Surprisingly, I think I've found good, affordable Chinese food that isn't a teriyaki restaurant! Is it earth-shattering? Not really, but it was good! So good that I've been there twice in one week. I love that you can get lunch combos for about $10 (3 items) and for me it is the perfect portion. You can also get 2 items for $8 but why get 2 when you can get 3 for a little more. The chicken chow mein was tasty but very veggie heavy and the pan fried noodles I ordered was not what I was expecting (but still ate it!). They were small noodles, almost like ramen noodles maybe? The dish was still flavorful. Can't go wrong with pork fried rice and I personally love the sweet and sour sauce. We also had a lunch common with Almond chicken and the almond chicken is super delicious. Will be going back soon! read more

For Christmas this year, I decided to do something like the theme of Christmas Story: Chinese food. I didn't feel like driving to Renton, Kent, or even Seattle. I figured Sumner is the best option for me as I don't want to eat Chinese food from the Bonney Lake location. Someone suggested to me about Dragon Ball. I decided to give it a try. I read the restaurant's Facebook post, and the staff have made it clear they wouldn't allow dine-in on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They allowed To-Go orders though. I tried calling telephone, but nobody answered. Luckily, I checked and saw that the restaurant allows pick-up order on Door Dash. I decided to order ahead and scheduled my pick-up time to be before 1 pm for Christmas Day since I ordered on Christmas Eve. Needless to say, the restaurant confirmed my order and got to work. They literally cranked it up & got done within 30 minutes. It was impressive. I had to mop my kitchen, so I planned to pick up my order after I was done with my house chore. I appreciated the restaurant staff calling me to check in with me ensuring I'd get my order on time. The restaurant isn't fancy looking. The interior has all the amenities that customers need: tables, chairs, restrooms, and food. Lol! You know they probably serve good food if the place looks like your hole in the wall type of place instead of super fancy restaurant in Sumner. I picked up my order and drove home. I ordered: Mongolian Beef, fried rice, sweet & sour pork, walnut shrimps, chowmein, and wonton noodle soup. Everything tasted super good. I really like the stir fried stuff for the fact they aren't oily at all. I felt healthy eating them. 10/10 would recommend to come back here for Chinese food cravings! read more

The staff is wonderful, and the ambience is fine (typical of your standard American Chinese restaurant) but the food is dynamite! The best, and I mean the BEST, General Tso's Chicken in the world is here. Double fried so it stays crispy even when slathered in sticky sweet and spicy sauce, it's so delicious that I freaking dream about it sometimes. The fried rice glistens with perfect pork and egg, and the appetizers are also just as delicious, if not as dream and drool worthy. (Special mention to the BBQ Pork-my partner and I ate that up immediately.) The noodle dishes are a bit hit or miss, but the fried food is where it's at. They also do a Shirley Temple like no one else. Come for the food, leave with enough leftovers for at least one more meal (and that crispness still stays after days, oh Heaven!) and support our favourite local hidden gem. We'll keep going back as long as we can, and keep recommending it too. read more

