I had a spunky, crazy, fun little silky terrier who was not even 2 years old when he was hit by a car. Sean knew Tito was a puppy and was a quick, crazy dog. Yet he still transported him without a leash, assuming that since he was a "dog whisperer", Tito would always follow him. Well that worked until the day it didn't. When Sean was bringing him back home one day, he called Tito from the van as I assume he always did, but that day Tito decided to run into the street instead of follow him. He was hit by a car and killed. Of course I blame myself for using Sean in the first place, but ultimately, Sean was responsible for the care of my dog, who was not ready to be off-leash, and now he's dead. read more

For years , my husband and I used Sean's services with our older lab. We were always pleased, with the exception of Sean's timeliness when transporting her home from the doggy day care in the evenings. In the last year, however, she would come home stinky and dirty and full of poop. I didn't really think much of it except that maybe Sean had too many dogs in the van. Well, we went out of town one weekend and Sean kept her overnight, as he had many times in the past. He called us in the middle of the night to tell us there had been a dog fight with the dogs he was boarding and our dog was "attacked." Needless to say, we never saw her again b/c they had to put her down as a result of her injuries. Sean was negligent on so many levels, from taking WAY TOO MANY dogs, to keeping the wrong types of dogs and the wrong ages of dogs together. I am of course shooting myself for not inspecting his facility closer and for not asking more questions before we left her, but she was the sweetest dog and her life never should have ended this way! I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE USING PACK LIFE AND IF YOU DO ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS AND INSPECT THE FACILITY WHERE YOUR DOG IS STAYING!! DON'T LET SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO YOUR DOG! read more

Sean helped me in my time of need with my Pit Bull when no one else would. It was an emergency situation where I needed to get my dog out of my apartment before I was evicted. He watched my dog for a month while I terminated my lease and found another place to live. I will say that if you are sensitive and can't handle your dog getting bumps, bruises, and scratches then maybe this IS NOT the place for you. Reason being is the dogs are all free roaming and dogs WILL BE dogs. This is my favorite part of Sean's daycare. My baby came back healthier and happier than ever. Thanks for taking care of Ozuna! read more

Sean and team are AMAZING. They took such good care of Milo and he had such long days of play and fun. Had no issues with any injuries or anything. The price is so far, too. The transportation made it so convenient for me living in the city. I can't say enough good things about this place! Great socialization and exercise for your dogs. read more

The dog whisperer of Bucktown!! Sean is the only guy I trust with my Saluki Bronte. I've used him for years and trust him completely. The only negative I can report is that I'm pretty sure Bronte loves Sean more than he loves me! I cannot remember one time when Sean wasnt able to take him when I go out of town and he returns him happy and fully exhausted. On top of that he's just a wonderful guy and really loves animals. Probably why he's a vegan...Not everyone connects with my Saluki, he's a bit of an acquired taste, so I'm so happy to have met Sean and highly recommend him!! read more

Sean of Pack Life has been taking great care of both my two dogs and my mom's dog. Every week, he picks up our dogs and takes them to doggie day care for a very affordable price (currently, $15 1/2 day, $22 for the whole day, couple more dollars for two dogs). He also comes over and walks them when needed. Whenever I've requested services, Sean is there, even on Thanksgiving and Christmas. He has a huge warehouse off of Lake Avenue and the dogs get free run of the place, expending a lot of energy. Plus, Sean will pick up and drop off the dogs. He has a couple vans and support staff to help him with all the pooches. Sean is laid back, great with dogs and takes in a lot of strays. If you are looking for a very affordable and fun doggie day care without the frills of cameras and report cards, I would highly recommend Sean! read more

I used Pack Life Daycare off and on btw about 2004-2010. My dog is older now and she's not really into the daycare scene anymore. What I did like about Pack Life when we used the service was that it was reasonably priced, she would get picked up and dropped off which saved me a trip, she got to be around other dogs and play outside which was really important to me. And if I needed a last minute dog walk/daycare time for my dog, they would accommodate which was really important to me due to my schedule. Sean is good with the dogs especially "difficult" dogs. Sean has also been supportive as a member of my community and helped me change my tire when it was flat and I was stuck on the side of the rode. read more

