It doesn't prove or fix or accommodate anything! FURTHER PROVING MY POINT! I asked you to come on site to make sure everything ran smoothly, and you refused, I told you I had a problem with your crew the first time but I did not want to have another moving company come in and touch what you guys had already packed. That's the only reason I rehired you!!! I sent you several pictures of broken lamps and you never responded. I called you numerous times to tell you that one of your men disappeared for a whole hour. I literally beg you to communicate with your crew on how long it was taking and at the end everybody became rude and it was one woman which is myself against four strangers and they were all men!!! Let's face facts on this internet, you're not about customer satisfaction you're about clearing your name. Maybe if you gave me a partial refund that may help. I felt completely taken advantage of. That second load was completely unnecessary because they were small items that could have fat on the truck the first time just like it did with the first move. But I was charged extra and it felt like it was out of malice. At the very end of the night everybody just stopped working got my money and left trash in my yard. You stopped responding. I really don't know why it's so hard to find a trustworthy moving company these days but I am really considering just moving things the old fashioned way in the future. Houston ProMovers started out strong. I was really impressed with Pete and Daniel. They both seemed very professional and honest. And for the most part, they were. My issue was with the lead mover guy that showed up to my house the day of the move. We requested packing and moving our stuff to a storage unit. They provided the boxes, tape, tools, etc. The packing and moving took about 7 hours total. We were charged just under $200 an hour (about $189 to be precise). There were a few things underhanded about how the lead mover guy handled the move: - He kept saying, "there is a 9 hour minimum" though his English wasn't good so maybe that was misinterpreted. This was the first we heard of any minimums. - He kept telling us that we would pay the moving company a portion but then him directly a portion. - He was trying to lure business away from the company by offering to have us go through him directly for our next move. I'm all for saving money but not from someone that operates like this. The move took a little under 7 hours to complete. He asked us to pay the moving company the 7 hours plus costs for boxes but then asked us to pay another 2 hours to him directly because of a "9 hour minimum". I hesitated and questioned why and he claimed that they are not compensated for all of their work or something like that. Again, his English was not good so I wasn't completely sure. As I started to push back more, he said, "If you didn't like our work, then just pay me 1 hour instead of 2." Was this his way of demanding a hefty tip? Not sure. Regardless, we went ahead and gave him 2 hours of pay. Not to mention when he saw my wife alone, he then ASKED for a separate tip AFTER his under the table 2 hours was already paid to him. We planned to tip already and we understand the importance of doing so. I HATE surprises when your expectations have already been set. And I am constantly having bad luck with moving companies. Even when their reviews are good online. The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because the work was solid and they worked hard. But I definitely wouldn't hire them again, unfortunately. Btw, I notice that nowadays companies try to reply to your reviews to get the last word but just look at my history of reviews. I'm an Elite Yelp member. Daniel and his team are stellar! I've seen them in my neighborhood before but solicited a quote via Yelp. I booked a moving job about a week in advance, during the peak of summer moving season and they were excellent! They called and confirmed, sent emails for contracts, and a courtesy reminder call. The team arrives with all the tools to breakdown and setup, wrapping, and transporting. I had a team of 2 movers, who arrived on time and worked hard, getting my move done in about 3 hours. All of my items from large furniture to glassware were handled with care, not so much as a scuff on anything. I will definitely use them again!! read more

After reading all the online reviews on Google and Yelp, we've decided to hire Houston Promovers. I first dealt with Daniel Cerón. He was very informative and their prices were very reasonable compared to their competitors. They were very responsive from Day 1 as other companies were not as quick to respond back for quotes. For a 2 story home, we were recommended to use 2 trucks to avoid having to do 2 separate trips with one truck. I'm glad I took Daniel's advice on that. It took them 9 hours to pack up everything, and unpack at the new house. Each truck had a team of 3. So we had a total of 6 movers. The guys moved quickly and I want to applaud them all for a job well done. I recently relocated with my husband from the Willowbrook area to Midtown. We decided to go with this company due to the quoted price. We were going from a 1-bedroom, bottom floor apartment with a small storage unit to a 2-bedroom unit in a building with an elevator. They got to the apartment around 10am. We had everything in boxes. The only physical furniture they had to move was a small dining table, a king bedroom set, a sectional, a tv stand, and two tvs. They did not finish unloading at the new place until after 5pm. It is beyond me what could have taken so long!! Instead of using the elevator, they decided to walk a lot of the furniture up the stairs. $800+ dollars later and I can honestly say that I will never use this company. I am severely disappointed in how things went. We did not have enough furniture for this move to take an entire day. I have a tremendous amount of respect for people in this industry, and I have moved at least six times over the last 7-8 years, but never ONCE has a move cost me even half of this one!! read more

