Traditional Greek gyro with a side of Taziki and Greek vinaigrette.
    Cameron M.

Love love love these people at Athenas at The Claw. Garry and Maria and their daughter Carla do such an amazing job at serving our community through our tastebuds. Garry is an amazing man and is genuinely a fun guy to chat with. I highly recommend ordering a delicious traditional Greek gyro - ask for a side of Greek vinaigrette. In the meantime while you wait for your food, chat him up about the History of Athena's. He went from working at a hardware store to owning and operating this incredible food trailer--a true hometown success story fueled by passion, grit, and flavor. I think the The Courier-Herald could do an amazing story on them.

The couple running this food truck is absolutely so freaking adorable. You can tell they truly care about their customers and I was watching the wife prep everything and wash stuff as we were ordering! We waited about 10 min for food, quick turn around and the husband working the till is so sweet. Such a sweet soul and they have such a cute little doggy that sits in the back shed protecting them. She is so so adorable and just sits there being so adorable minding her own business. Overall highly highly recommend! The food is absolutely delicious!!

Yum, that hit the spot. Thank you Athena's for feeding these hungry hikers I had a Falafel Gyro and hubs went all carnivore and ordered a Traditional Lamb & Beef Gyro. We both really enjoyed our Gyros, though would have appreciated a few more veggies. We'll definitely be back to try the Gyro Fries & their Baklava after our next Rainier hike

This is exactly what we needed after a day hiking in Mount Rainier National Park! It's one of the first pieces of civilization you encounter on your way out from the park. It took about 40 minutes to get there after leaving the park. It's located next to a hotel in a large parking area, pretty hard to miss it. We got there around 3PM on a Friday and there were two other groups there. We ordered two gyros and garlic fries, totaling out to $38. The gyros were exactly what we needed to refuel ourselves. They were pretty heavy with the tzatziki but aside from that it was good! The garlic fries were a disappointment unfortunately. It was just way too much jarred garlic. But the fries themselves were so crispy! There are three tables for seating options which is convenient. And the people working there were so sweet! I'd definitely recommend it!

Friendly customer service, fair prices and one of the best gyros I've ever had! I took mine to go, but they had a cute little spot set up with a couple tables and chairs if you wanted to enjoy your food there. The portion size was just right and I loved that the gyro had Kalamata olives. Delicious! I'll definitely be back.

Reviewing again just to rave some more!! I have eaten a lot of French Fries in my lifetime but none as good as these. From the moment you get it in your car you're salivating from the aroma of those hot salty fries!! Get em home and they're still crispy with tender middles. Oh my goodness they are the best. Also love the Greek Salad, NY style Gyro and the Hercules Burger. Oh and why is the 3 piece chicken strip meal so huge (and equally delicious ). Service was as expected for a Friday night (20+ minutes but I knew it beforehand as I ordered online through 'streetfoodfinder' website). Thanks Athena's!!!

Delish falafel gyro! Not to mention, also huge. Their tzatziki sauce is drinkable. Tomatoes, kalmata olives, onions, lettuce and feta cheese also. Unassuming little food truck- but so worth the stop. I could only eat half! Truly gluttonous.

Great lunch!! I had the chicken Caesar wrap. Really a pita sandwich. Loaded with chicken and very tasty. Friends had the fish n chips and raved. Hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. Another had the Athena burger and loved it, along with Greek fries which were loaded and fantastic. Can't believe this great food came ftom a food truck! Highly recommended.

Unexpectedly ran into Athena's while truck shopping a couple weeks ago in Enumclaw. Didn't know we were in for a very pleasant experience and tasty lunch! We ordered on the online app and took a seat on the outdoor patio furniture as we enjoyed the weather and waited for our order. We ordered the Traditional Lamb and Beef and the New York Style Gyro, both were amazing! The Gyro's were so fresh and delicious. We had our go-to spots in Tacoma that we thought were really good, but Athena's just made them seem okay and raised our standard. Can't wait to stop by again on our way to the mountain! Please visit this spot, won't disappoint!