We just ordered takeout for 2 people. It cost $99.65 and boy were we disappointed. The soup and appetizers were decent. The entrees were awful. Shrimp w/lobster sauce, served from a soup container was mostly onions. So many onions, so few shrimp. Couldn't eat it and wound up throwing the rest away. Chow mein noodles were thin and flavorless. And, again with the onions! I get they are inexpensive but no one wants THAT MANY. We are requesting an adjustment to our bill, something we never do. Outstanding little Chinese restaurant in Sumner. Food was delicious and large portions with a very reasonable price. My wife had the Pork chow mein with fried shrimp and egg roll. I had the Mongolian beef with pork fried rice and egg roll. Our waitress said the cook was her 80 year old father. Well, if he keeps cooking like that he'll live many more years . When we first moved to Sumner, we were very hesitant to try this place because limit looked like a gigantic hole in the wall, which is typically good...then they began to reform it, and we decided to try it. Despite the parking situation continuing to be a giant mud bath, the inside is very simple and straightforward. Chairs, tabless, TV, great. Sometimes you'll get a peek of the owners and their family members (poor crying baby lol), but otherwise, it's nothing crazy to describe. It can get very cold during the winter, so just dress appropriately. Food wise, it's been consistently fresh and quality. It's not greasy or oily, it's always tasted good to us. They don't have the typical chow mein noodles, so definitely take a close look at their menu. I absolutely love their almond chicken and their flat noodles. Soups are great too. Best Chinese Food I've had in a long time! We got orders to go of Wonton soup, Almond Chicken and Beef and Broccoli. Portions are big! The way it was packaged with small air holes kept the food perfectly cooked so nothing was chewy or overcooked. The almond chicken comes with a crispy fried layer and sauce on the side. This is brilliant because it kept the fried chicken crispy. All the meat was perfectly cooked. The veggies were crisp and not soggy. Ordered some take out for my family and I to have for my birthday. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is newly remodeled and the staff is super friendly. However the food was not what I was expecting. Food was not very authentic. For the noodles, they used ground meat which I had never seen before. Mongolian beef had a variety of vegetables but not that strong of a flavor like I am use to. My daughter liked the teriyaki chicken. Fried shrimp and bbq pork were ok. read more

This is a great place to get Chinese food!!! My husband and I got the dinner special (A. Dragonball) We ordered to go, and when he got home it was still nice and hot! This was our 1st time ordering from this restaurant and it will also be the last. I grew up eating a lot of authentic and Americanized Chinese food and it has always been my favorite type of cuisine. I've eaten at countless restaurants around the country and the world. While I'm not sure this was the very worst I've ever had, it's definitely in the conversation. We wanted a nice variety of meats and vegetables, so we ordered the Happy Family (a personal favorite), the House sizzling, and Kung Pao vegetables. We couldn't tell which dish was which in any reasonable way. All 3 looked nearly identical as the exact same vegetables with an absolutely overwhelming amount of celery everywhere. There was almost zero meat in either of the meat dishes and the meat that was there tasted boiled and bland. The sauces were indistinguishable from one another as watered down and flavorless additions to the dishes. Everyone tried a couple bites before nobody could stand more and it was trashed. We also ordered egg foo yong, although I'm not sure that's what we got. Egg foo is an egg omelette with some meat and vegetables, but this was mealy and almost grainy. Having had this dish from 100+ restaurants lifetime, I've never tasted one that was anywhere close to this bad. Nobody could stomach an additional bite. The egg rolls, contrary to everything else, were pretty good. One shining spot in one of the worst dinners we've ever had! Maybe they make other dishes that are less terrible, but unfortunately we will never be finding out. read more

I ordered through door dash (again). So, here's some backstory. I have Covid. I'm stuck at home and I am really craving won ton soup. Also, it's my birthday and I'm all alone. So I order my soup it gets here really fast and I take one bite and almost cry. It was so mushy and overcooked. It literally made me sad. I also ordered the pea pods with chicken. It was fine just more celery than pea pods which felt a bit like bait and switched. I was really disappointed to the point of not eating my soup. We decided to try this restaurant for an early dinner. Won ton soup had a lightly flavored broth with lots of carrots, broccoli, shrimp and bbq meat along with full Lucious won tons. I also now ask for no celery, carrots are onion because I rather have less food than celery, carrots, and onion chow main with a dash of chicken lol. Been here several times, (normally good) very very disappointed with their food this time. Called to complain and the guy that answered the phone and asked what's wrong I told him and he said hold on, transferred me to the female. I told her the story all over again since the man didn't say anything. She just wanted you argue with me, about how everything is fresh.... you can tell by the pictures that is not fresh. The fried foods where horrible and what appeared to be old? Or leftovers? Couldn't even eat it. She offered $6.00 back, we spent $30-40 on the food....
