    Chicken Quesadilla
    Brenda P.

The service was spotty, but there was only server so I didn't want to place any blame. I ended up not eating because they were unable to assure me they could meet my allergy specifications. My order came out with an onion on one of the tacos and I'm severely allergic to. I ended up canceling to be safe. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals, and said that they were cooked well. Probably won't be back due to my allergies, but if you don't have any restrictions I don't foresee a problem.

    Asada fajita

Located right next to the goat coffee breakfast place. Look for the giant bicycle and TMC Vacation Rentals. Plenty of parking right up front. We had a party of six for an early dinner on a weekday. There seems to be a good flow of traffic here. We were greeted right when we entered and waited just a bit for our table to be ready. We were seated in the back section and we felt a little neglected since our server had to take care of quite a large zone but the tortilla and the salsa was so good we weren't too irked by it. He did apologize for the wait when he finally came by to take our order. Ok, what we ordered: Fajita with beef and added shrimp and choice of flour or corn tortilla. Substantial amount of food to share with two people and have left overs the next morning. The flour tortilla was some homemade goodness. Their secret bottle of hot since also packed in some heat for the spicy lovers. Make sure to shake the bottle a bit to get the full flavor of the space. Cuervo Gold Fajitas- Shrimp/Prawn lovers choice. With all the traditional grilled onion and green/red bell pepper and added vegetables such as mushroom, broccoli, cauliflower and garlic. Such a medley of vegetables to give you that extra co2 for your next hiking venture in these abundant surrounding trails. Both fajita dishes came with rice, beans, pico and guacamole to complete the whole meal. A whole meal was more on the well done side but let's just say it's the elevation for the high cooking point. Fajita Taco Salad- Really, a lazy, open face way to eat the two dishes above. They packed the bean on the bottom layer of a flour tortilla shell then a layer of rice, salad then beef or chicken strips on top. Burrito Asada- This burrito does not disappoint for the really hungry bears. It's packed with rice and beans, burrito sauce, guacamole, pico de gallo and cheese. After that hike, you deserve it. Feeling street side taco? Their taco de lengua did not disappoint if you're looking for just a simple taco with out all the frufru. This restaurant is a gem for those looking for a hearty meal to switch up the sandwich , trail mix, burger life.

    So-so Nachos with Chorizo

Food ordered: Taco Salad Bowl ( small portion, so-so taste) Nachos with Chorizo (taste was just ok) Margarita 20oz (but as one can see in the photos attached, is not even 12oz size and has too much ice. They also used an unknown tequila in it instead of the Hornitos written on their Menu (Hubby asked the bartender what Tequila was used since we can taste the watered down difference). Menu is greasy and looked & felt unclean and not wiped between customers. There's an extra $2.02 charge for using a credit card that wasn't disclosed. Service: Crappy. Nobody asked us how was the food and when we questioned the server about the size of the 20oz Maragarita, we didn't get a proper explanation about the disproportionate size. Not disclosing about the cheaper Tequila mixed in the Margarita and the extra Credit Card use fee is not forthcoming. Atmosphere: door from the outside is fully open, we don't know why. Place doesn't feel clean especially with the greasy Menu

One of the few restaurants in the Packwood area that we tried during our visit to Mt Rainier. The place is quite spacious and food was good. It doesn't knock your socks off but it's comforting after a day of hiking. The mango margarita was humongous (and delicious, though low on alcohol) and so was the chicken tortilla soup my husband ordered. Definitely had leftovers. My bean tacos were the perfect portion size for my dinner and so was my daughter's chicken tacos from the kids meal. She wants to mention that their kids activity card was the best one she's seen with a hidden pictures activity. I agree - it kept me and her occupied while my husband caught up on a game on the TV. We even took the activity home to finish later. Just one thought-- since the restrooms are on their way into the restaurant and were visible from our table, it would be nice to keep the doors closed.

    Table service...the after shot.

Stopped in Packwood on our way from Olympia to eastern Washington. Saw Nachos and decided to pop in. Service was friendly and fast, food was fresh and the cooking authentic. Clean and festive facilities. Highly recommend!

Wow, wow, wow!!! A must in Packwood...we had food at every restaurant in town, and this was far and away the absolute best! We had two combination dinners (chicken tamale, chicken enchiladas and the chile relleno), with a side of guac and sour cream, got it to go and ate it outside at the Brewery. Do yourself and favor and do the same. Staff at Nachos was also lovely!

    Borrego (lamb shanks)

The food is very good. Chips and salsa were brought out immediately with glasses ofice water. My husband had the Borrego (lamb shank) which he said was very tender and delicious. I had the Carne Asada and it was well seasoned and flavorful. Rice was fluffy and well prepared. The Borrego plate was served with whole pinto beans which were bland. The Carne Asada was served with refried beans anf were flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. Our waters were refilled without us asking. Excellent service. We loved the traditional Mexican music that was playing. The seat on one side of the booth was low. Booth seat backs were painted with Mexican style. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in during a lovely drive. We were greeted with friendly service and warm tortilla chips. Our table ordered chicken mole and an enchilada with a taco al pastor. Everything was a generous portions. I didn't care for the taco as it was a hard shell vs a street taco but I didn't clarify before I ordered. The mole was tasty and a bit more on the sweet side. The enchilada was perfect-just the right size and not drowned in sauce. Worth a stop after a hike or skiing to fill you you before heading home.

Menudo could use a little more Chiles blended into the broth and shredded cabbage added with the rest of the toppings.

The margaritas were terrible and very expensive. Taco salad meat was tasteless. Chips were good but overall we were sorry we came.

6 of us had 6 different items. All very good. Sangria good, strong, but pricey. Decent beer prices. Would recommend.

I have never seen such great wooden architecture before in my life. There are enough seats to host large events as well as many games and books to enjoy. What's great about this place is that they have non-alcoholic beer as well as a variety of craft brewery. The bartender, Jason, was very helpful in deciding which beer to try. If you get a chance to come here, I highly recommend ordering: -Self Care "Scherler Easiest Lager" (N/A): very light, hoppy, tastes like a normal IPA, but without the buzz. It is a bit watered down in opinion, but I don't mind it. -Hourglass IIPA (8.5%): An Imperial IPA with strong pine and orange flavors, a little bitter, crisp, and fresh. Better than your typical lager. -Huckleberry Cider (6.4%): sweet, and beautiful color, a great choice for cider lovers. -"Virgin" Bloody Mary: your typical Mary, but without the booze, and a splash of Yucatán Habanero hot sauce. You can heat it up as much as you want with their variety of sauces. Packwood Brewery is a must try for any hikers or vacationers. Grab a pint, sit back, and relax after a very tiring adventure!
