PacWest was GREAT. They were "forced/priced" to "retire". Suburban Propane's 1st story was PW 'went out of business' & SP had 'taken over' all PW customers. Their refill quote in February was triple the price of propane at gas stations, due to my 'low consumption'. I told them to pound sand and make an appointment with me for tank removal. They sent several tank rental fee letters with past due charges; with no proof of ownership, no past, current or new contract, nothing but a bill; 5 red flags. I called again to refute the charge & they said tank removal would cost me $150; 50% more than a year of rent conveniently. I should send them a past due STORAGE fee. This is America and I will choose who provides my services. They did not acknowledge my first conversation, their story NOW was PW owner "retired"; red flag! Past due charges after I refuse any business with them and tell them to retrieve the tank! SP does not own that contract u had with PW. Shop around. Buy a 60 gallon tank or two and fill at a station. Have a handyman assist. SP's practices will have you paying 2 to 3 times or EVEN MORE than necessary. They downplayed all their negative reviews; red flag! THIS IS AMERICA & unfortunately capitalism can mean the big invisible corporation will force the 5 star local businesses out & jack prices up each time they gobble up another. Self Protection is what SP should stand for; BUYER BEWARE. Thank goodness for YELP! I was lucky to have read up on SP. The sound of my head popping out of nowhere land was LOUD. Do not say yes, do not sign, do accept propane, do not pay for rental or removal I to a company you did not contract with. Ask them to remove your info from your records. super easy process to connect and hook up to our new to us home. The rep explained everything clearly and was able to get someone out within a few days to fill up my tank. They also installed a wi-fi receptor to inform me and the company when my tank gets to 20% and someone automatically comes out to refill. couldn't ask for better/easier servicing. read more

We were using another propane provider's automatic dispatch plan. Except they couldn't reach us due to icy weather, leaving us to run electric space heaters for two weeks. We saw the PacWest truck pull up to a neighbor's home and they graciously agreed to help fill our empty tank. Despite the ice, PacWest made it up to our home and ensured we are warm and cozy again. I would give PacWest a 5-star review, however I found out they sold to Suburban Propane which is the worst company of who I had the extreme displeasure to deal with for 4 or 5 years. I finally rid myself of Suburban Propane after several emails and phone calls, switched to PacWest because I was tired of paying $7.00 a gallon and this was 3 years ago! They are unscrupulous and I refuse to deal with them ever again. I have sent emails requesting they come remove the tank I leased from PacWest and credit me for the propane that's in the tank. Like before they will wait and charge me a yearly lease that I never signed a contract for. We will start the whole process over! They left their tank in my driveway for 8 months. I am not happy with PacWest for neglecting to notify me of the sale. read more

Don't waste your time looking for a great propane company, because you just found the best one. Seriously. I looked around at 5 different local propane companies, with a Goldie Locks type of experience. Some were too expensive, some were too impersonal, and some wanted to lock me into a contract. When I called Derrick at Pacwest Propane, I knew that he was the real deal. My home is on the side of a really steep hill, so even bringing groceries into the house can be a challenge. Derrick spent the better part of a day slowly bringing down my propane tank by hand, weaving through wooden stairs and a narrow pathway with pavers that are coming up all over the place. The next day my tank was filled, and later that day, Derrick came back and spent FOUR hours trying to fix the gas fireplace in my house that had not been used in over 18 months. He fixed the fireplace and didn't leave until after he explained to me what all of the knobs and switches were underneath. I tried to pay him for his time for the installation of the tank and fixing the fireplace, but he refused to take my money. After our first fill, we didn't pay attention to the meter on our tank and we ran out of propane in the middle of November. I texted Derrick in the morning, and a few hours later, the tank was full again. Just today we ran out of propane again, not thinking about the colder weather using more propane more quickly. Again, I texted Derrick and he squeezed us in today. He came at almost 8:00 pm just to fill up our tank. He also offered to set up another tank at a discounted rate, with a discount on our fill-ups. He also set us up on auto-fill, with the choice of how often we get filled up. Apparently, I can't remember to check my propane tank, so having an automatic fill-up every two weeks is a dream. All that to say that PacWest Propane is amazing. They give you such peace of mind, and they couldn't be more accessible or helpful. Plus, have I mentioned that their service comes with the best price in the area? They beat the prices of every company in the area, including the big companies. So No heat and Amerigas said 10 days! We call PacWest propane and they came out as soon as we called, unhooked the Amerigas tanks, installed one tank and only could fill it up 30%, came back a second time today to fill it up, then went back and got the second tank and came all the way back just now in the dark to hook it up and fill it for less than half of what we were paying with Amerigas! And they are super friendly and helpful. Customers for life! You must make the switch! read more

We are so glad we found Pac West because they are by far the best supplier out there. We ran through an entire 500 gallon tank in 2 months so we suspected a leak and had our regular supplier come out and check it. After charging us a fee just to come out the technician said he couldn't figure it out and his best guess is that our water heater turns on too often...We have used two other big name companies before and have always had to negotiate a decent price. Pac West straight out offered us a much better price, no contract, no negotiation needed. On top of that Rob inspected our whole system for free and discovered what the issue was. He replaced the part, made sure everything was working properly and even said to contact him again if we are still having issues. It is hard to find an honest customer service oriented propane company nowadays but this is one. I couldn't recommend them more! read more

Bolt came out yesterday and installed a lease tank for me and be use of the location of the existing leased tanks from another company we couldn't transfer the remaining fuel into the new tank without a crane. He came up with a great idea on connecting the tanks so I could drain their fuel first. Bolt was very professional and did a wonderful install. Ole kudos to hiring him. This October 2015 I cancelled my service with Amerigas and signed up with Pacwest Propane. This crew far exceeds Amerigas when it comes to customer service in addition to great prices ! The workers are the owners and we the consumer reap the benefit of excellent custoner service. I appreciate the fact that they have hired US combat Veterans too ! I had been dealing with another propane company to set a new tank for me. After weeks of waiting for return calls, I called them. They said they were sorry for not getting back to me, and now to set the tank it would be six weeks out. I called Pac-west and in four days time, counting the week end I had a new tank in the ground. This was done over in Cle Elum in the third week of Nov. Derrick called me at about seven thirty in the evening, to tell me the job was done and he was leaving the site. Considering how fast I had the tank in the ground, the time of year, and the late work hour. I don't know how I could of had better service.
