I needed CO2 for my beer keg and these people had what I needed. The person behind the counter was friendly and I have zero complaints.

After multiple stops I came to Big 5. They had several styles of adult rollerblades!! The inventory was all about 10+ feet up on wall shelves though. The girl working (young blonde girl) was super accommodating by getting on a ladder and bringing me down several pairs to try on. The store was busy at the time, but she took about 15 minutes out to help me. I've been here before for other sporting equipment, and the prior visits have been just as pleasant.

The first clerk I asked to sell me a pass fumbled around and could not log into a computer. He made an odd, childish sounding call to another clerk. That person came and the two of them would have been comical to watch, if not so sad. After about 5 minutes, clerk 2 called his manager. I had the dubious please of listening to first questions about the computer ( I could tell it was not good news of some type), then a long conversation about sales, socks and things the clerk was to do. It was very clear the customer standing awkwardly in their store was not important. So, after the call, I'd been in the store 10-15 minutes. The clerk addresses me, while looking down and to his left, like he was afraid of me. I had NOT said a single word at this point. He gave a long-winded excuse, this was a known issue, they had submitted tickets, they simply had to call the state and get it fixed. I simply said OK and left to find another store and by my pass. This store needs training and a manager shake up. To not post the computer was broke (so I would not drive there in the first place), to not notify staff, to not care about the customer standing there while they were talking socks and sales.... Everything that is wrong about retail training and service is endemic to this store.

The store had their sidewalk sales racks with some shirts on display and also outdoor chairs. I decided to walk Inside the store and was very impressed with the selection. Consider this store as a Sport Man Outdoor store, but it's family-owned. So that's nice! They have everything in this store from clothes to shoes to hunting and fishing stuff , guns, knives, outdoor gear. You know what I mean! The staff are nice & friendly. One of the employees actually shut the automatic feature down for the doors and only the doors would open when pushed physically because my toddler kept running around the store and wouldn't want to sit still in the shopping cart. They didn't have to do that, but that was very nice that they did that! lol The store has some awesome sales that I was able to buy some shirts for my husband and for my toddler. Although the store offers email receipts, you should get the physical receipts anyway because they detail the transaction items versus the email receipts. The email receipts I got only show the total of the sales, which would be very confusing if you were to try doing return - exchange because the store would need to see the items listed. I will 10/10 come back to this store in the future!

I went in today 06/07/25 just to browse and bought something and the checker Gracie, seemed completely bothered by me trying to buy something. I didn't realize me trying to make a purchase which made her have to get off her phone was such an issue. Even the person I was with as we left was wondering why she seemed so bothered. Hopefully she had a better day. Anyways kudos to the older lady who helped me make my shoe purchase, you're a rockstar.

They also have camp cookware, fuel canisters, and freeze-dried foods. They also carry solar-powered electronics, battery chargers, and other devices. This place is like a supercenter for outdoor recreational activities. I could spend extra hours in the store, just browsing, and marveling at all the options they have. Some of my favorite items are The Walker's Digital Electronic Earmuffs for indoor shooting protection and the Salty Crew Apex Perforated Long-Sleeve Hooded Sunshirt for style. Although several items are pricey, they do offer memberships and various discounts to reduce the damage to your pockets. I usually frequent this place twice a month, sometimes just for a browse for sales or to find items that I do not currently have on hand that will be very useful in the future. Oh, and I just absolutely love interacting with service reps because they actually love what they do in their job. If you or someone you know enjoys adventurous outdoor activities, there aren't many places that have the quality and quantity that Bass Pro Shop offers.

After repeated poor customer service experiences, I've decided to stop shopping at the Tacoma Bass Pro Shops and will likely take my business elsewhere altogether. At the Tacoma store, asking for help consistently feels like an inconvenience to employees. Checkout interactions have also been cold and dismissive, both in tone and body language. Recently, my wife asked whether she qualified for a military discount. Instead of explaining the requirements, the cashier abruptly asked, "Where's your military ID?" That exchange reflects the way we've been treated there on multiple visits. The one exception to the lack of attention is the credit card pitch. Employees are quick to approach you about signing up as soon as you walk through the door, sometimes so persistently that it feels awkward and intrusive. I wish that same attention went toward helping customers once they're shopping. I had a similar experience at the Cabela's in Lacey while purchasing a firearm. I didn't know I needed to sign in on a touchscreen before approaching the firearms counter. When I went to ask for help, the employee made me feel foolish for not knowing the process. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy whether they're spending $10 or thousands. These repeated interactions have cost Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's my business. I'll be shopping with a competitor.

We were on a mission to see the geek squad... at least seven to eight or more GS vehicles parked out front like a convention was in town.... so we were very optimistic to get some electronic help, shop/browse about and inquiry about a fit bit purchased here that was glitching. We were greeted right away upon entering and received a lot of warm smiles for majority of Best Buy Guys & Gals... it was kind of refreshing to maneuver about a truly large location and stumble upon some good deals. There seemed to be way more employees than customers here, so I'm not sure if this is the norm... but I also know more people shop online than ever before. While I browsed electric razors my friend has some issues with getting a straight answer regarding his fit bit he had gotten with a limited warranty just shy a week or so of the date... considering that it was almost a ghost town in regards to customer and there were zero people in the customer service/geek squad line I was surprised they didn't offer him any real assistance other than to reach out to the manufacturer... they guy handed us a poorly written piece of paper with the customer service line for the model of Fit we had and sent us on our marry way. I don't want to turn anyone away from coming to this store, but it does seem like they sleep on missed opportunities often... this was only my second time here but both times have been similar as far as that extra effort to make a sale or aid in fixing a solution... especially if that's your area of expertise... I will say that the lost prevention guy on duty was fairly personable and wished us a good day after exiting....

We didn't end up buying yet, but we are far more educated due to their employee. We also found a cool chainsaw man statue on sale for only 11 dollars!
