We went inside to order, and the bartender was super helpful in helping me choose a drink. They had two hard ciders available and he actually recommended I try a blend of the two to get the huckleberry flavor with less sweetness. I absolutely loved it! We also ordered Chips & Guacamole, which were solid. The highlight of our visit was when a deer wandered into the patio area. Right off the bat when you walk in theres a breeze flowing through the place and it feels alive. Plenty of natural light through the windows. You stand in line and order upon entry, and you pick up the food yourself with a buzzer, so there's no service to mention. I ordered the steak quesadillas. This BYOF is a great area for those wanting to explore Mt. Rainier. The exterior of the brewery is just the same as the interior. I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. The location and decor of this place is great. It definitely takes inspiration from the very mountain community it's a part of. The people working here are very nice and our food came out in a decent amount of time. My only complaint was the food itself. Maybe just come here for the beer/cider. I had a great time staying here in Packwood. I didn't know anything about this place before coming here. So my way of getting to know a new town is to find the local brewery. Packwood Brewing not only makes a great beer, they have good food, live music and a nice outdoor patio area. I was staying at a hotel within walking distance and came over here to grab a bite one evening. The crowd outside was chill and there was a live band playing some music. I ordered a Mountain Goat Coffee Porter and some food while listening to some tunes. Packwood Brewing Co. has some great options on their food menu. The tacos sounded really good, so I ordered some. I ended up ordering different protein choices for each of my tacos. Most of the food here is rice bowls and Mexican food. Packwood Brewing has both an indoor and outdoor bar for ordering beers. There are a number of picnic tables outside to sit on which brings a community feel to this place. If you like ice cream, Packwood Brewing has an Airstream that sells ice cream in the beer garden. I ordered a Salted Caramel Swirl to cap off my night here. read more

Overall very cute place. I love all the furniture and how it is set up. Very spacious and spread out. We opted for the back corner section since we had a baby and my little brother. We ordered 2 steak tacos, chorizo nachos, a pint of beer, a flight, apple juice and a quesadilla, overall $66 + tip. You have to order yourself however and pick up your food and bust your own table afterwards. I don't know if it was because I was starving, but I felt like the tacos were pretty basic, it was only meat, some crema sauce and red onions..., I was hoping for a little more than that. The nachos however, are very much worth the money in my opinion. Big portions for the nachos! This place is crazy popular even at off times. Parking is around on the dirt near the highway (not hard). Cute wooden porch and nice ambience inside as well. The kitchen seems to be a small corner ran by a very efficient bada$$. You order at the bar, which is more of the focal point, and then pick up your food on the high counter around the kitchen. Only drawback to this spot is the ratio of bathrooms (2) to customers (many) so expect a wait there. Food was delicious, Latinx inspired, and a welcome delight after a long drive on the highway from Seattle. Highly recommend this crossroads brewery. read more

When we stayed in Packwood for a few days to go hiking at Mt Rainier we found ourselves here pretty much every day! It has both indoor and outdoor seating so great for any type of weather. Most days we were there, there was live music which was great! There was a good selection of beers including some rotating options and rotating ciders, and wines too! There wasn't tons of variety with the food but everything I got was decent and prepared pretty quickly. I liked the pretzel with the cheese. A few days they had some additional options with a pop up hot dog station. The servers were nice but sometimes there was quite a long line. They had a nice selection of merch! read more
