We stop here for breakfast basic on all good reviews. It was the best breakfast we've had at a restaurant. We both ordered coffee which was ordinary drip coffee. We ordered one order of Huevos Rancherous with over easy eggs and side of bacon. Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The homemade green chili and sauces were tasty and mild. Another order of 2 over easy eggs and bacon, with guacamole on the side. Our server was Lorena. I think she's the owner. She was friendly and personable. We had a nice conversation about Mexico, Massachusetts and Washington. They have a good location, an outdoor space that we did not get to take advantage of in June. I got here early in the morning, so there were only two tables being served. It is not often to find a brunch spot located within a residential area. The exterior has a fence that is held by skis. It is very open inside with plenty of seating. They even have counter seats as well. Here is what I tried: -Huevos Rancheros w/house made potatoes: eggs well done covered in red sauce, with side of rice and beans cooked perfectly. The serving size was huge, like what you would get for dinner. Flavor was incredible and everything on the plate goes wells together. The potatoes were cooked from scratch and seasoned sautéed with chopped bell peppers. -Tall Pancakes: Never have I seen pancakes this big and fluffy. -Spicy Burritos: the sweeter was nice enough to replace the meat with vegetables. The scrambled and potatoes were also well seasoned and flavorful. This is a good place to go to if you are staying nearby. I think we had bad luck when we came here. It didn't seem too busy but they told us food would be a 45 minute wait when we arrived. It had such good reviews we decided to wait. They seated us with water and didn't come back to check on us for literally 45 minutes. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our food while 2 tables that were seated after us got their food before us. The breakfast burrito was just OK. Thought it puzzling it came with chips. Their homemade hot sauce was not spicy at all. The energy bowl was actually very tasty with lots of fresh fruit and really good vanilla yogurt. Once they did take our order, they were very friendly and attentive so assuming they were just understaffed that day. read more

The restaurant is obviously a favorite with locals and visitors alike. It's not a huge so you may have to wait for a table but the food is worth the wait. I had bacon, eggs, hash browns and a side order of toast. The bacon is thick and cooked well done without burning. The eggs were over easy as requested. The highlight of the meal was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Yummy. In addition the owners were willing to talk about the restaurant and the town of Packwood when there was a lull in business. This is my favorite food spot in Packwood. I wish they were open for dinner. I've tried almost everything on the menu and can say it is all delicious and very affordable. Unique flavors, fresh, high quality ingredients, and a diverse menu with something for everyone. Their house-made special orange sauce is to die for. It's a really fun space to dine in, with a well decorated colorful interior, cozy fireplace, comfortable seating, and views of the beautiful forest it's nestled in along with great natural light. The food was good. Ingredients appeared to be fresh and of good quality. The cook did a nice job with preparation and presentation. Service was poor. We had to make requests for everything. Coffee was served just a minute before the food and only because we reminded the server. No coffee refills were offered. Strangely, my companion was offered a complimentary "to go" beverage as we paid the bill but I was not offered even a refill. Flies are a constant bother while you are eating. There were so many flies. The ambience is nice but for all of the flies buzzing around your face and food. read more

This restaurant was very close to our lodging place and the ratings were off the charts, so we decided to eat here for breakfast to see/try what the hype is about. We came in around 9:30 and got seated about 5mins after we came in. We ordered Breakfast Burrito, Veggie Omelette, Vampire juice, Green Juice and coffee. Coffee seemed watered down, the freshly squeezed juices were good. Veggie Omelette was just ok. The breakfast burrito that we ordered never came but instead, the server gave us ham with eggs. Wrong order, no apologies given, and we were told that we have to wait again for the breakfast burrito to be made to have it. This, after 45mins wait for the food. When we asked for coffee refill, the server picked up our cups with all her 5 fingers touching the lip of the cup then refilled it. Eeewww! Hidden gem alert!! This place is SO good. The food is so fresh and made to order. We had the avocado toast, and the power bowl and both were 10/10. Also, the bacon is the best bacon I've eaten in a long time. The chef knows how to cook! Super cute interior, tons of seating, very laid back.