They demanded to be paid before they even loaded the truck completely. Did not move all of the furniture. Kept the furniture for 5 days and demanded to be paid only through Zelle. Before the furniture was released back to the customer. Be aware of this company Houston pro movers.. they will manage to get overtime added to your estimate. They were great and friendly. They double check twice the day prior to ensure my Move. The day of move they called to make sure I was okay for the move. Daniel, Hector and Felix were super polite and so nice. They took great care of my items. They did my move in two hours now I only moved in the same area and everything was pre packed. But they ensure my Mirror and tv were extra secure. And again so nice. I would highly recommend. Also, I had a window of arrival between noon and 4pm. They told me in the morning they had a move before me. They then notified me at 1pm that they would be arriving between 2:30-3 which was fine since I had the window time already noted. I want to break out the review between Day 1 and Day 2 of moving to be fair to Daniel. Day 1 went great. Day 2 did not go so well. Daniel sent 3 movers to my home with tools to disassemble my pool table and move to delivery address. The movers did not break down the heavy table into smaller, less heavy items to more easily transport. As a result, they struggled to maneuver the large, heavy, expensive table throughout the move. The table was dropped off a dolly in front of my home while being transported to the delivery truck. Then the table was dropped on each wooden stair at the delivery address and fell into a bannister, which was knocked off the staircase. The table indented and scratched every stair up to the second floor. Daniel admitted fault over the phone and apologized for his employees not disassembling the table. The situation was cordial at this point. I assured him I understand that he did the right thing in telling his employees to disassemble the table, but they ultimately did not follow his instructions. I was paying the company by the hour so I really do not understand why they did not take the time to disassemble the heavy table. Daniel requested his preferred home repair contractor review/fix the damage. This is where Daniel and I do not see eye to eye. Daniel's employees damaged the delivery address and cannot dictate who performs the repairs. I trusted his employees / contractors once, and that did not turn out great for me. So to think I will hand over the keys to home repair contractor of his choice is not reasonable. In the aftermath of this exchange Daniel informed me that his liability is limited to 60 cents per pound by contract and state law. I researched this and it checked out. Ultimately the home and pool table were fixed for ~$1,700. I spent a month locating a cost effective vendors. Many pool table vendors told me that table cannot be fixed and needs to be replaced. The stairs were ultimately not replaced. They were sanded and puttied. Again, he did not perform the repairs himself but I went over/above to mitigate repair cost. Daniel has not replied to any of my requests for funds. 60 cents a pound is roughly $600-1,200 given approximate size of pool table, and I am not sure whether or not the damage to stairs / bannister is limited to 60 cents per pound. Regardless, this is irrelevant because Mr. Daniel has paid me $0 and does not reply to my emails. Now I am out $1,700 and have the hassle of going through a DMV claims process. read more

I just moved from a three-story townhome near the Medical Center to a new house in Cypress. Like many people who are seeing the limited amount of reviews, this is because the company just started in November 2020. However, Daniel (the owner) and his crew have several years of experience working in other well known moving companies. One the day of the move, Daniel's team arrived right on time. I dealt with Miguel, who was the crew leader. He did a great job. He first walked the entire townhome with us to get an understanding of each room and all the furniture that needed to moved. They also clearly communicated the start time so there were no surprises. They took such great care of our furniture and were very understanding of our requirements, especially when it came to our fragile items. They also professionally took apart our two queen beds and carefully shrink-wrapped them for protection. They also shrink-wrapped all our of nice items like our bedframes, nightstands, etc. We have hardwood floors and his team used blankets underneath all heavy items so as to not damage our floor. They loaned us blankets for items that we wanted to move ourselves and offered us extra boxes. In our new home, they took the same care to move all boxes and furniture in the requested rooms. In their truck, Miguel's team took the time to make sure that all our fragile items were secured carefully. Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1,846 square foot townhome filled up a 26 foot truck so I would communicate your house size and furniture requirements to Daniel so he can make the necessary arrangements like having a second truck ready just in case, for example. Daniel also stopped by during the move to check on us and was very friendly like the rest of his crew. At the end of the day, their team worked so incredibly hard for us. There is no way we could have done this move across town without them. Their customer service skills were awesome and the crew took incredible care with our items. If you have a time frame you are wanting your move done, I wouldn't recommend pro movers. They are going to move slow, to add up the time. I had two men, move me from a 1/2 bedroom to a studio apartment and it took them 4 hours. Everything was already dissembled and put in boxes. They literally were moving items one at a time out of my apartment. Even dropped a couple of my items. One of the movers asked to use my bathroom and didn't even flush the toilet. I originally booked a different moving company for a local move and they were responsive to texts and calls UNTIL the window of 10-11am passed. No responses to texts or calls to any of their listed numbers or the number the employee had been texting me on. What a shame. I then contacted Houston Promovers after getting stood up and they responded in lighting quick time on a Saturday and I was told they could have movers at my door in about 2 hours. I thought there was no way because I just got played for a fool by the other company but we took a shot anyways because we had no choice. The driver called me when he was 45 minutes out kind as can be and the two wonderful men moved all of our belongings for us.
