I visited this place prob a couple of years ago. I would not go back. The people were nice enough but the interior was certainly dated and meh. As for the food, I've had better tasting Chinese at Panda Express. I love general Tsu's chicken and while this place did not have the worst (that honor is reserved for an unnamed restaurant in Seattle) it wasn't good. The chicken was over-cooked and the dish was overall poor. The rice wasn't good either. And the girls meals of Sweet and Sour chicken was not pleasing them either. I hate to say it but afterwards, we stopped at McDonalds for the girls so they would eat something. The absolute worst Chinese food I've had in my entire life. Bland, oily and rancid. My entree came with a side salad and it was doused in mayonnaise! If you love old school American-Chinese food, this is the right place. We got there at 3.05pm on a Tuesday, it was raining, and the parking lot was empty except for two cars. There were no windows, and the door was a plain slab of wood with a dead bolt on it. I was kind of nervous. When we went inside, there was a large fish tank with a single large goldfish floating in it, a bar off to the right (full of people) and a large room with banquette seating off to the left. I didn't see a single person and thought they closed between lunch and dinner like some places, but just as we were getting ready to leave, a server came out of nowhere and whisked us off to a table. Turns out there was another couple there, sitting in an enclosed booth set into the wall. The entire restaurant was sparkling clean. You could tell it was old because there was wear on what had to be original equipment, but whatever could be scrubbed had been scrubbed. The menu came in a leatherette book, there were paper place mats with little zodiac signs on it and tiki lights over each table. There was also Ritchie Valens playing on the sound system. The only thing that could have made it more perfect was Elvis singing Blue Hawaii. We had roast pork (char siu) appetizer and the egg rolls, and I kid you not--the dipping sauce was ketchup, mustard and sesame seeds. The egg rolls were gigantic things, batter-dipped and piping hot. Everything came out in three minutes. I couldn't even eat the food until it sat another two minutes and then our entrees came out. Talk about memories. I haven't had Lemon Chicken like that since I was a kid. Batter dipped, piping hot, oozing with succulent pale yellow sauce and chunks of lemon. My companion had Mongolian Beef and it was stir fried to perfection. Just hot enough to soothe your belly and not hot enough to hurt. No chili peppers here, just savory goodness. The people across from us had fried rice, and yes it was compressed into a half sphere, something another yelper said, but that was the style way back then. This is a throwback to the seventies, in a really good way. The service was excellent, our waitress wasn't just fast, but also really nice and she put everything into a Chinese take-out container for us when we couldn't finish the enormous pile of food. I plan on making this place a regular stop. No wonder it looks so nondescript on the outside. It doesn't need to advertise. This place is a keeper. read more

I have no idea why this place got such bad reviews! Maybe we caught it on a good night but it was super clean and the staff was amazingly friendly. Brought my 2 year old crayons to color with and even her own plate to share my dinner. I had the chicken chow mein with pan noodles and it was not the best I've ever had... hence why it lost a start... but my boyfriend got the general tso's and WOW it was the best I ever tasted. Very light and crispy and the chicken was pure white meat... none of that gross grisly stuff. They have a full bar and beer and I had just a cheap coors light but it was cold and they brought me a glass. This is an American/Chinese restaurant and they make no claims about being authentic. You want real dim sum go to the international district... this is great food and for where its located it is stellar. read more

Had the number three on the dinner menu. Fried rice, sub gum chow mein egg foo yong substitute for pork sweet-and-sour yes deep-fried prawns. The sub gum chow mein had excellent vegetables in it. The wonton soup was the best I've had. There were plenty of vegetables . Restaurant had a great atmosphere. It was reasonably quiet and good background music. It was clean and the service was excellent. I would recommend this place because it had a very reasonable price for the quality of food that you got. read more

This is our 2nd time here in 3 weeks. We will NOT return! 1st time was ok, but tonight was awful! Almost an hour to get our food, then I ordered fried rice but she brought it out with white rice. She said I didn't order fired rice, wasn't going to argue so ate the steamed rice. I ordered chicken teriyaki, at other places the chicken is nicely drenched in teriyaki sauce. It was grilled, almost over done & no sauce! Hubby had General Tso's chicken, ordered 4 *, it was barely 1 *, and it was soggy from the grease. I was disappointed by this food. I suppose being next to a motel means it's bound to not be good quality food but it was utterly disgusting. The egg rolls were deep fried with so much batter it looked like long cream puffs. The beef and broccoli was cold and the beef was raw. The pot stickers were 100% store bought and defrosted because it fell apart with the slightest touch. The only good thing was the rice...and anyone can make rice! read more

Within the last hour I placed an order over the phone with the Four Seasons Restaurant here in Enumclaw. I ordered the Seafood Hot Plate. One of the items included in the dish was vegetables. I was disappointed in that be-cause the dish included chestnuts, ped pods, green and red peppers, none of which I care for. I should have asked what vegetables were included so I could have the vegetables I do not like not included in the dish. Apparently this is the only Chinese restaurants left in Enumclaw.....ironically. The exterior of the restaurant looks promising, as it has a large private parking lot with large Chinese writings on the sidewalls....must be good? The second I sat down and read the menu, I wanted to walk out...because it had items such as "Tom Turkey", "Chowder', and "burger". Okay okay, so the place has variety, maybe it's smart. I ordered one of the lunch combination items with sweet and sour pork, because I wanted to see how they make an all-time favorites. The wait staff asked me which soup I wanted - the Egg Drop Soup or the Clam Chowder. Wait - am I at Ivars?? Clam Chowder at a Chinese restaurant?? I bit my tongue and ordered Egg Drop. When the soup arrived, I stared at it for couple minutes because it looked much different from a traditional Egg Drop Soup. The word "soup" was probably not even suitable for it, because it was as thick as paste. When you tap the soup bowl, the content doesn't move at all.....scary! I put a spoon in it to make sure it was actually liquid, and took a "bite".....it's quite skillful for them to turn soup into "chowder"....impressed I was not. Next came the lunch, which was a round plate with a ball of fried rice shaped like...well, a ball. Right next to it is recognizable sweet and sour pork, then chow mein. The rice was sculpted and packed like a snow ball, which is not my ideal way of serving rice (supposed to be fluffy and fresh). The sweet and sour pork is about right, so I can eat that! The chow mein was a "poor man's version", because all it had was celery sticks and canned bamboo shoots. I could only find couple pieces of napa cabbage in there. The price - about right, $6~$7, but I'd rather go next door to the Kettle for a nice order of fresh breakfast scramble. Apparently, people in town like the food here at the Four Seasons. Some people who know better call it "poor reasons" or "for seizures" for a good reason! Don't come here to expect decent Chinese food. If you must....go to Safeway and their Chinese food is better...not kidding you. BTW, the place has a bar next to it.....with karaoke if you dare. read more