I highly recommend Pack Life if you're looking for dog day care. Our hyper Husky loves this huge place guaranteed to be populated by a bunch of dogs and is always worn out when he comes home. The place is huge, and I think they open up the side doors in better weather. Best of all, the price is right. read more

Sean has been taking care of our dogs for 6 years and we couldn't be happier knowing that they are with him, under his care and supervision when we are away. Sean and his staff are all naturals when it comes to handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments and they show each dog in their care alot of attention. You can tell that they really love what they do. Our dogs come home thoroughly exhausted after a full day of canine fun at the very spacious Pack Life facility. There is also a large, outdoor side yard with a baby pool for cooling off during the hot summer days. With pick-up and drop-off service as well as home visits, Pack Life is always our choice for full-service doggie day-care and boarding. read more

Sean and the staff at Pack Life are great! Prices are reasonable and everyone is super flexible - whether I needed them to pick up the dogs on last minute notice or half way through the day stay I decided the dogs needed a bath, the Pack Life folks accommodate with pleasure. The dogs love Sean and it's very clear that cares about them, too. I've been using Pack Life for about 4 years now and have yet to be disappointed by the service. read more

Have been taking my dog here for about 2 years. Sean and his team are great!!! I know they really take care of my dog like their own. Reliable walking, pick up and drop off. The place itself is not a fancy daycare but my dog doesn't care about that and neither do I really. It has the essentials and a friendly staff. read more

Sean has exceeded all my expectations. He is absolutely trustworthy and always timely. I would not give my dog to anyone else. His prices are also extremely resonable for the service he provides. By far the best in the city! read more

I LOVE Sean and his staff! This doggie day care is run by Sean Love (his real name) who is dedicated and professional in every way. Sean and his staff are caring, committed and concerned about your pooch's daily care and recreation and do everything to make sure you and your pup are receiving the best of care. When I leave my hyperactive Wheaten Terrier with Sean and the other dogs, I feel comfortable knowing that they are in his care inside a heated/cooled free-roam facility all day long and interacting with other dogs. Sean takes every measure to ensure that each dog is happy, well, and involved with the other dogs. He has allowed me to make a payment plan that has worked out well for me and my doggie. I would recommend Pack life to any loving, dog-owner! read more

We recently boarded our dog at Pack Life while we traveled for the holidays. Not only did our pup crash out for an entire day from all the fun he had, but we also really appreciated Sean's overall customer service (updates on how our guy was doing) and flexibility. I can't imagine boarding our dog anywhere else. read more

Sean is great. I use his services regularly for walks, daycare, and boarding. It's so great to have him in the neighborhood and his transportation option for daycare is incredibly helpful and convenient! read more

I wrote a 5 star review 5 years ago, and wanted to provide an updated review. 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS!!!! Consistently for the last 5 years! What an amazing statistic for customer service. There are lots of dog outfits in town, but Sean's service and model is paws and tails above the rest. Sean knows the personality of each of his doggie charges, gives them special names - my Dolce is "Big D" and I think my dog is more in love with Sean than me! My dog has so many friends there, has an incredibly fun time, and the flexible pickup and dropoff hours is a life safer. The owner Sean Love, has an incredibly big heart, loves people and dogs, and is a very important part of the community. I have come to not only value his business, work ethic, but consider him a friend as well. Thank you, Sean and Pack Life! read more

Found Sean randomly walking 5 dogs at a time, right when we got our puppy, Macallan, 6 years ago. Macallan is a Vizsla and needs lots of exercise and attention. Pack Life was the place for him! Sean takes exceptional care of his dogs and loves each and every one of them like they are his own. We've used Sean for the past 6 years for walking, daycare and weekend stays when we went out of town. I can't say enough great things about Sean and his services. His girls are also nice and friendly. We are now moving out of the city and we know one thing, Macallan will miss Sean and all his buddies at daycare. Sean, thanks so much for the great services you have provided and taking such great care of Macallan! We will miss you! read more

