Pack N Send did an outstanding job in packing a painting I won in an online auction in Houston. They gave me a quote for crating the painting (in plywood) and though it was more than using thick-walled cardboard, I went with the crating as the painting was fairly expensive (for me). Wanted to make sure UPS didn't damage it like they did a painting I had packed and shipped to someone. When the painting arrived and opened the crate (below), was amazed at how well they had packed the painting inside the crate, using Styrofoam, lots of bubble wrap and thick board over the canvas, and more. Have purchased numerous paintings through online auctions and have never seen one packed as well as this one was. To make things even better, the final charge for packing and shipping was less than the initial estimate they had quoted. The ladies I dealt with here were super nice, helpful, and very patient. I had the worst experience with this company. I understand that the weather has been insane and that shipping by truck will absolutely take some time. However, the fact that I paid $700 in shipping and handling and it took FOUR months to get here, after calling once in January and once in February to ask where my shipment was and they promised it was on its way, is absolutely ridiculous. The whole process took 4 months. 2 months to pick up my product, and 2 months to deliver it. Keep in mind I ordered my product in early December and finally received it in March. I would have been okay with this if they would have kept me updated and notified about the conditions of driving and that it was going to take a while, but the lack of communication was absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, they assured me that I would receive a call ONE DAY in advance of the delivery day, so I could make arrangements and prepare for the acceptance of the delivery. But I get a text message from the delivery driver Ronnie at 6 AM today saying he was at the location and ready to unload the product I had shipped to me. I was incredibly frustrated since I work 30 miles away from where I needed it delivered. There was no call ahead of time, no way for me to prepare for someone to be there to accept the delivery, and the product I had delivered to me is over 400 pounds. As I said before, I would not have had any issues with this company if there was proper communication about what was going on and if it didn't take more than 4 months to get my product delivered to me. read more

Sue, manager of Pack N Send at 6214 Beverly Hill St, Houston, TX 77057, advised me not to take out insurance because the deductible was more than what I would receive back if the piece was totally destroyed. See email chain attached. I needed an antique secretary desk packed and shipped from Houston, TX to Richmond, VA. I was told that it would arrive at the end of December. It did not arrive until the first week of February. I kept calling and asking about it and Sue kept telling me excuses about its whereabouts. Finally after several more weeks, they told me they attempted to deliver it and left voicemail messages, but I never received any messages. You can see from my cell phone records that no such phone number called me nor left a message. They are claiming that I did not return their call. This is a total lie. The delivery people dialed the wrong number because he said there was a woman's voice on the recorded greeting. I do not have a recorded greeting on my phone. It is the automated voice that repeats the number you have reached. When it finally did arrive, I was shocked to see how the piece was being transported. It was not in a moving truck, as described in the attached email chain, but in a small trailer hitched to the back of a pickup truck. The desk arrived broken, and I wasn't able to open the secretary drawer for 2 months until I could get an antique restorer in to release the door. When I finally did get it opened, a small interior drawer was missing. I called the auction house, and they assured me it was all intact when Pack n Send picked it up. See photos attached. I have called Sue numerous times and she refuses to help me track down the missing drawer. I was not asking for a refund or any compensation for my out of pocked expenses to rectify the problem or the damage done during shipping that Pack N Send caused. I only wanted to track down the drawer. Sue is not taking any responsibility for the missing drawer and hung up the phone on me when I tried to gather more information to locate the drawer. She will not even contact the delivery person, who lives in Summerville, SC. She will not refund me the cost of the delivery fee and I didn't even ask about the cost about the antique itself or what it cost to have the drawer opened. This company lacks integrity, honesty and professionalism. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I have used Pack n Send for years for, well, packing and sending things too big and/or delicate for me to do myself. Always great, things get to their destination in perfect shape. Framed photos, guitars, etc. But in the past two years we have used them for two moves for my elderly parent. Both times the crews were wonderful, especially a couple of weeks ago. Great pick up, packing, and shipping service for my belongings even though I was already half way across the world. They picked up my belongings, packed any items that weren't boxed up (they did a great job packing it all), and coordinated shipping to get me the best quote available. Once the shipper was set everything got here in a matter of days. I appreciated the communication and service with Ray throughout the process. I have moved several times and NEVER had a problem with a moving company. I made it VERY clear what I needed moved. The initial lady asked very thorough questions about everything that I had. I also made ot very clear that the public storage closed at 6pm and I wouldn't have access after that. She assured me that it would be fine and that they would arrive by 3pm. I asked for 3 movers. When the truck arrived, there were only 2 movers. I was not warned about this prior to, because I would have gotten a different company. The movers were friendly. However, because there were only 2 movers, while 1 was disassembling my beds, the other was just standing around waiting on him. So obviously they didn't finish by 6pm, as promised. I had to get a hotel room to stay in town and let them into the storage this morning. It took them an additional 2 hours this morning to unload. So, what I was told would be a 3 hr move, turned into a 7 hour move. I have to move these item out of storage in 2 weeks. Obviously, I won't be using this company and I don't recommend anyone else using them. The manger was rude but offered to mail me a $50 check off of what turned into a $791.50 bill because it took them an additional 4 hours to move. A joke! read more

Disappointed . It was for a parcel from Houston to be sent to France. They did not want to give me a quote on the pretext that they did not know the dimensions, nor even give me a rough estimate. I did not think it was so expensive and it is unfair not to have given me BEFORE when i came in this society in Houston a price estimation, so i would have had the choice of differents solutions. When at last, they gave me the price 3 weeks later, i already was in France and i feel trapped by this society. Last but not least, It was very long.: they always say by phone that i will have the price "tomorrow". Déçue. C'était pour un colis de Houston vers la France. Was very disappointed by their shipping service. Was given an estimated 3-day window of pickup, which wasn't made until a full week later; we were not notified of the delay. The driver then also missed the committed date of delivery. We actually intercepted the shipment by driving 1-1/2 hours to meet the driver. I asked for an adjustment on the price we paid for the shipment because of this and was denied and then ignored. Very unreliable service with poor communication and follow through. Noticed one positive review and that their negative reviews are not posted. Would not recommend and would not use this company again. read more

Through 3 moves and many flights of stairs they have never dinged or damaged any of my furniture--and I have a lot of furniture! Plus they were dishonest on pickup time, had promised to pick and ship my item next business day but instead took seven days to pickup, kept asking for this and that and giving all kinds of excuses( related to weather "in spring!!"). I feel extra comfortable knowing that they specialize in high dollar moving & shipping as I know my belongings are being handled with the best care! We used Pack-n-send to move my dad from his home to an independent living facility. Their service was perfect! They arrived on time and had properly estimated the size of truck and number of workers to send based on my inventory of what items were to be moved. Everything was packed carefully, and nothing was damaged! Most of the items were moved from the second floor with no damage to the house either. Upon arrival at the new residence, the driver was careful to evaluate the situation (lots of traffic and little parking) and chose a route that did no damage to trees on the property. They enthusiastically placed and re-placed items and took all of their packing materials and trash with them. The amount of time they verbally estimated sight unseen to execute this job was spot on! Not only were we impressed, but my 93 year old dad was highly complimentary over and over again. Thanks for taking the stress out of a difficult day!
