During my recent move, I decided to give them my repeat business. Huge mistake. You get what you pay for. They quoted $110 per hour plus $70 admin fee, minimum 2 hours. That was fine. However, when they showed up, they advised that they charge $15 per roll for shrink wrap. I was in agreement with using the shrink wrap and blankets but they advised they were not sure how many rolls they would use. Then it was changed to 3 rolls. I've used movers in the past and they have always included shrink wrap and blankets in their pricing. However, I've also seen how the shrink wrap is used and 3 rolls is grossly overestimated. I've included a picture of the shrink wrap roll for reference. After signing for them to start the job, a never ending agreement about the number of shrink wrap rolls they would use, and the clock already ticking, I agreed for them to move forward with the additional $45 scam. Instead, they went outside, spoke amongst themselves and someone on the phone and advised that they would not be completing the job and left. I called the primary phone number and spoke with the owner who advised me that I should have accepted the scam pricing from the beginning and then disconnected the phone call. Cancelling a job because you don't want to be called out for overcharging for shrink wrap that should be included in your job is ridiculous. Moving is stressful. To walk out on someone during a time like that is not someone that deserves your business. The bright side is that I had another moving company's card on my door. I contacted them and they were available in the late afternoon. They ended up coming a few hours earlier. The price included the shrink wrap and blankets. They completed a HUGE job in 2.5 hours. I paid more per hour and tipped the 3 movers well. The fact that Astros Moving Company attempted to ruin my day over $45 is ridiculous. They would have made much more than that in tips and repeat business. Edit as of 05/09/25. In response to the owner. I NEVER advised them that I did not have the money to pay the ridiculous $45 for three rolls that were clearly not going to be used. After agreeing to disagree, I actually advised them to move forward. They chose to walk away instead. Not only did I pay more than the $45 with the other moving company, I tipped them generously. In business, some things are about the principle, not the money.

I tried to understand you coming at 6:55 instead of 3:30 and the fact you called at 2:39 to tell me you would be late because you were still in Conroe. You said it woudl be around 5:30/6 ish. I tried to understand you leaving my family hub refrigerator & telling me that you don't remove those doors because you have to cut the water line. Although I told you it was never hooked up. Seriously, We can't be the only people with this type of fridge. So at that point it is nearing 8:15 and I am exhausted and have no clue what to do about a fridge that has to be moved. All I know is I have to leave the property and it's too late to call anyone else. I tried to accept that my bed magically fell apart & 5 screws at the same time came loose. When my husband went back to retrieve the refrigerator the next morning, guest what he found near the elevator 2 more of the same screws with the plywood in it. EXACT screws. You lied. You said it the reason they came out is because one side had 5 screws and the other had 9. Total BS. you dropped that side of the headboard on the step, knocking the screws out of the particle board. They did not come a loose! No such thing as all the screws loosing at one time. Even though you half ass attempted to screw it back together. I even tried to accept that you didn't even try to remove the legs of my couches but left my love seat in my formal dining room & at my husbands request left the larger one in my garage because it was just too much going wrong & he just wanted it over. I even went out this morning & picked up the trees branches that were left behind from your truck. But this washer & dryer... when do you feel that you may have not done the best job for us, yet accepted all of our money. You may be defensive about this review but this is advice you should take. Do not move someone after sundown. Just cancel the appointment or don't overbook. At night you can't see the damage that's been done to someone's property and they can't see either. As a certified, professional and insured mover you know better. I have learned my lesson. I will cancel anyone trying to move me at night. I didn't deserve what I woke up to. Especially after you only had to move 2 beds, 2 dressers, 2 night stands, a washer and dryer, 2 TVs , 2 lawn chairs, a sofa, a couch and a dang bike. All, which was at the front of the house for you. Except the 4 mattresses/box spring. And still you left the fridge. These appliances were never used and thank God they have pictures from the initial delivery service, so their is proof they were delivered without any scratches to the glass or dents. So angry and disappointed. I understand the 1st is a money day for you but customer service should count for the last move of the day as well. This review is a updated version of the text I sent Mr. Larry the morning of the 2nd. Still no response from him, so I am moving forward with this complaint. We worked hard for our things and we deserve to have them in tact. He said he was finishing a 18 hour day, while we were at the new house) so he knew he had lost his stamina and objective and was in no condition to move my things. I trusted him and if I had known I was the last move of a 18 hour day I would have never put my things in is hands. I cant express how upset I am. The only good thing and worth the star is his assistant Thomas - who was kind enough to drive me across the bridge because I suffer from anxiety from a accident in my youth. (There were other things such as my book cases and a scratch on my white coffee table - I am going to sand them down and paint them so I am not that upset - they still should have not been damaged.) PS. THEY ONLY WRAPPED 1 ITEM OUT OF ALL THE THINGS LISTED ABOVE AND THAT WAS MY UNDAMAGED DRESSER