Sean is a great dog walker. I have moved to three different apartments and I have always called Sean with last minute needs, not only is he really quick to respond and get my pooch out he always seems to take her for longer walks then expected. I have used Sean to board my dog when last minute travel comes up and he always is willing to pick up and drop off my dog. THE ULTIMATE SIGN THAT SEAN DOES A GREAT JOB AND LOVES THE ANIMALS HE WATCHES IS HOW MUCH SMOKEY MY PUP RESPONDS TO HIM. SMOKEY LOVES SEAN AND WE BOTHE GIVE HIM A++++! read more

Sean has absolutely been a life saver. I moved back to the city this year after being very close to family in another state and didn't realize exactly how much assistance I was going to need with my furry kids. Between a busy work schedule and packed social calendar, Sean has made it beyond easy to make sure my guys are always taken care of. On the days I drop them off, they jump out and are stoked to see Sean and his pack. On the days he picks them up, they're always ready to roll out the door with him and the staff. My younger male dog has even become more friendly and outgoing spending time in their pack. I couldn't be happier and recommend Sean and his staff with no reservations. read more

I have the sweetest cutest little Am Staff rescue from CBBR named Rocco that can't seem to ever get enough exercise! I'm so happy to have found Sean and the Pack Life because my dog is exhausted at the end of every day and I didn't have to break the bank to do it! When he comes home all he wants is some food and his bed!!!! I can finally have some peace without guilt at the end of a long day. Delightful!!!! read more

We just tried Pack Life for the first time and we'll never board our dog anywhere else. Sean was so personable and gave us a tour of the place when we dropped Chip (our 11 month old Shar Pei) off. The place was clean and we feel great about the rates. We picked our dog up about 4 hours ago and he's been sleeping all day. We know he got lots of play time in and Sean was very involved with him during the stay. read more

I have been using Sean and Pack Life sine my 12 yo Rottie was 5, and also have a five year old Golden Retriever. Sean takes each dogs individual needs into account... My Rottie is on tons of meds, and a 3 time cancer surviver- when she visits I think she shares a bed with Sean... The Golden is so excited everytime Sean comes to pick him up, and never wants Sean to leave without him when he is dropped off! I think our golden might love Sean more now that we have kids!! Don't hesitate to use Sean... Your pups will thank you! read more

Five stars seems inadequate for Pack Life. I met Sean Love 7 years ago in Bucktown after my husband and I saw him biking late one night with a pack of dogs - our neighbor commented that he was the local dog whisperer and the rest is history. They are reasonably priced, reliable, trustworthy (the only non family with keys to our house), reliable, accommodating (last-minute requests/getting you out of a jam) and did I mention reliable? Our dogs LOVE them. The dogs are not caged, they are carted to and from your home and when they stay overnight, they sleep in beds and on couches - it's crazy. We have two dogs, one of which has some issues but Sean and his team handle her amazingly. As an aside, Sean is a great guy who has, and continues to, devote his life to Pack Life. I highly recommend Pack Life. Your dog will thank you! read more

While I no longer live in Chicago, my Sage and I will forever remember Sean. Sage was one of his first dog clients. She immediately fell in love with Sean and he made my life manageable. We lived in a small apartment. Sage is a Catahoula and if anyone knows anything about the breed, they need to burn energy - and lots of it. They can have dog aggression issues as well. Sean managed to find a group of dogs that she loved and she was able to play with abandon. He was also better at keeping her aggression issues at bay than I was. She was always tired and happy by the time I got home. Sage is now 12 1/2. She's slowed down and her hips are starting to give out, but to this day, if I mention the name, "Sean" her ears perk up. If I ever did move back to Chicago, I wouldn't hesitate to leave any dog with Sean. read more

We have used Pack Life for our rat terrier mix for the last 8 years -- almost her entire life. Sean and his employees are great. They are reliable and never is late for an appointment -- which is saying a lot given some of the snow storms that they have braved to pick up and drop off our dog. They genuinely care about each and every dog. Sean has pointed out things about my dog to bring up with the vet, and goes above and beyond with some of the "problem dogs" that he gets. Dogs in his care are socialized and do not spend any time penned up. He really is a "dog whisperer" and dogs just love him. read more

