Service staff was very friendly and prompt despite being busy. The entire restaurant from the baseboards to the bathrooms was immaculately clean. The best old school Chinese food around. The four seasons was a part of a chain that had I think 7 restaurants #1 was the Dynasty's in federal way, 2 the Ming tree Bellevue 3 was forbidden city puyallup, 4 lotus tree auburn, 5 four seasons in enumclaw 6 the Great Wall in Tacoma and I can't remember #7 But all the restaurants had the same food and menu's and was allways the best. They completely revolutionized Almond Chicken. They were very well appointed with decorations, exciting to go into each one service was outstanding several people allways waiting on you. All are gone now except 4 seasons. I go every opportunity!!! read more

My family has made a reservation here every year for the last 5 years. This year was the worst service we've ever gotten. We are a large party verging on 28, but 5 different checks. You'd think it'd be easy but it's not. Apparently they wanted to take all of our orders at once and then put the tickets in. We were told ahead of time that it'd be a wait for food. I understand. I've worked in food service before. But we were told they were prioritizing every other table first around our group. Even the ones who came in later than us. Half our party left after waiting for our food for 2 hours (not even exaggerating we had a reservation a month in advance for 5:30pm) one group got their food first and it was cold. It took 1-1.5 hours for us to even get our soup. We never got a refill on our sodas. Water was scarce. The waitress told us she couldn't put our food tickets in because the chef was cutting her off since "there was too much". I was ironically the last one to get my food and I ordered a Dinner for One, a single plate compared to the rest of my family. I got my food at 8:30pm. 30 minutes after they closed. I overheard our waitress telling another group behind us around 9pm when we were leaving after I finished my food that she had to stay two hours later than the original end of her shift because of "this party" as she motioned in our general direction. Poor management. I understand short staffing. But there was a handful of reservations made in advance, maybe you shouldn't accept reservations if you can't properly accommodate or staff for it. I have a high patience tolerance. The highest out of my family. But my nephew who's 4 has type 2 diabetes and the wait was so long his own health was becoming questionable. I loved this place. But after seeing our waitress be incredibly unprofessional, blaming us for something that could have been easily avoided or accommodated is absolutely ridiculous. I don't think we will be back. I understand a long wait for food. But don't tell your customers that you're prioritizing everyone else first even though our reservation was first. We were not expecting to get all of our food at once. 5 tickets. 5 different times to bring out food. read more

I have been here many times....service always good. However, there has been a couple of times, food tasted spoiled. Server corrected immediately. I think it depends on what you order. Tonight I ordered orange chicken the second time in awhile; again some of the chicken tasted like it was going south. I also ordered pork rice, which is always good; not this time. Pork chow yuk is a must have every time I'm in town. When I asked for recipe there was no hesitation: stir fry vegetables, pork, homemade bone broth! There is a garden out back where, I assumed, they are growing most of the vegetables used in the restaurant! The food is always appetizing, delicious and satisfying (NO MSG!) Went in last night for a quick meal knowing they closed in a little over an hr. Waited to be seated for at least 10mins. Server comes. Throws our place mats and slams the water and tea down..waited a while to order. Come to find out they were out of the walnuts for the dish we wanted. She got angry when we asked if we could look at something else to order. Then took 15mins to come back. Got our food and she slammed the plates down. Fried rice was OK and the shrimp was clearly frozen then fried. Never refilled our waters or checked on us. Had to ask for the check so we could get out in a timely manner before they closed. We didn't get 2 blocks away before one of us got sick. I have had great experiences here and I have heard terrible reviews from others. Unfortunately we will not be coming back. Anyone who says they are good has no idea what good Chinese food is. I've wasted lots of money at this place, and they never seem to put out good quality food. Had a really long day, just wanted some soup and chow mein to take home. Got what is allegedly almond chicken but is really just a box of celery with some chicken bits. Not even kitting, I had to take a picture for evidence because I couldn't even believe it. Soup was meh. Crab Rangoon was good but that's not that difficult. I'm so irritated because we didn't even check it before we left, I guess that's my bad but I shouldn't have to check. Perks: hostess seemed really nice. We were in a nearby area and got hungry, so we stopped by to get something to eat. The place was nice and clean and so was their bathroom. The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. I ordered the szechuan beef and hot and sour soup while my husband ordered the mandarin chicken. The hot and sour soup didn't taste bad, but it got way too much corn starch and was very thick. The szechuan beef was too salty. This restaurant reminds me of a Chinese restaurant in a small town where the people that eat there don't know what good Chinese food should taste like. As far as portion sizes go, I thought it was rather generous for the price. Like the other reviewer said,even Panda Express is better. read more