The meat is so tender and delicious.

Wonderful food and service! I heard it relocated over by QFC, behind Superior auto service. As of January 2026.

Proper Patty ($11) - This burger comes with two smash patties, both of which are heavily salted and somewhat crisped up - the pictures from other people make it seem like they cook long enough to get lacy caramelized edges, but it's not quite to that point. Instead, the burgers, while not moist and fatty, aren't dried out either, and give a great beefy flavor. The burger sauce adds some tangy sweetness, and some pickles on top adds even more sweetness, but a very fresh crunch. It's otherwise pretty standard with the lettuce and tomato. A solid smashburger. (4/5) Fries ($5) - These are fried enough to give a crust on the potatoes, but not enough for the fries to be come crisp. Still, they aren't floppy, so while not entirely crisp, these are still good for eating especially since the insides are nice and fluffy. They are salted a lot, which combined with the salty dip (we went with the Bud's Sauce), equals a parched mouth after eating. I think they actually use a lime salt or something as I can detect a bit of citrus flavor. The Bud's Sauce is a nice mayochup mixture with I think a bit of smokiness from paprika and some chopped onion. It's sweet, tangy, and salty. (4/5) Overall Burger Buds serves some nice classic smashburgers! It's great for a visit while in town for a quick and easy meal.

We went on a sunny day and with no shade I was glad I had sunscreen and sunglasses. We didn't have much of a wait, just long enough for me to dash over and snap photos of the sunflowers before our food came. They serve breakfast and lunch, and since they often sell out by 2PM, it's best to arrive early. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy, the Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy, loaded tots, and a blackberry milkshake. These are four-napkin sandwiches -- huge, messy, and finger-licking good. You'll want a bottled water in the car to rinse your hands after tackling one of these. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy came stacked with a giant fried chicken breast coated in their house hot sauce, layered with slaw and pickles on a brioche bun. The Candied Jalapeño Chicken Sammy had crisp chicken, melted cheese, sautéed onion, lettuce, and their sweet-heat jalapeño sauce. The loaded tots came piled with chopped chicken, bacon, cheese, green onion, and sauce. The blackberry milkshake, blended with real berries, tied everything together. For the size of the portions and the quality, the price felt right. Cast Iron Queen serves delicious comfort food in a setting that feels distinctly Enumclaw.

Pita Burrito, Carne Asada ($16.27) - Huge burrito incoming, probably over 2 lb. I would say similar to Mission-sized, but the interior ingredients are not quite up to standard. Still, very impressive for the region. There's a large tortilla, warm and pliable, absolutely filled with tons of stuff. Firstly, a very good portion of beef, not seasoned much other than salt, but giving a great beefy flavor. The beef chunks are crisped up on the flat top perfectly, giving plenty of texture. This does dry out the meat, so there's a tradeoff, but that's what the cheese, guac and sour cream are for. Enough moisture is included so that, while not nearly as messy to eat as a typical Mission burrito, it's enough for each bite. There's a well balanced portion of rice and beans as well. The construction is pretty good so the burrito can be eaten in the hand without issues. (5/5) Is this the best burrito in the world, as some people seem to think? No way, but I think it's very solid for being in Washington and is one of the best I've had since moving to the state. Note: Pita's charges a little extra for credit card usage. I'm not sure how much percentage (it was 27 cents for us), and I don't recall them having a sign up stating they charge for credit cards.

The shop itself was pretty tiny with only a few outside spots that were covered with grass, next to a gas station. I think they should update their brochures and pamphlets with the recent price changes because it seemed like all the prices went up. When we got the food, the food itself tasted pretty good. I especially liked the Carne Asada fries with the potatoes and the seasoning, with the two sauces, red and green that they give us for extra flavor. Service was attentive, they were all really sweet and nice. People came back-and-forth just to pick up the food, it seems like a local hotspot. If visiting Enumclaw again would probably visit again.
