Generous portion sizes and totally worth the price. Ceviche was life-changingly fresh and delicious. The staff were kind and the restaurant's decorations were just right.

I ordered the Pastor tacos and was so pleasantly surprised not only did they grill the pork in the taco, but they put the sliced grilled pineapple inside as well. What an interesting treat. She had three enchiladas, chicken, one with green sauce, one with red sauce, and one with the chocolate mole. We also ordered three sushi rolls to go to take home for later this evening. What a great place a combination of sushi and Mexican food they're both excellent.

Newer restaurant.. took the place of Tres Amores in Downtown Oxnard. Service is a bit slow as they are new so understandable. Staff is friendly and attentive. We got the 5 buck rolls , Salmon and Spicy tuna under the Happy Hour menu. On Tuesdays they have tacos for $2. We came back for $2 Al pastor tacos. The Al pastor is not made on a grill. I liked them and for $2 it was a great deal. They also have chicken and asada for $2. Cool place to hang out. Love the vibes and mural in the wall. It was pretty empty unfortunately. Come and support and try them out. Reminder there is a slower service so be patient and kind. This is a new business. On the weekends with their mariachi brunch it seems to be a lot busier.

If you want a truly unique dining experience, head over to Pacifico Sushi-Mex. The chef (you might have guessed) is Hispanic, but don't let that fool you into any preconceived ideas, this fellow knows his sushi as well or better than most Japanese, sushi-trained chefs. His combinations are not only creative, they border on genius. On the rare occasion I splurge on sushi and and eat non-vegan (raw fish), I prefer it to be worth it, and this SO was. Even though I dined here on a Monday night, which many sushi connoisseurs would advise against (because there's no deliveries on Sundays), the sushi tasted like it just arrived fresh from the sea. Prices are also reasonable. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely frequent here so I could try and review more things. The chef came around and ask what ingredients I covet, and made to order what I ate. I had very first sushi burrito and I enjoyed every minute of it! The service was super friendly and uber-fast! I wasn't rushed from the table when it was closing time either. The place was pretty empty - it seems I came right after happy hour (daily 3-7pm), but after I write this review, I saw someone else remark on that too. Shame, because they deserve the business. The owner clearly takes pride is his restaurant and his chef, and immediately knew that I like lime in my water when I ask for it hot. The atmosphere is a sport-bar / diner like, with TVs on nearly every wall (on a sport channel), brightish lights, and Amigo's music piped in. A live stage suggests live music at times. If you're a "sushi snob", don't let first impressions of what you might expect from a quality sushi place fool you. There's more to this place than meets the eye upon first glance. The food and service (albeit my waitress not speaking much English) was top notch! (I came when there was a cold breeze blowing through, so you might bring a jacket on cold days.) Two thumbs up. I deduct one star as I prefer a slightly more ambient, dimly lit atmosphere, but with food this fresh and this good, coupled with ingredients I treasured, and such excellent service, I just have to give it 5 stars.

Great find tonight. Enjoyed eating and drinking while we watched the Dodgers. Service was terrific. We will be back.

Spicy Tuna! The simplest sushi rolls here are such a steal. Try a few-with a few margaritas! You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I tried this place, after passing it so many times. I'm glad we did! The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. You can rent out the space for private parties, and once you walk in, it was apparent why!

The sushi burrito for $21 is pretty small. Maybe a third the size of a meat/rice/bean burrito from a regular mexican place