Sean Love is awesome! He picked up and dropped off our big coonhound/lab mix, Smokey, 5 days a week for about 3 years. Smokey was always happy and exhausted at the end of the day. When we moved further North, possibly out of the normal service area, Pack Life continued the same service for us. We also boarded Smokey with them when we went out of town. We felt great leaving him with people he was familiar with that understood his quirks. We also liked that the dogs were not crated and that Sean was flexible on the pick up time on Sundays. Sean was always accessible and able to work with last minute schedule changes. On occasion we would call Sean when we had a dog-related question and he gave us helpful advice. You can tell he loves what he does, and just "gets" dogs, like the dog whisperer. It's cliché, but totally true! We have since moved even further North and had to stop sending Smokey to hang out on a daily basis due to our location. I've recommended Pack Life to tons of people in the city and will continue to do so! read more

Met Sean more than 5 years ago and my dog (and sometimes cat) have been in his care ever since. Nothing gets my dog more pumped than when that van makes a stop at our house to pick him up. He ADORES Sean and I know Sean cares for my dog like he is his own. And that's all a pet owner wishes for when they can't be around to take care of them ourselves. I can rely on Sean for last minute pickups, watching our pets when we go out of town, and even feeding our car when need be. He's responsible, trustworthy, kind and super friendly. Just a great guy. More importantly, he is truly an animal lover -- and it shows. Highly, highly recco his services. You won't be disappointed. read more

We have used Sean for our dog's care since 2004. He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty for our dog and our family (our three small children adore Sean). I would even go so far as to call him a makeshift locksmith when needed. :) His prices are reasonable, his staff is polite and responsible, and his facility has plenty of room for multiple dogs to run free (indoors and outdoors). He LOVES all animals and would lay down his life for them. Our dog once had an incident while in Sean's care, and I have never seen anyone so concerned or worried for an animal or a person, as I did Sean. He went above and beyond to make sure our Minetta was taken care of properly and then came and checked up on her the following days. His love for the pets in his care is unconditional. He looks out for the dogs' health, and brings to your attention any issues that he considers vet worthy. Many people at the public dog parks often refer to Sean as the "dog whisperer" and there is much truth to this. The dogs know how much he adores them and you can see them flock to him walks through any dog park's gate. Our dog and our family love Sean and Pack Life! read more

My dog, Busta' LOVES Sean and all of his crew! They took care of walking and caring for Busta' off and on for five years. I moved out of Chicago and if I just mention Sean's name, Busta' still remembers and runs to the door looking for him. Sean and Pack Life are the best. read more

We have used Sean for years and he is great. We have used him for walking, and boarding and he has been great. The dogs love him and they always return happy and healthy. I can only say good things about our experience with Sean and Pack Life read more

Sean and his team at Pack Life are fantastic. We used him to care for our Wheaten Terrier, Leona for four years while we lived in the city. We used him for both weekday care and overnights. Leona would always jump up in excitement at the sound of keys at the door - always so happy to be picked up by Sean/his team. We know that she was well cared for AND well loved during her years with Pack Life. Sean himself is such a great guy - super friendly, reliable and always was flexible and willing to accommodate last minute requests. We easily felt we were "getting our money's worth" and then some for the amount of time Leona spent with him and the level of personal care she received. We were sad to have to leave Sean and Pack Life behind when we moved to the suburbs recently. We were thankful to have had him in our corner throughout our time in the city! read more

Sean is a dog whisperer! He is absolutely amazing with dogs and knows just what each dog needs. We were fortunate enough to meet him many years ago as we were having a difficult time finding a place to board our 150 mastiff. The size and demeanor of our dog Nelson intimidated a lot if people and he was so protective of us it was hard to have him relaxed enough to let others take care of him. Sean had a connection with him right away and Nelson loved seeing him! Sean treats every dog as if it were his own and has tireless energy to look after them. We never worried about Nelson when he was with Sean and Nelson truly loved him. When Nelson passed away after a long life, my husband and I actually found ourselves needing to go visit Sean to seek comfort as the other person in his world that understood and cared for him. We've moved away now and adopted a new dog and both my husband and I are missing the ability to introduce him to Sean! He is the best possible choice to trust your dogs with and we recommend him without a single complaint!! read more

