Nice old rustic vibe on the inside and a cute patio area on the outside. Food was pretty good, they have a couple vegetarian options which I appreciated. I had a great time staying here in Packwood. I didn't know anything about this place before coming here. So my way of getting to know a new town is to find the local brewery. Packwood Brewing not only makes a great beer, they have good food, live music and a nice outdoor patio area. I was staying at a hotel within walking distance and came over here to grab a bite one evening. The crowd outside was chill and there was a live band playing some music. I ordered a Mountain Goat Coffee Porter and some food while listening to some tunes. Packwood Brewing Co. has some great options on their food menu. The tacos sounded really good, so I ordered some. I ended up ordering different protein choices for each of my tacos. Most of the food here is rice bowls and Mexican food. Packwood Brewing has both an indoor and outdoor bar for ordering beers. There are a number of picnic tables outside to sit on which brings a community feel to this place. If you like ice cream, Packwood Brewing has an Airstream that sells ice cream in the beer garden. I ordered a Salted Caramel Swirl to cap off my night here. read more

After a hike in Mount Rainier, Packwood Brewing Co. was exactly what we needed. My husband and I grabbed a table on the patio, ordered a couple of beers, and immediately felt like we'd made the right call. I can't remember which beers we picked, but we both really liked them, which feels like the best kind of endorsement. The outdoor space is great. Chill, peaceful, and the kind of spot where time slows down just enough to make you forget how tired your legs are. We ordered food from the kitchen, and it was fine. Nothing bad, just not as memorable as the beer or the setting. Overall, it's a perfect place to unwind after a hike, sip something local, and take in the small-town vibe. All things considered...pretty good place for simple fare and good beer. It is expensive for what you get, but it's one of only a few places in town. Love this place! Have been here a handful of times now. The place is really nice inside, plus the patio when it's nice out! With a bar outside too I have seen open in the summer times. Food was great both times I've ate there. This last time we got tacos and quesadilla which were great portions. Overall very cute place. I love all the furniture and how it is set up. Very spacious and spread out. We opted for the back corner section since we had a baby and my little brother. We ordered 2 steak tacos, chorizo nachos, a pint of beer, a flight, apple juice and a quesadilla, overall $66 + tip. You have to order yourself however and pick up your food and bust your own table afterwards. I don't know if it was because I was starving, but I felt like the tacos were pretty basic, it was only meat, some crema sauce and red onions..., I was hoping for a little more than that. The nachos however, are very much worth the money in my opinion. Big portions for the nachos! Spacious interior with a great mix of seating. Bartender very welcoming & friendly smile, introduced himself and shared a quick rundown of their taps. Butter Peak Porter was a smooth start on this cold day, slightly smokey with a nice bite. Sociable locals struck up a conversation and soon needed the Hammerhead Hefe, crispy & lite. This place is crazy popular even at off times. Parking is around on the dirt near the highway (not hard). Cute wooden porch and nice ambience inside as well. The kitchen seems to be a small corner ran by a very efficient bada$$. You order at the bar, which is more of the focal point, and then pick up your food on the high counter around the kitchen. Only drawback to this spot is the ratio of bathrooms (2) to customers (many) so expect a wait there. Food was delicious, Latinx inspired, and a welcome delight after a long drive on the highway from Seattle. Highly recommend this crossroads brewery. read more

When we stayed in Packwood for a few days to go hiking at Mt Rainier we found ourselves here pretty much every day! It has both indoor and outdoor seating so great for any type of weather. Most days we were there, there was live music which was great! There was a good selection of beers including some rotating options and rotating ciders, and wines too! There wasn't tons of variety with the food but everything I got was decent and prepared pretty quickly. I liked the pretzel with the cheese. A few days they had some additional options with a pop up hot dog station. The servers were nice but sometimes there was quite a long line. They had a nice selection of merch! read more

Scenic. Unrefined. Earthy, After hiking in Mt Rainier National Park, a beer was overdue. Came here before we went to our campsite and enjoyed the beer. Their selection isn't that large, those who like the more rich and bitter beers - this spot caters to your palette. I'm a sour gal and there wasn't many options besides the ciders which weren't anything to rave about. We got the coffee porter and that was enjoyable. Great place to stop. Beer was great. Food was also very good. We were camping there that night on a motorcycle trip. It was very hot and we hung out most of the afternoon at the Brewery. Best place in Packwood to hang out with your friends. Folks working there were very nice even with a very steady amount of customers. Location was good as it was pretty much the only decent thing in town. Beers were pretty good. Nothing to write home about but decent. Chorizo Nachos were great and the star of the meal. Tacos were subpar and lacked flavor. We got the steak, chicken, and carnitas tacos. All were very boring and tasted like reheated meat with little additions. Chicken quesadilla was edible. Much better than the tacos. Moral is, come here for beer and ice cream. Get dinner elsewhere. read more
