Smoked Salmon Bagel Lunch Sandwich Look at her. She was perfect

This place was an absolute life savor. I was desperate for fuel before a big hike. This bagel was everything. EVERYTHING I needed AND more in that exact moment. It almost brought a tear to my eye. The service was outstanding, busy and understaffed I'm sure and she still delivered one of the most memorable solo breakfasts I'll ever know in the mountains. Beautiful place, beautiful vibes, perfect breakfast sandwich. I highly recommend Thank you paddington cafe

I live in this neighborhood and usually check them out if I go to the dry cleaners or post office next door. There's a nice family that runs the place, I've only ever had their coffee espresso drinks, I've enjoyed their maple latte and my wife has liked their Earl Grey latte. Ordinarily they would have indoor seating, that isn't happening because of COVID but I have enjoyed their drinks and it's one of the coffee places I go to in Montclair even though there are several coffee/cafe options sprouting up in the neighborhood.

What a darling little café! Stopped by this little cutie before embarking on a hike at nearby Joaquin Miller Park. This was my first time ever coming here but apparently it was called Nelly's Java/HL Café before and has been around for a long time. The shop reopened as The Paddington Café and is now under new management. I love the cute and cozy setup and the inviting atmosphere. The design and paintwork are beautiful and I couldn't take my eyes off of the stylish ceiling. Their cafe menu consists of your typical coffee and tea favorites along with smoothies, milk tea, acai bowls, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. I was excited to see that they had acai bowls here because I've recently gotten addicted to them. What's nice about their acai bowls is that you can create your own (you can pick up to 5 items free with each additional item for $1). Got an acai bowl and a small gingerbread chai latte. I love that you can add different syrups to your coffee and teas! The gingerbread syrup was unique but really good. Their chai was also really creamy which I love, love, loooove! Love me some creamy chai lattes! The acai bowl was well constructed and all of the fruit tasted fresh. Loved the taste of their acai base and the bowl was really filling. Would definitely come back again for another one of those bowls! I think it's awesome that they offer so much variety on their menu. It's a great way to cater to everyone's wants and needs. The ladies behind the counter were pleasant but the cashier either didn't understand the questions that I asked her or didn't know English very well. She may have been a new employee there too. Who knows really, but it would have been helpful if someone was there to answer my questions. I don't find myself in Montclair too often these days, but I'll make it a point to stop by this cute café again when I do.

This is a lovely coffee shop I've been coming to for a time. The staff are friendly, the coffee is quite good, the pastries are delicious (way better than Starbucks). You really can't go wrong here. A perfect place to get coffee while in the area of the Sutter Health or Stanford clinics.

Very quiet and cute cafe, with less noise and traffic than the big chains. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The chai latte was divine; it tasted like warm gingerbread. Great place to sit and read with a cup of something warm.

When they saw us trying to get in with our giant strollers, they ran over to open the door and move chairs out of the way, they all came over to say hi to the babies, another guest gave us tiny delicious cheesecakes she's made (presumably for some group hangout happening there at the same time), and the owners were absolutely lovely. We don't know a ton about tea, and he picked a lovely one for us. Totally a place to sit, relax, and try one of what looks like hundreds of tea options. If you know anything about tea, I suspect they can talk to you the way sommeliers talk to my husband about wine. Thank you for being so wonderful! They're in a location that used to be a Subway. I've only have their cookies, I'm a sucker for good cookies. I particularly recommend their Peanut Butter Miso (a flavor I don't think you can get at a lot of places, sweet savory), and Ginger Molasses. I've also been supporting them because they're part of the Rewards Network Dining. I subscribe to the program to get Alaska/Atmos points on qualified dining, and I'm trying to get as many points as I can, so dining with restaurants as part of that program is helpful. You can order full cakes as well as they have slices avaialble for purchase. I got a tiramisu slice for my mom, which she said she liked. Good addiiton to the neighorhood.

Their primary focus appears to be on their special order cakes-which look amazing. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. After asking a few questions, I decided on the Passion Coco cake($5) and the Brown Sugar Pecan scone ($3.50). I enjoyed the Passion Coco cake slice. The coconut, passion fruit, and strawberry flavors worked well together, although the passion fruit flavor was very subtle. The sponge was cake moist, and the butter cream was spot on with its melt-in-your-mouth creamy texture. The Brown Sugar Pecan scone was good, but it had more of a dense muffin texture than a traditional scone, and the flavors were a bit muted. They did not skimp on the pecans though, which was nice. I would have enjoyed bolder flavors and a more traditional scone texture. Overall, I found that the walk in options are limited, but a great spot for locals to stop in and pick up tasty baked goods-and I would definitely order one of their beautiful and delicious looking cakes for a special occasion.

I tried the "Ooh La La Passion Fruit!" fruit smoothie and it was refreshing and delicious. Service was great. The smoothie was made with apple, passionfruit, peach, and mango. It cost $9.78 after tax and tip. This was for a 12-ounce serving. 16 and 24-ounce sizes were also available. The drink was fresh and made to order. When the employee made it, they blended the ingredients in different batches/phases. My wife thought it was interesting because she's never noticed smoothies at other shops blended in that way; the employees usually dump everything in and press the blend button once. The O Smoothie employee took extra care in making the drink. During our visit, the shop had 20 smoothies on the menu plus juices, shots, bowls (e.g., acai bowl), and treats like mangonadas. The store is humble and tiny with almost no seating. There was a bench outside the storefront. This place is more of a counter-service / takeout joint than anything. The employee was polite and efficient. O Smoothie replaced Juice Appeal, another smoothie and juice bar in this same spot, in March 2016. We would definitely come back.
