What a fun activity! My husband and I came to do one of the black light painting classes with some friends of ours and we truly enjoyed the experience! Erin was such a good teacher, walking us through each step with easy-to-understand instruction! We will definitely be back! Thanks again Erin!

Overall experience was excellent. Came on a calm, thankfully, Tuesday night with JC as instructor. JC was very calm and patient, explained every step and happily repeated herself when asked, even if we may have been like 3 steps behind. Playful banter and comments throughout making us, very new/not art oriented ppl seem comfortable and not rushed even when we went a little over! Thabkvyo

So much fun painting at this place. We have been here before and painted llamas in the past. Decided to come again for another theme and enjoyed so much! Two hours very well spent with a super nice instructor and the studio itself is nicely organized. We had the best time and brought home our lovely art. We will definitely do it again!

Fun date night location/activity. The instructor was nice and helpful especially for a beginner.

What a fun place!! I cannot wait to come back. We painted sunflowers on a wooden plank and it was such a great time! Highly recommend as something different to do either as a date or with friends!

Heathre was absolutely amazing! I hosted two group events here and she was our art guide for both. She was incredible, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She gave amazing instruction and made the evening a lot of fun even for those who were nervous about their lack of artistic ability. Everyone's paintings came out beautiful! I have to reduce one star because the SOS time needs an actual artist or someone who knows what they are doing to be present. I had to leave one of my events before we were finished so returned for the SOS night. Heathre advised me to tell them to pull her instructions for the painting we did and the guy there claimed there was no such thing. He didn't have a clue and it was apparent as he couldn't answer anyone's questions or give any guidance. That was disappointing but Heathre was five stars all the way!!!

What a great experience! I took my mom here for her birthday and was happy we were able to choose such a fun Fall/Halloween project to do. Our instructor was excellent and walked us through the process the whole way, coming around and assisting with anyone who needed help. We will definitely be back.

This was my second time attending a paint shop, but first time at this entity. I did it on a whim from a group invite, figuring it would be a great way to meet some new people & cap off the year doing something I enjoy. I was not disappointed! Parking here is not the greatest. Another one of those poorly planned complexes with only a few spaces out front otherwise you need to circle around & end up way in the back or beyond to find anywhere, then walk back over to the complex. It would be nice if they cut out half the aesthetics & allowed for more convenient parking, but that isn't the fault of the businesses. I do think it is important to arrive early, or at least 5 minutes ahead of start time. You do want to give yourself time to situate, pour your drink & settle in. Plus, it's a bit rude to hold up others attending, because the instructor will have to stop & wait. Most of these classes are on a 2 hour time limit. But, luckily for this one most everyone showed up on time or right on the dot. We were able to start without interruption or having time cut short. The facility is very nice & cleanly for a paint studio. I think it was set up well & utilized the space to where it wasn't cluttered or crowded. The walls lined with vibrant paintings made it so bright & cheerful- we loved looking at all the pieces others have done. And, we really enjoyed our instructor. I feel bad I don't recall her name, but she was very welcoming, kind & patient. She went at a very decent pace, easy enough for all of us to follow along. I was appreciative we were seated in front of one of the television screens on the wall so I didn't have to keep turning to view her technique- I could paint right along with her just glancing up. And, she offered a variation of techniques & pointers. This was after fully introducing herself & explaining her background in art- it was interesting & you could tell she truly has a passion & loves to share it with others. For an instructor, I feel she did very well. Even offered a break halfway through so everyone could stand up for a minute, use the restroom if needed, refill drinks, etc... but, she also had us play a fun little game of "memory painting" on one of the paper plates we each had. The "winner" of the 5 minute contest got a little gift card. It was just a nice touch on top of it & allowed us all to laugh at how good or bad our memories are! They make it pretty easy from start to finish. You select your canvas/size when booking online. It's best to book together or put in a "party name" to be seated together. Your easel, canvas & paints are already set up, waiting for your arrival. Coats & bags can be placed on the hangers & shelves to stay away & clean. And, aprons are all provided. This is a BYOB occasion, so the only thing provided aside from painting materials are plastic cups & a corkscrew. It was disappointing they don't offer a chiller or ice, so I'd suggest a small cooler if you want your beverage cold. Oh- and you'll want to keep your beverage opposite of where the paint water cup sits! That's an unfortunate mistake if you aren't paying attention! (You know it has happened if they have to announce that warning ahead LOL!) We had the last class of the day (and year!) so it was nice there wasn't a new group coming in after to kinda make you feel like you need to get out of the way. And, our instructor was sooo patient, she didn't mind if we stayed a little past 6pm to wrap it up. Also ensured us if we weren't happy with our piece & not able to or comfortable to finish/fix it at home: they offer an "Oops!" class! Specifically to come back in for instruction & assistance on finishing or salvaging your piece. That is impressive & appreciated when you've invested your time & money. I think the prices are very decent for what is offered- well worth it for a 2 hour session. And, great for groups or special occasions! We were celebrating birthdays & felt very welcome. Overall we had a blast, time seemed to fly by but not too fast to where we weren't happy with our pieces or felt rushed. I think everyone did really well, and we also appreciated the instructor offering to take our photos displaying our pieces for us. Blow dryers are offered to help expedite the drying, but she went above & beyond to offer us plastic covering just in case, to protect both the painting & the interior of our vehicles. I'd definitely come back for another session!