Their sister restaurant used to be in Puyallup but it has been gone a while now. We make the drive from Tacoma every now and then and get a meal for two to go and it never is disappointing. I would say this is your run of the mill Chinese place. The food is average (meaning it's good but not super fabulous) service is good and the prices are reasonable. I ordered take out here. The lunch came with rice, chow mein and the main dish. I've never had chow mein like that before - it was 95% bean sprouts and the rest was onion and little peices of chicken. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked it a lot but it was something different than what I was expecting. One area I was particularly impressed was the food temperature. I have fond memories of this place from growing up on the plateau. Every once and a while when I'm on a family visit we stop in for our favorite old-school dish, Almond Chicken. Over fried rice with some sweet and sour chicken - total comfort food. Also like the egg rolls (big and crunchy with fresh fillings) and the chow mein. Everyone that works here is so friendly and quick to make you laugh. Lots of happy, welcoming vibes whenever you stop by. I also just love the kitschy tiki lights that still hang around the dining room (from before this place was a Chinese restaurant, I'm assuming). No, this isn't fancy/traditional/healthy Asian fare. It's the greasy spoon-style Chinese that we had on New Year's Eve with my grandparents in Seattle. Almost everyone who loves Chinese food has that one place where they tried it for the first time and heard a heavenly choir sing. The Four Seasons is mine. I grew up in Enumclaw and ate here for the first time soon after it opened. My parents were not particularly adventurous eaters so this was a big deal. I loved every. last. thing. I tried. When I was in fourth grade, the teacher went around the room and had everyone state their favorite restaurants. There were a lot of votes for McDonalds and various Mexican places but I was all in on the Four Seasons. I asked to eat there pretty much every birthday of my childhood. I realize that they have changed owners over the years and the place is a lot more run down but I ate there recently and the food was still great. No one does the pork/vegetable chow mein quite like they do. There really is no bad dish on the menu and I've had them all. Aside from ditching Steak Kew which was a family favorite, most of the food is still much the same as it's been for 30+ years. It's generally pretty fresh and delicious. If I could eat here every week for the rest of my life, I would be pretty happy but unfortunately it's a long commute out to the 'Claw for me these days so I usually only get out there once a year or so. This place has become a family tradition for my oldest son and father-in--laws birthday dinner. Everytime we go, the staff is always nice and friendly. The food is excelent and they give you so much that there is ALWAYS a huge amount of left overs to take home. It's not like we don't eat very much. My son is 6'2" 14 year old bottomless pit. Some of the food may be a little too greasy but it is still delicious. And for the younger ones/anyone who don't like/want to eat chinese food, they also offer some american food options like cheeseburgers and fries. read more

I can't stand eating here. It is so rundown and has a funky smell. It is very outdated and the staff is mediocre on friendliness. The food is horrible however it is your typical generic nothing special Chinese food. It's overpriced and tastes like it came from a freezer and not made fresh. I honestly don't understand why it's so busy, maybe they found a magic dish I haven't tried. Definitely one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've been to. Hygiene is meh - had to wipe down the plates before we used them. Ordered the fried wontons - couldn't even tell what was inside them. The beef and prawns we ordered were definitely not fresh (the peppers and vegetables mixed with the Mandarin beef were the highlight of the entire meal). This is my first time ever writing a review for a restaurant but after getting some food from four seasons I had too... a little back story I was born in Enumclaw and always had a fascination for this place due to the cool it had from the outside I was always so excited to try this place and I finally did and wooooooooooooooooooow this is the worst chinese food I've ever had in my life there's so much breading and it doesn't even taste good the chow mein isn't regular chow mein it's got some weird clear noodles that are not good the red beef stuff your supposed to dip in the yellow and red sauce was more dry then in between a camels toes... omg everything is basically un edible the only thing that I liked was the rice! WTF the stuff from the safeway deli is way better then this place read more

I was looking for a good place for dinner in Enumclaw when I saw this place had an unfairly low rating. So I stopped and thought I'd take the time to write my experience. I'm not a chinese food fiend, but this is my family's go-to spot. My dad is the pickiest eater and even he loves it. Super flavorful food and always tons of leftovers with the family meals! I lived here my whole life and have never been to this place...I mean that I can remember. Came here last night for my nephews 7th birthday!! The food was good, like any regular chinese restraunt. The serverice was good and people were friendly!! We had a party of about 10 people and we had Chicken Chow mein, almond chicken, rice, sweet and sour chicken, prawns, and egg rolls. Everything was nice and hot when it was brought out to us, and I enjoyed a good meal with my family. At the end of the night they brought out a candle surrounded by 3 fortune cookies for my nephew...I thought that was really cute, my nephew loved it!!
