Avoid the Scrambles! The amount of potatoes in the entree was astounding. There was barely any egg or chicken. If you have had Spanish Patatas Bravas, then you'll know that dish is primarily potatoes, and that's the experience you would expect. However, this is an American breakfast joint that probably is not trying to make Patatas Bravas. When the food came, it was cold. When my wife confronted the lead waitress about it, she said, "wow, you must be pissed. We've never had a complaint before." To credit the staff, they grudgingly refunded the amount of our meal, and were testy about our complaints. They seemed to not care because they said "if you ever decide to come back again" which shouldn't ever be said to any customer. We make the choice to come, and we felt like the restaurant is trying to cut costs through using cheaper ingredients. In this case, a lot of poorly cooked and soggy potatoes. We were not impressed. Maybe the other items on the menu are much better? Scrambles had their own box on the menu, and seemed to be their signature dishes. A lot less potatoes would be a major improvement. Better yet, hearing feedback from customers and acting on it, even better. Most of the fixes are simple. Adjust the ingredients. Everything needs to be served much hotter! Update!! 14 years since my last written review of the Kettle. Since then: My mom has passed on and yes, it is her recipe that they use for the muffins. The original owners have sold out and it's changed hands a couple of times. However, everything I said in my last review is still true except of course prices have gone up, but they're not outrageous. Truly one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in the country/world and I've probably eaten at 2800+ restaurants for breakfast since my initial review here 14 years ago. I still get "my usual" Blueberry Muffin and what's now called the Meatlovers Scramble (add mushrooms). The current price is $22.49 (as of 2/1/25). A full order will easily feed 2 very hungry adults. read more

Husband ordered basic breakfast: 2 eggs came over cooked , sausage patty tasted like it was microwaved fake sausage and potatoes were cubed and very dry. tepid warm plate. The replacement for the sausage was 2 strips of thin bacon, like the cheapest you can get at the grocery. Miriam was the best part of the visit and very accommodating. I had the chili omelet which was good. The chocolate coconut muffin was delicious. Decided to check out this cozy breakfast spot in Enumclaw based on a friend's recommendation and I'm so so happy we did! From start to finish our meal and experience was the absolute best. Seating is self serve and since we were early we were lucky to beat the Sunday morning breakfast rush. Our waitress was sweet, friendly, attentive, and gave lots of great menu suggestions. She was the best! The food came out fast and portions were just out of this world. You'll have plenty of leftovers for the rest of the week based on how massive their food options are! My favorite item we tried was hands down the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Kettle Muffin. It's was a heavenly fall treat and the perfect accompaniment to a hot cup of coffee on this brisk Sunday morning. Such a great find for breakfast. This place is so cute and has a home feel to it. The food portions are large enough to share. Our waitress was wonderful and her suggestion of the cinnamon kettle muffin didn't disappoint, homemadeand delicious. The place isn't large so get there early. This was our first visit, and from start to finish it was a true 5-star experience. We came in on a late Saturday morning and were greeted right away. The atmosphere was cozy, warm, and very welcoming. Our server (I believe her name was Heidi) was friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of. The breakfast menu offered a nice selection. While the prices were a bit on the higher side for a classic eggs, bacon, and potatoes meal, everything was delicious, so we didn't mind paying a few extra dollars. Waiting to be seated is awkward because there are tables in that particular waiting area. You're basically standing next to a table where someone is eating. They are so busy and moving about that several plating mistakes were made around us. Service is a 'familiar friend' kind of service. Once we were seated we were checked on frequently and the coffee kept coming. The Meat Lovers Scramble is more like a ten pound plate of comfort food. I was shocked at how much food it was. I will probably get two more meals out of the leftovers. The flavor profile needs nothing added. The egg, cheese, potatoes and various meats add all the seasonings it needs, just dig in. The walls are covered with paintings and photos as well as a variety of wall hangings. This is very much a country breakfast restaurant at this time of day. Scrambled eggs, onions, bacon and hash browns all mixed together. It was delish. We had two sunny side eggs from our other meal that we added to the top of the scramble and it's how I'd actually order it again in the future. Try it this way. You're welcome. Strawberry French toast. This was delish....I can't have a lot of sugar but was a fantastic bite. I'd order this again. Bieber id order everything on the side because it was a little too sweet. I'd prefer to control it all but that's just me probably because I can't do sugar everything is to sweet to me. Lastly their homemade muffins. When arrived the waitress was running a few minutes late so the cook/ chef took my order and was very pleased with her. The normal waitress showed up and she was a little gruff and our personalities do not match at all, main reason dropped a star. Since my first visit in 2021, I have been bringing my fiance here a few times. The Kettle has now become his go to breakfast place. At this point, my fiance and I have a favorite dish here. He absolutely loves the French Toast Breakfast while i love the Eggs Benedict. French Toast isnt so sugary. It is subtly sweet in cinnamon and can be adjusted in sweetness by how much maple syrup is on the plate. I love my eggs benedict rich in sauce. Eggs Benedict has that sharp taste. I also love that the ham isnt dense, thinly sliced, nor salty. Only problem this time around is coffee isnt regularly served. I think you have to re-order coffee now versus having free refillable coffee. However, thats minimal in comparison to how great their food tastes. Overall, we will continue to visit. A staple in the community. The Bad- Potato wedges were dry and lifeless, def in the oven too long. Coffee was mid and over medium eggs were overcooked as well. The Ugly- $$$$. Pricey, yeah, you get a good portion but dang, 95% of the menu is $19.99. Add in tax and a drink and tip and you're at $30 for breakfast. Not worth the price. Yikes, I cannot recommend this place for anything other than the blueberry muffin. The food was so bland it's painful. I also must advise that if you order a menu item that has potatoes on the ingredients, expect that dish to be 80% potato. My wife and I stopped in and had an unpleasant experience and then our friend and her bf stopped in at a later time and similarly did not enjoy themselves. 1/5 stars and that's simply because the service was friendly, welcoming, and rather quick. read more
