They spent time with me on the phone to troubleshoot the potential problems with my 13 year old Whirlpool front load washer. But best of all they recommended getting a new one instead of pouring money into having them work on an aging machine that the manufacturer doesn't make parts for anymore. kudos!!! read more

I contacted Ben's Appliance about my leaking refrigerator and communicated with Elizabeth via text, photos, and several phone calls to diagnose the issue. I was given a tentative diagnosis and an estimated cost via text. When Ben came to do the repair, I was not home, but my mother was present. After the work was completed, my mother called to inform me of the total cost, which was double the estimate I was provided. I asked to speak with Ben to ask for clarification. As soon as I expressed my concern, Ben became highly agitated and began yelling, claiming the higher cost was due to taking everything apart. I had to ask him to stop shouting at me because I was simply trying to understand the charges, not to avoid payment. I also told him that I felt he should have discussed and explained what the problem was and the cost before the repair began, especially given the significant deviation from the estimate. When I told him what I was quoted, he said it was wrong and that he would "chastize" her later. After we hung up, he continued yelling at my mother in our home, then slammed the door after being paid. Once I reviewed the receipt, I noticed the reason the price was different was due to a "service fee". Not the additional labor cost to take everything apart, as Ben mentioned. Elizabeth was actually in the ballpark with the cost for the "repair". She just failed to mention the fee for them to come out. I called Elizabeth to provide feedback and to ask why this fee wasn't disclosed upfront. She said it wasn't mentioned because I "never asked." I guess I wasn't specific enough when I asked how much it would cost for them to come out and fix it. She then put me on speaker, and Ben again became defensive, yelling, and calling me a clown before abruptly ending the call. I understand that estimates can change, but fixed fees should be disclosed and discussed upfront. Treating a PAYING customer disrespectfully when requesting clarification is entirely unacceptable. I caution anyone considering Ben's Appliance. read more

Experienced and prepared to fix the issue with our washer (Electrolux). Also had some great advice on maximizing the cleaning effectiveness of the washer. read more

I have been using Ben for our appliance repairs for many years and have ALWAYS had quick, professional work done well. He and wife Elizabeth work together as a team, she answers the phone, schedules and occasionally helps on the job when extra hands are needed. They are very competitive with the price and will advise if they believe the repair is not worth it on old appliances. I highly recommend Ben. RW read more

Terrible customer experience after sending a defective part. I ordered a replacement drawer control panel for my Kitchenaid refrigerator and it was delivered quickly. When I installed it, it did not work. Prior to ordering the part, I had a repairperson confirm that power was going to panel. After contacting Ben, he noted that this was the second time the factory had sent out a defective part and that he would contact the factory about the part I received. Since then, Ben has cut off all communication. He has not responded to any communications since August...it is now the end of November. I am now out nearly $300 for a part that never worked and have no recourse or way to get it replaced or refunded. If Ben would just respond with how we can resolve this, it would be a completely different review but if you have a return, my experience is that you're going to eat the cost, so think twice before purchasing from this store. read more

I reached out about an issue with our stovetop, and they helped troubleshot via text, saving us all time, and saving me an unnecessary expense. Turns out my stovetop is behaving normally / as it was designed to work, so a repair is not needed but if I ever need anything with any of our appliances again, this will be the first place I go. read more

Ben was great, was able to come the day after I called, and fixed my refrigerator quickly. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Thanks, Ben!

Great service and support for a fridge issue. Will definitely use again for appliance issues in the future.

Excellent and efficient service! My fridge ice maker broke and after a disastrous experience with another repairman, Ben ordered the part, made one trip to our house to install, and charged a reasonable fee. Highly recommend! read more

Exchanged messages one time, and although I was told they would get back they never did. Totally ghosted. Two stars because they at least responded once. read more

I got the part I ordered in good time, but I erred in the wire size. I wanted a larger gauge (8awg) wire with female spade. I told them, they wanted more info, I did that, and never heard back. I also was thinking I'd bought this from Amazon, but I did give them their order number. Anyway, I'll keep what I got, no biggy, just harder when pushing 80 to keep things straight. They seemed like a good group, my error not theirs. read more

Have used Ben many times. He has proven to be knowledgeable and quite competent. I have a call into him as I write this.

