This company moved me over 1 1/2 years ago (August 31, 2022) and I am still having nightmares about the move. They cancelled on the first day. Showed up at 5:00 p.m. instead of 8:00 a.m. on the second day. They tried to cancel again but I had to move out because it was the 31st of the month. They DID NOT know how to pack a truck. They kept removing items and looking confused about how to pack the truck. When I gave them suggestions, it seemed to irritate them. They packed so poorly that we had to make two trips to the storage unit to drop off my items. On the last trip, which was about midnight, one of the movers just started throwing my boxes to the back of the storage with no regard to what was in the boxes. The reason they threw the boxes to the back of the storage (which was totally unacceptable) was because they blocked the entry into the storage unit with large pieces of furniture instead of leaving a pathway. Once again proving that they did not have experience with packing a truck or a unit. It was late and I was a female alone at a storage facility so I was afraid to say too much because I did not want them to retaliate. I called the office the next day to complain and was told that if I move again within 90 days and use them, they would reimburse me for any damaged items. I never got an apology or a refund for the overage in time since they did not know what they were doing. I know I paid for an extra 4 hours that should not have been clocked if they got to my house on time (8 am) and wasn't tired because they decided to make me their second move that day and moved someone else first. They promised that I would be first since they cancelled on the original day (30th), but instead they showed up at 5:00 p.m. I am about to move again, and I dread the idea of trying to find another moving company. But what I dread even more so is opening up my boxes and finding 90% of my precious glass items broken. It will be painful because some of these items are irreplaceable. I have moved approximately 8-10 times in my lifetime, and I have NEVER experienced this level of inadequacy. This was by far THE MOVE LITERALLY FROM HELL!!!!!! If something is damaged, do NOT expect them to reimburse you for any claims you might file for your broken furniture. Was happy with them showing up on time. Was happy with the polite movers taking care to wrap my furniture. There was a mishap where my glass curio cabinet was broken on the drive. I told them, "things happen" and followed the instructions on filing a claim. A MONTH later, 11 emails, 6 phone calls, 3 promises it would be mailed as soon as possible, and uncountable apologies, I STILL do NOT have a check for a mere $75 settlement on my curio cabinet that was worth four times as much to me or to replace. Hired Murray Moving to transfer a very delicate collection from my offices to another business. Three very polite, considerate, and cautious Men carefully covered and secured the many glass sheets and doors of the showcases. Great care was taken moving every individual piece per instruction. These guys are amazing! I had scheduled an appointment with another mover that cancelled an hour before they were supposed to show up. I called around frantically trying to find another mover last second. Most places wanted to charge an astronomical amount for last minute service. Local move within Texas Recommendation: Do not use Murray Moving Company. Murray Moving operates in Houston, Tomball, and Austin, Texas. My wife and I used them to move from our home in Cypress, TX (plus a storage unit close by) to Magnolia, TX. Choosing them was based on their website and favorable impression made by their sales contact. The move proceeded fairly well. However, it was discovered after the move that one of the 6-man moving crew stole two expensive watches (anniversary gifts to each other). We filed a theft claim with Murray Moving, and they assigned a claim number and a claims dept. contact, who at first was communicative and seemed to be proactive and supportive. However, the claim has been ignored and the company has since been and continues to be unresponsive, despite multiple (and unreturned) email and voice message communications. I strongly recommend to Texas residents to avoid use of Murray Moving, given their apparent hiring practices and because if you should have a damage or theft claim, they are not likely to resolve the matter to your satisfaction, but will simply avoid it in the hope that you will drop it. There are many moving company options. So, Murray Moving Company need not be an option for you. read more

I was asked by my upper management team to find a moving company that could pick up some machines from one location and deliver them to ours. I went online and obtained several companies names and numbers and began to call and inquire about the items that we needed to have picked up. Long story short, I called Murray Moving Company and spoke with Mr. Clay Jacobs. I explained to him what we needed to have picked up and delivered and I even emailed him a picture of the item. After speaking with me and reviewing my email, Mr. Jacobs responded promptly and submitted everything I needed to know regarding the move. I must admit, it's been awhile since I've had to utilize a moving company, but I can truthfully say that Mr. Jacobs made my experience very worthwhile. As I mentioned earlier, there were several other companies I contacted, but Mr. Jacobs was the only one that reached out to me and made sure all of my questions or concerns were taken care of before we scheduled the move. Now, I must share with you about my experience with Chris and Joe, the actual movers. Upon their arrival, the weather wasn't too bad, slightly misting. I watched them carefully wrap up our items and they placed each one in the designated areas of delivery. Both gentlemen were very polite and professional. I was very impressed with the pair of them. Because of their great customer service skills, I will be utilizing Murray Moving Company for all of my personal moving needs. My rating for this company is a perfect 10!
