Casting Iron is pretty cool. Their ax throwing lanes are really nice and so is their bar. Be careful if you plan on mixing the two activities! During my visit I was mostly observing others throw axes as I hurt my shoulder the day before, but again the venue was really well designed. They offer large tables with various other games like Jenga and a few others I can't recall. When it comes to food, I will note that they were out of most of their meat food options which left a bit to be desired. Service was solid, and drinks were good.

First time here. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe. Service was slow and hard to flag our waitperson down. There was a group of people axe throwing and I'm surprised that one person who had open-toed sandals on was allowed to throw. That said, I was all set to order the chicken and waffles until I was shown a picture that it was served as a wrap. Thank you for that before I ordered. Got the flatbread and a side of coleslaw. Coleslaw was fine and the flatbread was good, nothing to write home about but good for the price.

We had a ladies night, had some pretty good food, excellent service, and great fun place. Place was clean, loved the music they placed. At first I was scared of throwing the axe, but later felt confident as I kept throwing. All the pauses had a blast. 30.00 per person for an hour was well worth it. Our server Melissa was super sweet. I had sweet tea with free refills...delicious. Although I don't like burgers I decided to try the slider flight. I forgot which ones I chose but you get three. I only took a couple bites of each just to taste, then brought the rest home for my hubby to finish. He really enjoyed em'. I wish we had a place like this closer to where most of us live. Casting Iron is a good 40 min drive for some of us. Only two in our group live nearby. Isaiah was great giving us the safety drill, and helped me with my throwing. I got better throughout the night. Riely the owner came to let us know that they'll have speed dating nights. So for you singles out there, check it out. The ones of us who are married I know the hubs were jealous because now they want to throw axe hahaha.

We went to Casting Iron for the first time. I wanted to surprise my husband for his 50th Birthday. I used the online reservation system to arrange a time to play. There were plenty of options and it was a quick couple of questions. We had already eaten dinner so we only ordered drinks. My husband had a beer and I had "Boat Shoes" a tropical drink. My second drink was a Key Lime Martini and it alone is worth a trip to Casting Iron!! Seriously. Ax throwing was definitely the highlight of the night. We quickly got our instructions and began play. It's like bowling and NOT at all like bowling but conceptually you understand. We laughed and drank and threw ax...what more could you want? Give Casting Iron a try. Bet you'll be back!

We went Axe throwing here today. It was a really cool atmosphere. The bar was super nice. We got huckleberry beers. I never threw a axe before and it was a blast!

We came to throw axes with friends. It was fun! The good and snacks avail for purchase are very good. High end presentation and quick service. We grabbed a table after and had a bite. The price of the whiskey flight is higher for the whiskey provided but it was really good and came with nails to play the game on the stumps. (Hit your nail into it) The vibe is relaxed and fun, they have assorted games at tables to entertain and keep the banter going at tables. This was super fun.

Awesome Friday night here with a live band in the street! The hipsters played last night and it was a blast! The bar owner even jammed out with them on a few songs! Food- we had bbq brisket nachos that were very good, and a very large soft pretzel with beer cheese. See pics. The venue is really cool. 9 stalls for ax throwing and 1 party room in the back for private events. The food and beer appears to be all from local sources. There's an 85 inch tv behind the bar for sporting events also. The owner is reserving the entire place for homecoming and having a dinner for students only with free limo to the dance after! Great idea! Really cool bar, good food, good drinks and beer. Come throw some axes. We will be back. We had a great night!

But for $26 I expected more than 5 small ribs. The sides. The Mac n cheese was pretty good. I'd give it a solid 3 . The waffle rides were also fresh and crispy with a bit of smoke flavor. 5 Service. Also going with 1 . I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. But it would have been nice for someone to just be out front to answer questions. We were there 40 minutes. In that time I saw the guy twice. Taking my order and dropping off my food. I'd go back again before they close. I'd stick with The burnt ends.

