Traditional Greek gyro with a side of Taziki and Greek vinaigrette.
    Cameron M.

Love love love these people at Athenas at The Claw. Garry and Maria and their daughter Carla do such an amazing job at serving our community through our tastebuds. Garry is an amazing man and is genuinely a fun guy to chat with. I highly recommend ordering a delicious traditional Greek gyro - ask for a side of Greek vinaigrette. In the meantime while you wait for your food, chat him up about the History of Athena's. He went from working at a hardware store to owning and operating this incredible food trailer--a true hometown success story fueled by passion, grit, and flavor. I think the The Courier-Herald could do an amazing story on them.

The couple running this food truck is absolutely so freaking adorable. You can tell they truly care about their customers and I was watching the wife prep everything and wash stuff as we were ordering! We waited about 10 min for food, quick turn around and the husband working the till is so sweet. Such a sweet soul and they have such a cute little doggy that sits in the back shed protecting them. She is so so adorable and just sits there being so adorable minding her own business. Overall highly highly recommend! The food is absolutely delicious!!

Yum, that hit the spot. Thank you Athena's for feeding these hungry hikers I had a Falafel Gyro and hubs went all carnivore and ordered a Traditional Lamb & Beef Gyro. We both really enjoyed our Gyros, though would have appreciated a few more veggies. We'll definitely be back to try the Gyro Fries & their Baklava after our next Rainier hike

This is exactly what we needed after a day hiking in Mount Rainier National Park! It's one of the first pieces of civilization you encounter on your way out from the park. It took about 40 minutes to get there after leaving the park. It's located next to a hotel in a large parking area, pretty hard to miss it. We got there around 3PM on a Friday and there were two other groups there. We ordered two gyros and garlic fries, totaling out to $38. The gyros were exactly what we needed to refuel ourselves. They were pretty heavy with the tzatziki but aside from that it was good! The garlic fries were a disappointment unfortunately. It was just way too much jarred garlic. But the fries themselves were so crispy! There are three tables for seating options which is convenient. And the people working there were so sweet! I'd definitely recommend it!

Friendly customer service, fair prices and one of the best gyros I've ever had! I took mine to go, but they had a cute little spot set up with a couple tables and chairs if you wanted to enjoy your food there. The portion size was just right and I loved that the gyro had Kalamata olives. Delicious! I'll definitely be back.

Reviewing again just to rave some more!! I have eaten a lot of French Fries in my lifetime but none as good as these. From the moment you get it in your car you're salivating from the aroma of those hot salty fries!! Get em home and they're still crispy with tender middles. Oh my goodness they are the best. Also love the Greek Salad, NY style Gyro and the Hercules Burger. Oh and why is the 3 piece chicken strip meal so huge (and equally delicious ). Service was as expected for a Friday night (20+ minutes but I knew it beforehand as I ordered online through 'streetfoodfinder' website). Thanks Athena's!!!

Delish falafel gyro! Not to mention, also huge. Their tzatziki sauce is drinkable. Tomatoes, kalmata olives, onions, lettuce and feta cheese also. Unassuming little food truck- but so worth the stop. I could only eat half! Truly gluttonous.

Great lunch!! I had the chicken Caesar wrap. Really a pita sandwich. Loaded with chicken and very tasty. Friends had the fish n chips and raved. Hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. Another had the Athena burger and loved it, along with Greek fries which were loaded and fantastic. Can't believe this great food came ftom a food truck! Highly recommended.

Unexpectedly ran into Athena's while truck shopping a couple weeks ago in Enumclaw. Didn't know we were in for a very pleasant experience and tasty lunch! We ordered on the online app and took a seat on the outdoor patio furniture as we enjoyed the weather and waited for our order. We ordered the Traditional Lamb and Beef and the New York Style Gyro, both were amazing! The Gyro's were so fresh and delicious. We had our go-to spots in Tacoma that we thought were really good, but Athena's just made them seem okay and raised our standard. Can't wait to stop by again on our way to the mountain! Please visit this spot, won't disappoint!

The meat is so tender and delicious.

Proper Patty ($11) - This burger comes with two smash patties, both of which are heavily salted and somewhat crisped up - the pictures from other people make it seem like they cook long enough to get lacy caramelized edges, but it's not quite to that point. Instead, the burgers, while not moist and fatty, aren't dried out either, and give a great beefy flavor. The burger sauce adds some tangy sweetness, and some pickles on top adds even more sweetness, but a very fresh crunch. It's otherwise pretty standard with the lettuce and tomato. A solid smashburger. (4/5) Fries ($5) - These are fried enough to give a crust on the potatoes, but not enough for the fries to be come crisp. Still, they aren't floppy, so while not entirely crisp, these are still good for eating especially since the insides are nice and fluffy. They are salted a lot, which combined with the salty dip (we went with the Bud's Sauce), equals a parched mouth after eating. I think they actually use a lime salt or something as I can detect a bit of citrus flavor. The Bud's Sauce is a nice mayochup mixture with I think a bit of smokiness from paprika and some chopped onion. It's sweet, tangy, and salty. (4/5) Overall Burger Buds serves some nice classic smashburgers! It's great for a visit while in town for a quick and easy meal.

