Artichoke Spinach dip with pita

Loved the outdoor seating. Lots of tables/chairs both inside and out. Bloody Mary's were perfect to us, spicy and delicious. The artichoke dip was epic. Our server was super helpful and had great conversation.

Spinach artichoke dip

Cute cozy lodge at crystal mountain resort! Stopped in after a full day of skiing for dinner. We shared the spinach artichoke dip and the bacon blue cheese burger. I really liked the burger and the dip was standard. Portions & prices were good. Service not the quickest, but we weren't in a rush so didn't mind.

Pretzel
Sagittarius A.

My boyfriend and I went here after getting lost while snowshoeing, being extremely cold, ravenous, and thirsty. The pretzel and wicked cider were absolute perfection. The pretzel was hot and salty, with a crisp exterior and chewy interior, no grease whatsoever. I also ordered a turkey BLT, it was actually pretty good, well proportioned. I liked the Bavarian ambiance, very cozy for a ski resort. Definitely recommend!

Maybe the smallest Mac and Cheese portion ever!

I try to have realistic expectations for restaurants in a ski resort but I had to post a review after ordering take out dinner during my stay at Alpine Inn last week. I ordered three things: half order of nachos with shredded chicken, Caesar salad with chicken breast, and the Mac and Cheese. They put way too much dressing for the Caesar salad and the dressing didn't taste fresh/homemade. But the worst part of the meal was the Mac and Cheese. It cost $16 and the portion had to be less than a cup. Again, I don't expect much when eating at a restaurant in a ski resort but charging $16 for a cup size portion of Mac and Cheese is just robbery!

Jaeger shots and beer

Classic apres ski spot. Feels like stepping back in time to the glory days of skiing and apres watering holes. Prices are what you'd expect, vibes are good. A little musty and Dank inside, as it should be.

Goulash was bomb! This dish pictured with GF noodles.

Magical setting. Gas lit fires inside half enclosed tents and accommodating servers. Want a bottle of wine to go? No problem. Need a cocktail to take back to your room, sure thing! Gluten free pasta, of course. Dinner with my son on our first night at Crystal Mountain was made really special by dining here. We had a relaxing time eating by the gas fire and enjoying the snowy scene. The ONLY reason I can't give a higher rating is due to the bathroom sitch. Indoor bathrooms were not available (covid) so instead I was directed to a dark port-a-potty. Dark, as in pitch black! Holding my phone in one hand, I attempted to use the outdoor commode in the safest way possible. I wasn't sure if I should be more worried about rubbing against someone else's urine or dropping my phone in the germ infested space. The worst part though was the hand sanitizer was EMPTY. I'm a nurse, and last I checked, good hand hygiene is the number one way to prevent spread of germs. I exited the bathroom, tucked my now certainly germ infested phone in my pocket, and "washed" my hands in a pile of snow on my way back to our table. If I hadn't already had COVID, I'd likely have a pretty good chance of getting it now. Snorting Elk, please consider operating in ways that actually help reduce the spread of covid. I'll gladly give this place five plus stars once this problem is remedied.

If you don't give the Snorting Elk five stars then I don't think ski bars are for you. This place is legit! Fireplace, been around forever and serves great food. My favorite by far is the French dip, but the artichoke dip or pizza aren't bad either. Whatever you do, make sure you order an elk frost... made just for this bar and not sure you can find it anywhere else. Have fun on the slopes kids!

Slow and inattentive service. I think it should be obligatory for the server to mention that the Mac n cheese is made from a Kraft box.

The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. To the new owners --well done.

Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. Every server we interacted with was smiling and genuinely friendly. It really added to the atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys working there, and that kind of energy is infectious. Now, the food: the burger was exactly what I crave when I think of a good, old-fashioned burger. Nothing over-complicated, just juicy, well-seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. It was cooked just right, with that perfect balance of savory and juicy. Simple, but executed beautifully. On the side? Two absolutely gigantic onion rings that were golden, crispy, and sweet. The batter had a light crunch without being greasy, and the onions inside were tender and flavorful. Basically onion ring perfection. The mozzarella sticks were another standout. Hot, gooey, and with a satisfying cheese pull that was honestly Instagram-worthy. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Exactly how they should be. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. They were trying too hard with a fancy mixology vibe that didn't quite land. But the beer? Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

I upon entering, you are greeted with tables on the left side of the dining room, and a bar on the right side. It's probably seating for 40, and there are a large number of TVs for the size of the space. We stopped in on an evening when the Seahawks were playing, so it worked out very well! The bar is about two steps up from a dive, and had a nice array of nonalcoholic options in addition to the standard, small town, alcohol fare. The food was quite good, and pretty straightforward. It's pretty standard bar type food, with a couple of nice burger options, a couple salads, and a couple other fried options. We ended up with a number of different burgers, and a couple of salads. Everything was made when we ordered it, and was really good size for the price. Our waitress took really good care of us, and everybody left full and very happy with the decision to stop in! They're honestly was nothing we didn't enjoy it. The food, the service, the overall vibe and the price. We're all exactly what we were looking for. This is definitely a spot. I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. Grab a pint, sit back, and relax after a very tiring adventure!

Solid 3.5 overall…read more We like this place but I probably ordered the wrong thing on the menu - the vermicelli bowl with peanut sauce and the nuac Cham sauce. While the salmon BLT and grilled turkey sandwiches were fine, the bowl was not. The nuac Cham sauce had no fish sauce or taste and the peanut sauce did not taste like peanut sauce and was super thick. It was a bit weird with pickles at the bottom. Normally, the dish has jalapeño and the cucumbers are cut in strips v. Slices. The noodles seemed overcooked. The Portions are decent. We give the sandwiches 4 stars but the bowl is a 3 for taste. The poutine is what we started with, the fries were piping hot, the gravy was rich and delicious, and did I mention there was bacon jam in there? Since we had the poutine as an appetizer, we opted to get salads instead of the side fries for our burgers and sandwiches. I have to admit this is one of the most impressive side salads I've ever had. The greens were so fresh! On special they had their homemade clam chowder which checked all the boxes, it had a great balance of meat to potato to herb. I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life. If you see it on special you need to get it. My group ordered the mushroom burger, the the bacon jamburger, and the French dip which we split three ways. And when I tell you we fought over keeping our own. I am not lying. The burgers were juicy, the toppings were generous and well balanced. The French dip had roast beef that just melted in your mouth. For the first time. I don't think I needed the au jus. One of my party ordered the truffle gnocchi with wild mushrooms. I don't know how, but it was somehow light, not too rich, and the gnocchi soft pillows had the perfect fluffy texture. We did have to take most of our food home because the portions were generous. And somehow the gnocchi reheated. Well. I'm going to call that a miracle. All in all, if you're anywhere near Enumclaw you need to go here. We made the trip from Puyallup because my dad could not stop raving about the poutine. Next time I'm in town. I will be back!

Luckily, they had a number of sandwich and salad options. Our group enjoyed the Cuban, the chicken pesto, the Roslyn Rider, and a Caesar salad, which had some of the best croutons we've had in sometime! Another notable find was the snack mix... Not something that you would normally gush about, but this was filled with all of the best things the world has to offer Cheetos, bugles, Cheez-Its, and pretzels. If the Gardetto rye chips were in this, your head might just explode. For a relatively small outfit, the service here was very fast as they pumped out all of our food in about 10 minutes. There is ample indoor seating, and a lot of outdoor seating, which is shaded, and all of which is lovely! They've got a nice area with cornhole and some other games to play. They also have board games available inside. The only thing they are lacking is a big grassy area kids can go run around, but the asphalt worked just fine this spring day.
