VERY happy now. Prior review: We hired Capitol Duct because they were the only company we called that used a scope (camera) to examine the ducts before cleaning. We should have gotten the ducts cleaned before installing an in-duct booster fan, but we didn't think of it, so we needed the cleaners to be extra careful with their rotating brushes in that area. They came out 3-2-26. [I deleted the rest of my review, but the photos can' be deleted - they show dirt that showed up on our filter 2 months later. Capitol Duct came out again right away and took care of everything. NOTE to others - if something goes wrong, call them before posting a bad review.]

But the discounts to do the furnace and AC was so incredibly good I did both at the same time. He came out for measurements and offered another discount to do the install the next day! Then Brent and his team came right out the next day. What I like the most is the promptness! When they tell you a time the technicians show up at that time and get straight to work. I appreciate the 3 team members working together to take equipment out, explain what they are doing and test everything for quality. The photos helped to ease my mind and not charging me for attic patching saved us an unnecessary bill. The technician turn on the air conditioning and went to the back yard. And come back to me said the compressor is toasted. The sound for that compressor is not right bra bra bra. I know the compressor.is working. The compressor run for 30 second and shut down wait for 2 minutes will start again and it shut down after 30 seconds, and it has good pressure inside the compressor. I paid $130 for that useless system diagnosis report. I have another guy come to check. The guy went up to attic, then he find that wet sensor is dead. That is the problem, $60 fixed. After we change it. The air conditioning is good now. I would never call this company again.

First, I had initially called about my dryer vents since my dryer was complaining about it, and I was worried since it's a known fire hazard. But they offered me to deep clean the other vents too, and I gladly accepted since I've noticed a lot of dust too. Richard the technician did a good job with the air vents and I could tell the air was lighter at home. However the dryer kept complaining days after. So I reached out and they had Richard come back again for second visit for free, and they realized my dryer ducts are extremely long and extremely clogged. Richard managed to extract a massive (see photo) bag of lint after a couple of hours of hard work. Thanks for being thorough! It was a great experience.

In related news, I later found out that asking adding a surcharge for debit transactions is actually illegal per U.S. Federal law. Good to know. (https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf) You might bring this up when they attempt to do charge you for a debit card, which my agent did. They can charge up to 3% for credit cards. Nevertheless, the good folks are the office were very nice about reversing the double-charge. I am waiting to see when it comes through. Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

She was pretty rude on the phone when I spoke with her. Not only that, she left two nasty voicemails on my phone demanding for the money on a Saturday (10/19/19) when I was never informed that the service was completed. I ended up paying over the phone and asked to be emailed the receipt. I never got the receipt.