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. Every server we interacted with was smiling and genuinely friendly. It really added to the atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys working there, and that kind of energy is infectious. Now, the food: the burger was exactly what I crave when I think of a good, old-fashioned burger. Nothing over-complicated, just juicy, well-seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. It was cooked just right, with that perfect balance of savory and juicy. Simple, but executed beautifully. On the side? Two absolutely gigantic onion rings that were golden, crispy, and sweet. The batter had a light crunch without being greasy, and the onions inside were tender and flavorful. Basically onion ring perfection. The mozzarella sticks were another standout. Hot, gooey, and with a satisfying cheese pull that was honestly Instagram-worthy. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Exactly how they should be. I wouldn't recommend the cocktails. They were trying too hard with a fancy mixology vibe that didn't quite land. But the beer? Cold, refreshing, and just right with the food and the atmosphere. Why go? If you're looking for a relaxed spot to hang out, enjoy a game, and eat some really solid comfort food, this place delivers. It's the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

While the salmon BLT and grilled turkey sandwiches were fine, the bowl was not. The nuac Cham sauce had no fish sauce or taste and the peanut sauce did not taste like peanut sauce and was super thick. It was a bit weird with pickles at the bottom. Normally, the dish has jalapeño and the cucumbers are cut in strips v. Slices. The noodles seemed overcooked. The Portions are decent. We give the sandwiches 4 stars but the bowl is a 3 for taste. Everything else is good- service, average noise. Street parking but fairly easy to find a spot close by.

The poutine is what we started with, the fries were piping hot, the gravy was rich and delicious, and did I mention there was bacon jam in there? Since we had the poutine as an appetizer, we opted to get salads instead of the side fries for our burgers and sandwiches. I have to admit this is one of the most impressive side salads I've ever had. The greens were so fresh! On special they had their homemade clam chowder which checked all the boxes, it had a great balance of meat to potato to herb. I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life. If you see it on special you need to get it. My group ordered the mushroom burger, the the bacon jamburger, and the French dip which we split three ways. And when I tell you we fought over keeping our own. I am not lying. The burgers were juicy, the toppings were generous and well balanced. The French dip had roast beef that just melted in your mouth. For the first time. I don't think I needed the au jus. One of my party ordered the truffle gnocchi with wild mushrooms. I don't know how, but it was somehow light, not too rich, and the gnocchi soft pillows had the perfect fluffy texture. We did have to take most of our food home because the portions were generous. And somehow the gnocchi reheated. Well. I'm going to call that a miracle. All in all, if you're anywhere near Enumclaw you need to go here. We made the trip from Puyallup because my dad could not stop raving about the poutine. Next time I'm in town. I will be back!

During our visit it was 'seat yourself' and a waitress came right over with menus and took our drink order. As it was early, we ordered coffee and water. Coffee is good and hot. Cream on table with salt, pepper, hot sauce and ketchup. Our beverages were brought over by another staff member, Paula, who told us our waitress would be right with us. Except she wasn't. After ten minutes I was worried. After 20 minutes I was getting concerned. Our waitress showed up shortly there after and we placed our order. Paula came around a few times refilling coffees, clearing tables and bringing checks. I wandered into their bakery area while waiting for our food, took photos, read the info there and then out to the historic bar area to check it out. You can order cakes and cheese cakes from their bakery as well as take a slice to-go, or enjoy a slice in house. Our waitress saw me there on her way into the kitchen and asked if I needed something. "No, just looking". OK then. We think our waitress was working both the kitchen and the dining room which is why she was often out of sight. So two staff in FOH with one of them helping BOH. That's a lot. She brought our food when ready plus a selectiin of jams for our english muffin. We asked for silverware which she promotly brought. The marionberry jam, a hybrid blackberry from Oregon, is excellent. The food is quite good. Corned beef hash is without a doubt made fresh. Big pieces of shredded beef with potatoes and lots of fresh spices. This hash has a zing to it. We both ordered the small portion of their corned beef so it came with one egg (instead of two) and we chose english muffin (instead of toast) and got half each (vs. a whole each). With a side of their potatoes, which were also good and plentiful, we had enough left overs for breakfast the next day. Which we also enjoyed. All told, we were in and out in one hour. Food was very good. We always had coffee. We thought our waitress was unfriendly, but she's just super busy. So five stars for holding down the dining rooms with two staff members and serving tasty, well prepared food. Paula processed our card payment. Forgot to check out the restrooms. I think they are in the last dining area (where a big business meeting of some company was going on at the time) behind the bar room.

Pita Burrito, Carne Asada ($16.27) - Huge burrito incoming, probably over 2 lb. I would say similar to Mission-sized, but the interior ingredients are not quite up to standard. Still, very impressive for the region. There's a large tortilla, warm and pliable, absolutely filled with tons of stuff. Firstly, a very good portion of beef, not seasoned much other than salt, but giving a great beefy flavor. The beef chunks are crisped up on the flat top perfectly, giving plenty of texture. This does dry out the meat, so there's a tradeoff, but that's what the cheese, guac and sour cream are for. Enough moisture is included so that, while not nearly as messy to eat as a typical Mission burrito, it's enough for each bite. There's a well balanced portion of rice and beans as well. The construction is pretty good so the burrito can be eaten in the hand without issues. (5/5) Is this the best burrito in the world, as some people seem to think? No way, but I think it's very solid for being in Washington and is one of the best I've had since moving to the state. Note: Pita's charges a little extra for credit card usage. I'm not sure how much percentage (it was 27 cents for us), and I don't recall them having a sign up stating they charge for credit cards.

I especially liked the Carne Asada fries with the potatoes and the seasoning, with the two sauces, red and green that they give us for extra flavor.