Response, comprehension kindness. I keep waiting for one of 5 phone calls to appliance repair people. This is one of the good guys even tho he's way far he would still come to help. read more

Ben arrived on time and very quickly determined the problem on our washing machine. He quickly fixed the issue and then leveled the machine correctly as a courtesy. Ben was friendly and brings much experience to the job. Ben's wife was very helpful on the phone scheduling our appointment. So nice to deal with this kind of professionalism these days. Highly recommend Ben for appliance repair. Great value also ! read more

Had a great experience with Ben today. He came out to replace the heating element in my oven. Ben was friendly and took the time to show me the issue and what was wrong with the faulty part. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the part on hand to do the replacement. He was in and out in an hour. Great service at a fair price. Would definitely recommend. read more

Elizabeth diagnosed our oven problem from our initial communications and a photograph she requested. Ben appeared with the correct part within the week, quickly & efficiently made the repair, and the charge was exactly as quoted. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Didn't know what was wrong but oven wasn't getting up to temperature. Elizbeth was able to diagnose over the phone and Ben came the next day. I explained to Ben the importance of finding great service and that is exactly what they provide. Will definitely be recommending whenever I get the chance. Excellent customer service is hard to find these days but Ben's provides the best. read more

I actually did not use this repair service. However, I called and talked to the nicest woman! I gave her the make and model of my washing machine and found out that since it was so old, they didn't make the parts necessary to fix it. Then, when I asked, she gave me recommendations on a new machine and which ones I should avoid. I really appreciate her going the extra mile. read more

Ben came to see if my washer was repairable, promptly as usual. Here for over half an hour to determine that the machine was beyond help and that we would have to replace it. He said there would be NO CHARGE since we were going to have to spend a lot to get a new one. Besides doing excellent repair work at reasonable price, he is probably the most ethical man that I have had the pleasure to know. You will never be sorry that you call him for service! read more

Elizabeth went over several things to try before sending Ben out. One of them worked, it was for a washing machine. With a 4 year old, going without one is just impossible with me being 75. I was blown away at the obvious attempt at trying to help before costing money. I know not of one other appliance service who would even think of that. So would I recommend? ABSOLUTELY. VALUE. Seriously how can you not value a company that thinks of you first? read more

Very fast reasonable service. We discussed issue prior to visit so he had the correct part when he arrived. My Maytag washer was fixed in no time. Definitely recommend Ben's Appliance Service! read more

So glad I picked Ben's Appliance Repair! Elizabeth, goes the extra 2 miles to find parts on vintage cooktops! If they are no longer available, she searches for generic compatible parts! Once Ben is analyzing the problem, he will give you an honest assessment of the problem. There is hope, you can still repair your vintage appliances! I highly recommend this company! read more

I have had really good fortune with all our appliances over the years, keeping up on regular maintenance & not needing repair service. When our refrigerator stopped cooling I was certain it might be time to get a new one, as it's 16 yrs. old. Bens office staff communicated quickly & reliably, asking questions to get an idea of what the issue could be before arrival. Scheduling was smooth & Ben was on time. He quickly found the problem, replaced the part with one he had in his truck. He has reasonable pricing and integrity in his assessments pricing & repairs. It's intimidating having someone come to do repairs in an area you have to completely trust their expertise. I would hands down use him again and recommend him to others. The entire experience, beginning to end couldn't have gone better. read more

Elizabeth was delightful on the phone and called me back in the exact time frame outlined on their outgoing voicemail, mailbox just yesterday when I first called them. The second appliance service I called yesterday for an estimate still has not called me back and Ben finished the job already this morning. I'm always slightly taken aback at the expense but the way they took on our repair and got it done quickly was well worth the expense. I love and appreciate great communication and they were top notch! Plus it REALLY feels like a family owned business with "Their name on the door" mentality. Well done Elizabeth and Ben. Well done! read more

I just got off the phone with Elizabeth and she was super helpful. She explained to me the problem with our dishwasher and researched it only to find out that it was too expensive to worry about fixing and just recommended getting a new one. Great customer service, I appreciate the help. read more

Fast and efficient replacement of oven fan. Fairly priced. Would recommend! He also helped me with a question about my refrigerator.

Our antediluvian shop refrigerator/freezer stopped refrigerating and freezing. I asked for help via Yelp. Of the three repair services Yelp listed, only Ben and Elizabeth were interested in the job. Elizabeth was the communicator. She asked intelligent questions, explained the service fee, cautioned me that some parts for this model were unavailable. We set a date and time. Both Ben and Elizabeth showed up that morning. Fortunately for us, the problem was one Ben could and did fix (faulty relay). Both are pleasant and communicative, and the process took less than one hour. I cannot speak as to their abilities with other appliances, but for our problem, highest recommendations. read more

Ben is fair and does amazing work. We were able to get an appointment quickly and he does not over charge.

Ben's Appliance was quick to respond online and an estimate was given. Ben arrived at time given. He was efficient and kept any mess to a minimum while working and left area clean. Ben is very kind and answered any questions I had about my washer. He also brought attention to an area of the washer that will need replacing in the future. Ben was quick to respond, made it out the next day, had the part, and did the repair. Could not have had a better experience

I had the pleasure of dealing with Ben's Appliance Service for an old refrigerator. Ben had my refrigerator running within an hour, however it was discovered later that there were other problems. I talked to Ben's wife this morning and they refunded me the cost of the parts as soon as they found out the refrigerator was not working properly.