I brought my family here in hopes of finding a good "American" Chinese food option. The ambiance was ok but I spent $175 for a party of 8 which is not bad. The bad was the food. Opaque and everything seemed like it was steamed with no flavor, not edible. I didn't even take the leftovers which is suppose to be the best part of a a Chinese food meal. This was so disappointing! I used to eat here for special occasions as a kid. Thought it would be fun to carry that on for my kids. My daughter's soup had a hair and fruit fly in it. The fried meat was ALL bland and over cooked to the point it was brick like. So much grease. We all went home and we're sick for 24 hours. Our server was not friendly and never checked on us. We discovered this place after our go-to place, Red Lotus in Auburn closed down over a year ago. The food is EXCELLENT - old school Chinese food that we grew up with! It's hot and absolutely delicious! We've been there probably 20 times for lunch since we found it and couldn't be happier with the food and the service. The family is friendly and accommodating. Our chicken dishes were clearly under cooked with pink and slim spots, and they argued with us that it was done, we told them we didn't feel safe eating any meat. We were made to pay for all but $14 of the $45 meal even though we couldn't eat most of it. I can see now why the reviews are not too good. The food is not very good. I'll get straight to the point... You ever eat a spoon full of rice, and in that rice is one of those Jaw Breaking hard kernels? Yea that was the Pork Fried Rice. I mean, Tooth Shattering bits of hard rice kernels hiding in what looks like some good rice. Tasted as expected, but on the very dry side - like it sat out for a long time before being served to me. The BBQ pork was not braised red like you'd expect. It was just cooked plain pork with light seasoning, served cold. The almond chicken... ugh... Sooooo blaaanndd... And it's so crazy how appetizing it looks. It's basically chicken katsu (lightly breaded chicken) with a caramel colored gravy on top, but... adds no flavor to the chicken at allllll. Super bumbed. The sweet and sour pork was 60% breading. The shrimp/prawns were 50% breading. Mediocre taste and texture. The sweet and sour sauce was ok. The pot stickers/gyoza tasted exactly like the kind I buy at the grocery store. Excessively processed meatball in the middle. At least they were cooked correctly. And finally the egg soup. Not bad. Probably my favorite part of dinner lol. The service was ok. Mix of one really sweet, attentive lady and the rest were zooming around, super busy, short with the attention. Yea, in summary, if you just want some edible, super basic Chinese food, this is the place. The price is a bit high for this low quality thou. Although a little out dated I think this place is awesome. Their honey walnut prawns are so worth the 1980 carpet. I could eat them every day and love it. Prices are comparable to any other Chinese restaurant in my opinion. Service was fast and friendly. I visited this place prob a couple of years ago. I would not go back. The people were nice enough but the interior was certainly dated and meh. As for the food, I've had better tasting Chinese at Panda Express. I love general Tsu's chicken and while this place did not have the worst (that honor is reserved for an unnamed restaurant in Seattle) it wasn't good. The chicken was over-cooked and the dish was overall poor. The rice wasn't good either. And the girls meals of Sweet and Sour chicken was not pleasing them either. I hate to say it but afterwards, we stopped at McDonalds for the girls so they would eat something. I hate to say it but if this is the best Chinese you've eaten... you need to expand your horizons far more. It was not good. read more