It wasn't a HORRIBLE experience but it was still pretty rough. My sisters and I went to celebrate my birthday together and just relax. Unfortunately it wasn't a relaxing experience. There were so many little things that made it a bad experience. The teacher told us to put our bags on a table, but then got irritated when the bags where in front of a painting on the back of the table. She also started 15 minutes late and then rushed us through the rest of the way. She kept making snarky comments about things that were annoying her but then tried to act like her comments were a joke (the purses being a good example). At one point she straight up yelled at me because I was still painting the hat in my picture. She yelled "STOP PAINTING THE HAT" and then started arguing that she had seen my painting already and "it's done", when I explained I was almost finished. It was interesting that she felt comfortable talking to customers like that, especially considering that she is probably only 22 years old, and since I was the one paying for the experience. It's her job to help people of differing levels of expertise, but she had no patience for slower painters and was very rude to anyone not keeping up with her very minimal instructions. I also feel like this was ironic since we would have had the time If we would have started at the correct time. She also yelled at a little girl (about 8 years old) after the blow-dryer (provided by the company to dry your paintings) made a breaker flip. The girl had nothing to do with this and was just blow drying her painting like she'd been told to do. After yelling that the girl had messed up the breaker she pretended like it was all a joke and she was just teasing, but it wasn't funny it was really rude. Throughout the whole experience she acted very bothered, and like we were putting her out by being there. It was also weird that she would direct us to do something (like put your purses on the table), but then get angry about it and make snarky comments ("well you could see this picture if everyone hadn't put all these purses on the table") . She kept trying to pretend like her comments where all just a funny joke, but honestly you could feel her ire coming through. She doesn't seem to enjoy working with people and took it out on us like we were misbehaving children. The room in no way felt inviting or comfortable and it was 100% because of the teacher. I'm not sure if I would recommend them. However, I do think that this was due to our teacher more than anything. As we were leaving there were groups in other rooms having a blast so I feel like I'm general it would be a decent place to book. Just be aware that you might run the risk of getting a bad teacher.

We had a good time at Paint with a Twist! The whole experience was great. They give you everything you need. They aren't stingy with paint. The whole place is clean and staff is nice! Thank you!

Such an amazing experience, and I can't wait to go back after my products run out!…read more I called ahead to see if this place required reservations, but they are walk‑in ONLY. I got there first thing in the morning with my mom and aunt to get started. We arrived on a Friday and parking was PACKED. We ended up finding a spot in a nearby lot, so if you have a certain time you want to arrive, make sure you factor in parking. Anyway, we made our way into the building, and a nice lady told us we could sit anywhere we wanted and gave us the rundown. You're able to make an array of items. We ended up making car fresheners, perfumes, lotions, and candles. You start off by picking your favorite scents and combinations. If you're anything like me and my mom, we are very indecisive, luckily they help you pick out scents and combinations they think you'll like. Seriously amazing staff! They were so patient with us to make sure we got the scent we loved. Overall, the process took about an hour, and depending on what you make, you'll have to come back after 3 -4 hours to pick up your items. When we came back around late noon, it was packed, so I definitely don't recommend coming at that time. Definitely go early in the morning or maybe a couple hours before they close. The prices weren't overly expensive at all. I can't remember the exact total, but I think I got around three items and only paid about $70. Either way, if I have more family coming in from out of town or just want a fun place to go with friends, I can definitely see myself coming back

We were pleased with our selections & personalized products. There are 3 location within the Phoenix area to make your tailored treasure come true! Note- Big groups, make reservations in advance! Reagan was very easy to work with during the planning stages, quick to respond to emails and was down for any ideas and suggestion that I thought of. We also chose the specialty "Paint Your Pet's Portrait" Class and each painter sent in a photo of their pet to have Tawny, our teacher, draw an outline of the animal so that we had an easier place to start when we began painting. Because we had so many painters, we were able to have a second teacher and that was very beneficial as there was a ton of activity as we all began painting. The teachers arrived early and brought Everything with them that we would possibly need - easels, paint brushes, paint, aprons, canvas. Everything. Everyone involved was super friendly and very helpful. The prices were VERY affordable too. We had a great time and I would definitely do this again, and our paintings turned out Awesome!!!

It was hosted by My Wine Cellar, who supplied one drink and offered up their happy hour menu for further indulgent. The pace of the class was good and the assignment was plenty challenging. We all learned a lot, being novice painters. One or two in our group ended up with paintings that I would actually hang in my house. We all walked out fulfilled and with a better understanding of why we should stick to our day jobs.

This wasn't just us, several people in our class had the same issue, and they had to call the owner to sort everything out before we could start. They also mentioned that we could bring our own drinks, which sounded great, but I wouldn't recommend it for the wheel-throwing class. We didn't open our wine as no cups were provided but there was also no time during the class to drink it. That said, our instructor, Callum, was amazing! Truly hands-on, patient, and made sure everyone left with a piece they were proud of, whether they chose to keep it or not. One thing to note: I wouldn't recommend this specific class for out-of-towners. If you want to keep your piece, the process takes about a month. First firing, then returning to paint, then a second firing. You also pay separately for any pieces you choose to keep and paint. Our class was $35 per person, and it's $20 per piece for firing if you plan to come back and paint it. It's a commitment, but also two fun experiences if you're local or don't mind returning. Overall, I'm taking off one star due to our specific experience with their wheel throwing activity, but I still think the concept of this place is great, and I look forward to coming back to paint my piece as well as to try a different activity!
