent. Took it to my regular guy and he said it was not something he understood. He recommended Cottman.
