We dropped in for a lunch on a Friday afternoon and we're pleasantly surprised that they offered $7.95 meals for lunch between like 11 and 3 PM. They had about five different choices my friend got the 5 ounce steak with a salad and fries, and I got the half turkey gobbler hot sandwich with fries. When the entrees showed up they appeared a little smaller than I anticipated, but it ended up being just the right amount of food for each of us. I would say they are about the size of a kids meal. They were cooked well hot and fresh. We both do not drink alcohol so we just each got a Diet Coke. The staff were very friendly and we had fun playing a little bit of pull tabs. Overall, it was just a really great casual lunch in the Buckley area with yummy food and a good ambience. The decor inside is fun and they had many flyers for band nights. I love this place!! They offer outdoor live music during the summer. It definitely made me start going to this place. It was the fantastic food and the great service there that keeps me going back there. It's a half hour drive away from my house but it is worth the drive. Cheers like bar, where everyone knows each other. Great atmosphere. Service could be better. Had to go to the bar to get a beer and menus. Took forever to get our order taken and food was pretty cold when it arrived at the table. The onions rings, although cool, were crispy and real. The beach burger had a soft bun and flavorful burger but again it was cool when it arrived. The grilled cheese steak was barely grilled, tater tots were cool. Salad was good. We love this place because it's local and friendly but we go in knowing the food isn't great because the service is so slow. read more

This place serves the best bloody Mary's, and the breakfasts are top notch. This has become our new breakfast spot on weekends, and they serve it all day!! Great for partiers and late sleepers. My first trip to the firehouse Pub last night was amazing. Great service, both bartenders were so awesome, they were quick to serve and very polite. And the music was fantastic, this guy was all that and then some, great voice and a comedian to boot. Couldn't have had a better time anywhere else. Some of the other reviews are kind of wild but we've only done door dash we got the triple decker club sandwich which was huge & pretty filling couldn't even eat it all & potato skins I will never eat potato skins without salsa ever since eating theirs(I haven't ate any since they're pretty tasty) even with door dash our fries were still warm & food was great. Awful, awful customer service!!! We never got asked one time if we needed anything , including water. If you wanted something we had to chase them down or go get it ourselves . And when you did talk to the staff about needing something they were very put out . Both the blonde girl and the guy behind the bar were very dismissive , rude, and pretty much acted like you didn't even exist . I regretted very much coming in here and spending our hard-earned money here. We had their prime rib even though it was okay, mine was overcooked and it was a very very thin slice of prime rib I've never had a prime rib be so thin. In a world where I thought us going out of our way to go to this place to give them our business I wish we would have went somewhere else. They did not need our business. They did not want our business and I am actually very surprised that they had as many customers there as they did. It is a place that I will never go to again. Don't miss this place. On the way back from Mt Rainer after most restaurants are full or limited on the mountain we decided to stop in Buckley WA and found this gem. First off, the appetizers are beyond-we had the onion rings, potato skins, jalapeño poppers and mini pretzel dogs-all amazing. One of us had the bacon cheese burger and tots with cheese (custom order), which was incredible I was told. The restaurant is really special, comfortable and the owner is an incredible hostess and very kind. Do yourself a favor and stop by-great beer selection and easy street parking as well. read more

The food is phenomenal. While the potato skins can be somewhat bland, the hog wings are the absolute greatest. The barbecue sauce is phenomenal, and they are piping hot. Best meat you will get on main street! Also: free pool when there's no tournament, and a beautiful patio out back for summer evening sit downs. Every time service is terrible, wait staff are extremely rude. 2 out of 4 times the waiter tells us they aren't serving food at 1pm. Food is usually cold and orders wrong. Terrible service! Will never return! Came in today. Place was busy, but not packed. Bartenders didn't care who was coming up for drinks first. Serving and chatting with friends while ignoring my party patiently waiting - they didn't even make eye contact. We came in to buy shirts. I was standing with two 20's in my hands and when she finally came over, we asked for shirts and were told that they were trying to catch up on drink orders and to come back later. Fat chance! This is an awesome dive bar. Staff is friendly, owner is awesome and the food can be eclectic and modified from the menu. I like the John Albert sandwich which is a modified grilled beef , tomatoes and cheese. I order it with au jus. Locals call it a lazy farmer with a manure pond! We stopped by for lunch on Saturday. Walked in and saw that dogs were welcome. That was a nice sight. Received service and drinks but the ladies next to us became obnoxiously loud and cussing up a storm. We couldn't even hear each other and have a conversation. These ladies were obviously locals and were known. The server or bartender never asked them to quiet down or move to the patio. Our lunch was ruined and not enjoyable. This was not a Friday evening. We have been regular customers of the Firehouse Pub for the past 3 or 4 years. The food is always excellent, and the staff and owner, Marnie Hayes, have always been welcoming and friendly. We love the specials and the prices are more than reasonable. Well, tonight, for Valentines Day, we went over to try out the special - a 12 oz sirloin, a 5 oz lobster tail, potato gratin stacks with a Caeser or house salad - we had the Caeser and it was superb. The steaks were perfect, served with a delicious Gorgonzola cream sauce and balsamic reduction that was absolutely incredible. The potato gratin stacks were delicious and the lobster perfect, and probably larger than 5 oz. The meal was topped with either strawberry or chocolate desert shots that were tiny, but perfectly delicious. We were only 2 of the small but early crowd almost all enjoying a $25 special that would have cost $75-100 anywhere else - but the entire meal, to the last bite, was excellent, one of the best surf and turf I have ever had. This special won't be available again until next year, but we heard they will be preparing corn beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day, and we're not going to miss it. The Firehouse Pub considers itself a neighborhood pub, but I think it is worth stopping if you're passing thru on SR 410, or the return trip from Crystal Mt. . The food every day is excellent. Try the nachos - a 1/2 order will feed 4, or the early bird 6-oz steak dinner for $6.95 is not only always great but a great bargain. This little pub in this working man's town is a hidden gem in the east end of Pierce County. Strongly recommended. read more
