We've been extremely pleased with this dance studio. Lots of options, great instructors, and the most beautiful thing about them is that even if your child is not naturally excellent in dance and has to work really hard to achieve - they wouldn't feel singled out or looked down upon.
The most amazing PROS
1- variety of classes, levels, and various genres is very good (they even introduced a special dance class for kids with special needs and they participate in the recitals and everything)
2- great experienced instructors
3- phenomenal combo classes to start introducing the little ones to the basics of dance which would help them decide what their strengths are
4- friendly atmosphere (I haven't had a single unpleasantness since we started coming a year ago)
5- several companies available for those who excel and are interested in competing (some starting as early as 4y.o.) - and they perform very well with many awards claimed at different competitions
6- Huge PRO for me!!! Another super important thing is that they try to make dance affordable. The tuition prices are very competitive, but what's even more important - several costumes are recycled (same costume used in both winter and spring recital) which helps tremendously to keep the cost down for the families.
7- And while it may seem insignificant to many - my family appreciates that the costumes they choose for the recitals are tasteful and not overly exposed or inappropriate.
Some CONS
1- not the strongest hip hop or voice classes... I may be picky as urban dancing is dear to my heart and I am used to the amazing NYC talent.
2- depending on when you call - it might be difficult to get a hold of a live person right away - but they're excellent at returning calls and keeping up with emails, so for us this has been a non-issue.
3- the waiting area gets quite crowded at times.
So here's what it boils down to for us... We've been coming for over a year now with my 2 children. Is this studio flawless in every way? Nope. But is this our #1 studio of choice in the valley? Absolutely! read more
