Took my family here on a whim. We drive by Bootleggers all the time so figured why not try it out and support the local economy, you know? Went in on a Saturday evening so the place was busy but not crowded. There's a wrap around parking area where we scored the second to last parking. Walked in and sested ourselves in the center of the dining area, sharing another half of a larger table with a nice older couple. They seemed to enjoy our kids. My kids loved the arcades and somebody handed them a couple quarters, but the machine ate a quarter and left my boy hanging. Theres also little vending machines too. The servers were nice enough, not too fast not too slow. The gal who served us did well and accommodated for my kids which I thought was kind of her. The food - the portions are large! For the price you get a lot of food and it's all very yummy. Burger dip, french dip, patty melt, these are all of my bar staples and theyve got them! One of those uses mushrooms and I wonder if you get it without. My wife ordered their larger burger and enjoyed half of it - taking the other half home. The kids meals are $7. Yes, you read that correctly. THE KIDS MEALS ARE SEVEN DOLLARS! My daughter pounded the fish, my youngest son ate his burger, and my middle son ate his chicken strips. My kids got soda with their orders, while my youngest got a giant dank looking chocolate milk. The fries are potato cut style - I guess Five Guys style is closest - and a little on a overdone side for my liking. But they tasted good; my daughter's sweet potato fries were very good. I saw a neighboring table with the tater tots - those looked really good. Your choice of dipping sauce is offered. BBQ or Ranch is best. Remember the large portions? You get a ton of fries per meal, even the kids get a boatload of fries each. Kids can order PB&J, mac and cheese, and other bar bites if desired. My meal, a burger dip, was very good. Wally's makes a legit burger dip and Bootleggers was slightly better than that. The au jus was outstanding. Swiss cheese, really soft well toasted hoagie roll, seasoned beef. I would definitely order it again. There's a special every night and Saturday night was $15 8oz sirloin + fries. Seems to rotate specials. We saw several people order the sirloins and it looked good. We almost ordered one to let the kids split and test it, but decided against it not having tried the food at Bootleggers yet. The beer was good - $7.50 for a Seven Seas IPA. I ordered two. Nice and cold, clean glasses, decent head. No complaints to the bar whatsoever. I noticed Bootleggers seals soft drinks with a wrap top versus a lid. Don't see that often. Atmosphere is a dive bar. Pool table, darts I think, pull tabs, a couple TVs. The bar area is gated off. Was clean enough inside, wasn't expecting spic-and-span or anything. Family of five all ordered meals, two beers, tip, was about $75ish all-in. This is fantastic value, especially for a kid-friendly down-the-highway bar. I might argue Bootleggers is a top value + family-friendly dining option in the area. No kids after 9PM. We will definitely go back. I wish this place would lean more into their kitchen and add a few more diner-like options. The turkey bacon sandwich and Motherclucker (BBQ chicken) were in this arena and both sounded very good. I am African American woman and believe they refused to serve us based on "my"race. They greeted & served a Caucasian family who came 15 minutes after we sat down. Nearly always the same order, and nearly always the same great food, only been disappointed once a few weeks back, when they ran out of steaks. The very pleasant wait-staff are usually very busy, and they obviously get a lot of exercise running back and forth as they do. Bootleggers is a local watering hole with very average food. I'd like them more if their service were better but the last three times we've visited for lunch I've had to go track down napkins and utensils. I'd truly prefer to like them more but I've tried multiple times snd I'm just terribly underwhelmed. read more

It was New year's Day around 4:30 PM. the place was decently busy but we sat down at a table right when we walked in. It took the waitress forever to clean off the dirty table we were at (it was the only table available to seat our group of 5). Once the table was cleaned, our drinks were slow to get ordered and come out. We sat around for almost an hour before we got our food. We ordered: - Mozzarella Sticks - Bowl of Chili with onion, cheese, and cornbread - French Dip with crinkle fries - Our friends ordered other items but I did not take note of what they ordered Mozzarella sticks came out the same time as all the food. They were supposed to be an appetizer. They were overcooked and not at all gooey on the inside, just kinda blah cheese. My chili was not hot as in temperature wise. More like lukewarm. Lukewarm chili is not very good. Cody was not impressed with the French Dip either, with the 10 French Fries he got with it. Our group as a whole was unimpressed with the service and food. Would have been faster and tastier if we went a lil further to the Red Robin in Bonney Lake. We recently made the trip out to this area because we were going to Maris Farms, but we had to prefunk and get food before - so we took to Yelp and found Bootleggers! It's an interesting bar for sure. It's family friendly but I really felt like I was in just a BAR. They've got older Medalist dart boards, a stage for karaoke, and one pool table. They've also got the Touch Tunes jukebox here so that patrons can play whatever music they want either by entering money into the machine or downloading the Touch Tunes app. When they have karaoke going on here, it's LOUD. Like, don't expect to come here and have a quiet conversation. You're gonna have to yell across the table. Their dart boards are definitely old, as I mentioned above. We played a couple games on them and they've got tons of tips stuck in the board and the system hasn't been updated in YEARS. They had a pretty solid selection of beers. We started off with some Rainiers and then moved on to the seasonal Elysian Pumpkin Night Owl (a MUST try if you want to experience liquid pumpkin pie). For food, I got the Reuben Sandwich with tots and my boyfriend got a Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger. My Reuben was decent. I normally like sauerkraut but for some reason theirs tasted a little different/off so I wasn't a huge fan. Tater tots were seasoned nice and perfectly crispy. My boyfriend's burger ended up being okay, but for whatever reason the chef put a slice of cheddar on his burger AND bleu cheese and the waitress said they "forgot" not to add cheddar and if it tasted weird with the other cheese to let her know... There's not much in this area at all sooo that being said, Bootleggers is a great option to prefunk or to just have a night out if you're into the bar scene. read more

