I understand that working in food service can be exhausting. I'm 18 and have worked as a server myself. I know there are bad days, difficult customers, and times when you simply don't feel like smiling. But when you're working with the public, basic courtesy and professionalism still matter. You don't have to love your job every second, but you should at least treat people with respect. What makes this especially frustrating is that this is a small town that gets a huge amount of tourism from people visiting Mount Rainier. This restaurant has an opportunity to leave visitors with a great impression of the area, and instead the experience I had was rude, disorganized, and unnecessarily hostile. I really hope management sees this review and takes it seriously. The food needs improvement, but the service needs even more attention. We got a pleasant surprise and we always love these unexpected surprises like this when on our travels. Morton is a good place to have a brewery as it gets enough traffic and tourism that one could make a go of it here. I got their Grassy Mountain Wheat which was very good! I always like getting a good wheat beer and this was a good one! Steve tried a different beer and that was good too. The folks that run the place are really friendly and a pleasure to chat with. Good brewery and looking forward to making a stop whenever I'm back in the area.