Just want to post an update. Sean and his team know your dog, are caring, responsive and understanding. I will continue to trust Sean and his team with my Walter. read more

Originally, I wrote a 5 star review. At the time, what I said was true & accurate. Then a few days ago, Sean's personal dog broke out of its crate & attacked my dog at daycare. Sean admitted it was unprovoked. My dog required minor surgery to repair his torn ear & also had several gashes in his face that needed to be cleaned up. I offered to pay half the bill b/c I understand that accidents happen & I chose to have the surgery vs less expensive options (less expensive options would have likely ended up with continued bleeding & possible death of part of the ear b/c of the way my dog's ear was torn) & I have an expensive vet. However, Sean's reaction to having to foot half the bill for his dog attacking my dog was not good. If he hadn't reacted the way he did & accepted responsibility for this, I probably would not have written this review, because like I said, accidents happen. I do appreciate Sean watching my dog for over a year & my dog seemed to be happy there, but we will not be back. read more

LOVE Packlife!!! I have a somewhat socially awkward corgi pit mix - he's very dog friendly, but doesn't always know how to play, and he also is a little weird meeting new humans - especially on the leash. I did a trial at Packlife & Sean and staff were so great with him. He's been going to packlife for 2 years now, and it has been absolutely amazing for him! Not only is he completely exhausted when he comes home, but it has helped him so much socially with other dogs and humans. He's literally so much more well adjusted. I started bringing my chi and other pit mix there as well - and they both LOVE it also. It provides them play, exercise, stimulation, etc. Working full time I don't know what I would do without Sean and Pack life! I try to do 2 days a week, and I text Sean when I arrive, and he comes out to grab them, and takes them inside! Same at pick up. Very easy, and I have boarded them when I've been on longer trips, and know they are in great hands. Sean and Packlife are the best! read more

Sean Love / Pack Life Dog Daycare is the BEST of the BEST - hands down. I have been bringing my dog here for 4 years now and counting. One thing that impressed me right away with Sean in comparison to others I attempted to hire in the past was the way he quickly bonds with each dog and within no time, they (including mine, who can be VERY difficult) love him and listen to him, even as a whole pack! He has always been extremely flexible and accommodating in regards to my often wacky work schedule. He loves the dogs and it shows. The facility is extremely large and spacious with indoor and outdoor areas for them to play, yet also get a little space if desired (which is RARE for a Chicago boarding facility - so many are crammed in tight spaces). When I have had to leave Kingston (my pup) there for extended stays, Sean has been extremely considerate - updating me on his status, taking him on "field trips" to the dog park with the rest of the pack (which is normal for them!) and even sent me photos on a few occasions of my dog playing/sleeping peacefully on one of his couches/etc., There is literally NO other dog daycare or boarding option in this city that compares to the quality of care and service PackLife provides! read more

My foster dog LOVED this place!!! Will continue to use with future fosters!! Thanks, Sean!!

Sean saved our baby shower. There was no way I could have my 60 lb of muscle pit mix running around the house while we try and entertain a bunch of people, and many doggie daycare places weren't open on a Sunday. Sean took Roscoe in, and was very flexible with the drop off and pick up times. It was so simple. Roscoe came back happy and passed out early. That's what I like to see. I will certainly keep this place in mind for the future. read more

We were looking for a flexible and reasonably priced day care in Chicago. We headed over to Pack Life on a Saturday afternoon to check out the facility with our dog Kobe. Sean was great and clearly in love with both his job and all of the dogs. The facility areas (both indoor and outdoor) are large and clean. The dogs can run around all day and are not crated at any time. You can bring your dog any day of the week without notice. This made it very easy for my husband and I who work remote last minute. We sadly just moved to the suburbs so we are no longer at Pack Life but we miss Sean dearly! read more