Lively and rustic bar with a fun atmosphere. This is a perfect spot for group gatherings. There are large wooden tables perfect for big groups. Entertainment includes karaoke, darts, pool table, and a small arcade section. Food service is the standard pub fare. I've tried the chicken fried steak and eggs, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and chicken tenders and fries. Nothing gourmet but definitely simple comfort food. They have multiple brews on tap. I recommend the Elysian night owl with its slight pumpkin pie flavor. The bartender does know how to mix cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned and the was made just as I like it. The servers are always friendly and quick to take our orders. They consistently check in to see if we needed more drinks. Overall, a fun bar especially during Saturday karaoke night. read more

Went for Wing Wednesday and was not disappointed! Friends got naked wings with sauce on the side while we got mango habanero tossed wings and they were great! Come here mostly on Sundays to catch some of the Football games with the hubby. Staff are friendly and attentive. The naked wings are pretty good. Fries are great and my husband had the French dip before which is shareable, it's huge! Also the Northwest Hotdog was delicious. Chicken strips are pretty good as well. The only thing I do not care for were the nachos. Their chips tasted stale they aren't good and the cheese was all on the bottom. Stopped here while passing through on a weekend of waterfalls, miniature cattle, ferry rides and fires on the beach of ocean shores. I ordered their medium plate of beef nachos... by Zeus it was anything but small. Overall impression was that they're pretty darn good, as far as bar nachos go. My only complaints would be the damned liquid queso cheese, and lack of toppings below the first layer of chips. Otherwise these were pretty solid nachos. Went here last week, we had the Reuben sandwich, the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, and chicken wings with the mango habanero sauce. Sandwiches were surprisingly really good, the fries were hand cut and cooked perfectly! The chicken wings were a little fatty but were still good. The first time there was a guy playing loud metal music and 'sang' one 'song' then went and hid in a cabinet in the corner of the room. He poked his head out and had a staring contest with my boyfriend. (He lost. Btw) We didn't know what was happening. No one was into it and it was very odd, but entertaining. We speculated as to whether it was the owners nephew or or was supposed to be karaoke... They should only play country music given the area and venue. The food and wait staff is ok, but could do better. The second time, the server refilled my boyfriends free soda, but I tried to flag down the server for another beer and finally just went to the counter and asked someone else. It still took another 5 minutes and no one brought my beer, but the server came over offended asking questions. We're not people that feel like we owe you a tip. Mom and I went here one day a few weeks back and had wonderful service. The steak fingers were delicious and rare to find on any menu anywhere. The server was very friendly and we really enjoyed our first visit here. However, our next visit was on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. There were 6 of us there to celebrate my neice's birthday. The young female server has a serious attitude problem and was very unprofessional. A 7th guest showed up and sat at our table. This rude little girl of a server came over and scolded us, stating only 6 people can sit here and 'one of you needs to move'. We were taken aback and did not realize this was a stupid Covid rule, and we really did not like her attitude and the way she approached us. So our 7th guest got up and played pool. We eventually moved out back to the patio at 10pm. We went back in to order some more beers and the woman behind the counter completely ignored us. As stated it was NOT busy in any way. She looked at us standing there and did not come over until we practically had to raise our voices. We got our beers and went back to the patio. At 10:15 the rude little female server came out and told us we had to be out of there by 11pm. OK, another stupid Covid rule on a Saturday night, so we said OK and she walked away. At 10:30 this server came back out and told us we had to leave NOW as they were closing. It was such a negative experience compared to our previous day visit. I wrote a review on their FB page and it was taken down. I put the review up again. It was taken down. Not once did anyone from this place reach out and apologize. Pathetic service. I do not know who owns this place but they should be ashamed of the type of environment they have there. Sorry this is long, but it really ruined my neice's birthday. Be wary of the night crew. We love this local place for it's charm and usually good customer service. It's a bar/restaurant with family dining until 9 (sign says). We came in as we usually do with our 10 year old son at 4 pm for an early dinner. There were maybe 10 patrons in the place. A guy sitting at the bar was watching Nascar. No problem. But he's clearly drunk and yelling obcenities about the race, so loudly that we as adults are cringing, and our son is covering his ears and saying he doesn't like it there. Our waitress comes over, seemingly oblivious to this inappropriate behavior, and asks us about ordering. I tell her we are going somewhere else. She says she completely understands, because of the guy yelling. I ask if a manager has been consulted about this. She says, "No, but I could if you want me to." Um, yeah. Because your business just lost money and you lost a considerable tip from two former servers who tip generously. And Yelp. I get it. It's a bar. But you tout family dining until 9pm on your reader board and have a kid's menu. At 4 pm I'd expect somebody in that place to handle a drunk guy yelling curse words at a TV screen. Doubt we'll be back until we hear of change of management. Somebody should have spoken up and handled it before your potential customers did so. read more

The burgers were nothing to write home about, and we had to flag down our waitress every time we wanted a refill on our drinks and she made it seem like we were a huge inconvenience for her just to get drink refills. Bar tender first took my money for pull tabs and then did not want to come help me with my winnings and to let me by more pull tabs, told me "it's not their priority" and walked away from me.