Pretty much the only place that haven't tried in Oxnard city...until yesterday…read more Let's start with the chips and salsa...always a good indicator of things to come. Wasn't the best, but far from bad. The chips were in one of those steel machines to keep warm, they were thin, crispy, and light salt, the way ALL tortilla chips should be. But they were a bit oily only negative. The salsa was cantina style seemed homemade, was good, zero spice/mild. (B+) Combo fajitas (friend order) it was a good tasting with a terrific plate of guac, pico, refried beans, and shredded cheese. Heck, you couldve made a meal from just the side plate wrap em up call it a veggie fajita party. Very filing and good (A-) Other friends had carne asada burrito, and a steak plate, both happy so assuming they are good. Service was outstanding by several individuals; checking in on order, refilling drinks, cleaning table, all workers are terrific and polite. I was ready for the 5-star goldenrod Neptune-trident throwdown, but my order, the torta (D-) was a complete trainwreck. Al pastor and a torta; took a double-jeopardy style gamble and crapped out, snake eyes big time. The bread was abysmal/ not fresh, the al pastor was ice cold and not memorable, meat fused to a cold hardened melted gooey cheese; send it back, replaced with carne asada, still came back cold (just don't get it.) so that item alone dragged it down a star. I was so full from the chips and salsa, sampling friends' food, and the side order of clam chowder (yes, in a Mex restaurant a first for me, was smoky and quite good too! (A-) that I just picked off some of the cold beef and ate that without the bread. Would I come back? Well, when seaside, I usually crave seafood like a nice fish n chips or something, but if I am ever craving Mex, will bring wife and son. Just will not touch the torta with a diez-foot pole amigo. They also have a salsa bar upon entrance which I completely forgot to pound once food came, shame on me once.

With that being said, I wanted to try it out. This was about 2 years ago prior to this visit I had today at this location. I jotted the note down after overhearing him talking about it while watching Netflix. When arriving, the environment outside is run down, old fashioned and in the scary graffiti, homeless surrounding. Parking is difficult to find, but we got lucky me and a colleague. The place is on a road side where parking it located a few streets between about 100 feet away. The surrounding had graffiti and loitering which was unpleasant and I would imagine it is worse at night, be careful here! Inside, a wonderful aroma excites you as you enter the restaurant. Booths all around and hard uncomfortable seats. A lot of people came here today on Sunday afternoon. Customer service was excellent, the guy at the front was very chill, polite and acted as if I was his homie, buddy or good friend. This is what I like. I ordered the birria of course, a meat drenched in a bunch of flavors for days to keep the meat juicy, tender and moist. The variations ordered were three tacos plate with birria, onions cilantro and a consome that was massive. This meal was $17. The other order was a four piece birria quesadilla that was absolutely delightful, succulent and had a delicious hunger craving aroma and flavor that any starving or hungry person would die for! This plate was $14. The tacos did come with beans and rice. Between the two dishes the birria quesadilla was my favorite however, the tacos tasted better. The tortilla of the tacos was fresh and made with love. The value was regular, something I expected compared to taco trucks and side vendors of Mexican food. This place is extraordinary. I felt guilty after consumption because it was fatty, juicy and everything you would want in a pleasurable meal, but it was heavy on the calories and filling. It was a messy meal, I added salsas, more seasoning from the condiments bar. There were so many different sauces and fillings like lemon etc. to balance the flavors of the birria. The console incuded was an added kick that I loved. Definitely one of the best if not the best birria I ever had and I highly recommend this place if you like Mexican cuisine at its finest. An absolute hidden treasure that you need to try! I'll come back after a month of consistent cardio and strength training to burn enough fat and make room for another appetite that soothes my brain cells.

The horchata was creamy and you could tell it was made in house. This place is delish, no notes.

I went there for lunch on a weekday, and I was pretty pleased with the service and food. The woman at the counter did speak English so that's always feels more comfortable, especially if you have any special requests. They have an open kitchen where they assemble orders, and the cook was rather friendly. I ordered a roasted pork burrito (I can't remember the name, but it's not carnitas). The meat was tender and tasted like it was slow cooked. The tortilla is not anything special, but all the fillings (rice, beans) were good. There is larger rice than beans ratio, but they give plenty of meat protein. I have been here several times in the past. I remember totally ratchet seating areas, where there were large holes in the floor. There seems to be some updates and the seating area is cleaned up (but I've only done takeout). They now also accept credit cards. For a low cost burrito, this is satisfying. Most burritos are ~ 10.