Let me tell you about my server, the absolute legend who conquered his two-pack-a-day habit through the revolutionary "Brisket Smoke Immersion Protocol." This hero of modern medicine discovered that 60 minutes of face-time with oak-smoked brisket vapors carries the same satisfaction as 47 cigarettes, but with the added benefit of making your hair smell like victory. "The trick," he'll tell you while delivering a plate of burnt ends, "is to position yourself exactly 7.3 inches from the top rack, where the smoke density hits that sweet spot between 'spiritual awakening' and 'temporary meat blindness.'" He tracked his progress in a leather-bound journal that's now permanently infused with smoky goodness. Day 1 entry: "Visibility limited, meat particles adhering to eyebrows." Day 15: "Have begun to communicate telepathically with the brisket. It speaks of great wisdom." Day 30: "I am become smoke, destroyer of cravings." The restaurant had to install a special timer just for these sessions. They call it the "Meat Meditation Chamber," and there's now a waiting list of people trying to kick various habits through strategic smoke exposure. One guy supposedly gave up energy drinks by huffing pulled pork vapors for three weeks straight. The best part? While sharing his journey to smoke-based enlightenment, he'll serve you the most transcendent BBQ this side of the astral plane. The brisket doesn't just fall apart--it voluntarily deconstructs itself out of respect for your taste buds. The ribs have converted more vegetarians than a bacon-scented hypnosis podcast. Five stars. Would absolutely sit through another 45-minute explanation of how the smoke molecules restructured his DNA while demolishing a plate of burnt ends again. Just don't ask about the time he accidentally fell asleep in there and woke up speaking fluent Memphis-style BBQ. P.S. They're thinking about bottling the smoke as a cologne. There's already a pre-order list.

Today, I knew I would be driving through, so I decided to check this place out. I'd looked at the website and felt confident I would find at least one item to sample and take with me. I was greeted by a young woman who was very friendly. She pointed out the selection and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told her I was interested in Hot Links; she asked if I wanted fresh or smoked. I advised Smoked and when she checked, they were sold out. At that point, I decided to settle for fresh and when we looked there, again they were sold out. I don't know if the links are that good, or if they just aren't gifted at managing their inventory. It's Friday and I'd like to believe you want everything stocked going into a weekend. At that point, I asked about Jerky, she handed me a pack, but I passed. It had brown sugar, which the cheap grocery store jerky's have. Meat is savory, not sweet, if you want sweet jerky, then add it to teriyaki, but plain jerky should have very little if any sugar in my opinion. I would have considered this a bust, but I was headed up the road to Blue Max anyway and they have the best jerky in the region in my opinion, unfortunately their hot link is more of a spicy hot dog than traditional Louisiana Red.

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. Every server we interacted with was smiling and genuinely friendly. It really added to the atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys working there, and that kind of energy is infectious. Now, the food: the burger was exactly what I crave when I think of a good, old-fashioned burger. Nothing over-complicated, just juicy, well-seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. It was cooked just right, with that perfect balance of savory and juicy. Simple, but executed beautifully. On the side? Two absolutely gigantic onion rings that were golden, crispy, and sweet. The batter had a light crunch without being greasy, and the onions inside were tender and flavorful. Basically onion ring perfection. The mozzarella sticks were another standout. Hot, gooey, and with a satisfying cheese pull that was honestly Instagram-worthy. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Exactly how they should be. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. They were trying too hard with a fancy mixology vibe that didn't quite land. But the beer? Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Proper Patty ($11) - This burger comes with two smash patties, both of which are heavily salted and somewhat crisped up - the pictures from other people make it seem like they cook long enough to get lacy caramelized edges, but it's not quite to that point. Instead, the burgers, while not moist and fatty, aren't dried out either, and give a great beefy flavor. The burger sauce adds some tangy sweetness, and some pickles on top adds even more sweetness, but a very fresh crunch. It's otherwise pretty standard with the lettuce and tomato. A solid smashburger. (4/5) Fries ($5) - These are fried enough to give a crust on the potatoes, but not enough for the fries to be come crisp. Still, they aren't floppy, so while not entirely crisp, these are still good for eating especially since the insides are nice and fluffy. They are salted a lot, which combined with the salty dip (we went with the Bud's Sauce), equals a parched mouth after eating. I think they actually use a lime salt or something as I can detect a bit of citrus flavor. The Bud's Sauce is a nice mayochup mixture with I think a bit of smokiness from paprika and some chopped onion. It's sweet, tangy, and salty. (4/5) Overall Burger Buds serves some nice classic smashburgers! It's great for a visit while in town for a quick and easy meal.

I have to admit this is one of the most impressive side salads I've ever had. The greens were so fresh! On special they had their homemade clam chowder which checked all the boxes, it had a great balance of meat to potato to herb. I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life. If you see it on special you need to get it. My group ordered the mushroom burger, the the bacon jamburger, and the French dip which we split three ways. And when I tell you we fought over keeping our own. I am not lying. The burgers were juicy, the toppings were generous and well balanced. The French dip had roast beef that just melted in your mouth.
