Cheese Charburger on the left Wally Whopper on the right

We stumbled upon this place on a drive one day and finally came back to try it. This is a drive-in style burger joint where you can park and order at the stall or go inside and eat there. Very old school and retro but also very cute. The staff brought the food out pretty quickly (within 15 minutes) which was 45 minutes before closing. All of the food was great, we would happily come back. 5/5

Drove past this location, a billion and one times. Finally had the time and appetite to make my way to Wally's. I ordered the cheese burger with grilled onions and also the bacon cheeseburger with fries and taters. The burgers were soooo good but the fries were okay. They are beer battered. Not my favorite. The taters were good - who can go wrong with a tater tot. Service was okay. Ambiance was okay - definitely 1950s drive in. The vibe was not welcoming for us.

Was visiting Enumclaw/Buckley for the first time not too long ago, and I thought Wally's Drive-In would be a great place to check out since it fit the vibes of the adventure. My friend and I decided to dine in, so we both got some burgers and fries. I ordered the Wally Whopper which came with two patties, slices of American cheese and pieces of bacon, and some veggies between brioche buns. Ah man, the first few bites were SO GOOD. It tastes like how burgers should always be. But over time as I kept eating, I got a little tired of eating it. Maybe it was just too much for me, perhaps a single patty would have done me better. The fries were also great, thick cut and every bite was satisfying. Now THAT is something I can't get sick of. The house sauce with the fries also paired well together. Not the kind of burger place I would keep coming back to if it was near me, but if I am in the area I would consider revisiting.

Let's start first with the atmosphere, love it. This is exactly the kind of old school diner that I love. They get bonus points for staying true to that vibe. Next we can talk about the excellent service the staff here provide, they are friendly and seem to really care about their customers. Unfortunately the food is where it fell short for me. The rodeo burger was great, cheese and saucy, just the way it should be. However, the fried chicken sandwich was bland, had no flavor... the breading needed seasoning for sure, and that bland chicken ruined the whole sandwich for me. The onion rings were better than average, as it didn't have the stringy stuff that makes you pull out the whole onion when you bite in, good for them on that... but again the batter was sorta bland. Lastly was Wally's sauce, let's talk about this for a minute.... I have a bone to pick with these places, everyone claiming to have their secret sauce... Normas, Big Tom's, Bob's, Frisko Freeze, Shake Shake Shake... I could go on.... ITS ALWAYS THE SAME SAUCE. Some variation of mayo, ketchup, mustard, and relish, Worcestershire, and garlic powder. Can we please come together and just make this known so they stop charging us extra for the secret sauce. Please, we don't get charged for ketchup, or mustard or mayo, it's not a secret, everybody has it... Ok rant over... Anyway go here, it's reasonably priced, friendly, cool vibe... Just don't get the bland breaded stuff.

Came back and I still stand by my original comments. Burgers were ok... not a fan of the fries. Service is good.

Always good! Only stop by on the way to/from Mt Rainier so not too often. Real old-fashioned drive-in food & ambiance. Got the Wally Whopper, as listed, fries, and a Root Beer shake. (Almost) too much food! Actually saved some for when I got home to Newcastle.

Menu as of December 2025. Always a good time at Wally's drive in. This might be one of a very few places you can get a peanut butter MALT shake. Yum!

My family of four ate here after hiking at Mount Rainier National Park, and it hit the spot! The burgers are great, I highly recommend the milkshakes, and the atmosphere was great! It was an old-school vibe that made my parents nostalgic. My mom forgot her fish didn't come with fries, so she went inside and told us she had just forgotten to order them. A waitress came out with an order of fries because she felt bad. Great fries too!

Fun old timey menu box that you order from and they bring your food out!

My bud says let's go meet up for burgers and brew. I'm like, "Sure, don't gotta ask me twice." And off we went. My mind was blown by all the things in such close proximity of each other... I mean like a parking lot closeness. We got some serious grub burgers, with a brewery next door to enjoy said tasty meat patties. With a distillery in the back/front, and a wine or tea bar on the other side. You don't have to go far to stumble or crawl. Ok... moving forward... back to Burger Buds! I had no idea this was the original truck or location. I live out in the Maple Valley area, and we frequent that burger buds often. However, every time I go, I always want to try a new burger. And the Wenatchee was calling my name. Something about crisp Washington apples and cheese just sounded good with some candied bacon. C'mon son! Not to mention their fries! We ordered our food, found a place to sit down inside the brewery, ordered some cider, and once the food was ready, we just sat and hung out and enjoyed conversation. This is a perfect location! So hats off to the owners of Burger Buds and Headworks Brewery for their joint adventure! Thank you for the experience and as always, enjoy and found a new Happy Place!

Order was taken at the counter and they bring your food out to you which I thought was a nice gesture of service. I ordered the cheeseburger with onion rings instead of fries. It was lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I liked how they wrap it so it's convenient to eat and you don't have to touch the burger. The burger tasted so clean and fresh. The onion rings were delicious! They had a good slice of onion in the batter and the fry was CRISP! It was crisp till the last bite. I will definitely be coming back to try other items off their menu.

We just love Out and About Burgers…read more Juicy burgers, savory onion rings, bomb ranch, and sweet seasonal shakes makes this one of our go to places. Drive thru only but don't worry, the line moves fast and the food is always worth the wait.

It's a really tiny little trailer, so I understand they're working with limited space, but having cars loop around in what feels like a figure-eight can be chaotic. People get impatient, start honking, and it's easy to accidentally cut someone off without realizing it. They're just burgers, people--everyone needs to relax a little! That said, despite how busy it was, the line moved surprisingly fast. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything, a side of onion rings, and a black raspberry shake. The shake was fantastic--definitely a highlight of the meal. The burger was also really good: flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. The only disappointment was the onion rings. They were incredibly greasy--so much so that they actually upset my stomach. I'm not sure if that's typical, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Next time I'd give the fries a try instead. One thing that really stood out was the pricing. It's refreshing to find a place that still offers fair prices when it feels like everything else costs an arm and a leg these days. Overall, I'd definitely come back. The burger and shake were worth it, and as long as I skip the onion rings, I think it'll be a solid meal.
