We had such a fun afternoon at my first archery experience. We got a couple of groupons for the four of us, including a quick intro lesson and an hour of practice. I thought the staff was great and knowledgable and was able to handle a range of beginner levels. I appreciate that our instructor offered some tips throughout the session. The one small critique I have is the lanes are pretty tight and I wish there was just a little more breathing room between users. Besides that we had a great time and would definitely go back.

Overall, it was a cool, fun, new experience for someone whose never tried to shoot some arrows before. What you get? You get a very brief safety introduction, your bow, Quil, arm and finger guards, and 6 arrows. Then about 55 minutes to fire as many arrows as you can. That said, the people who were there didn't do much in terms of show you how to load your arrow, aim, and fire. They kind of just left you to figure it out all on your own. Truth is while they [the Archery staff] were all gabbing away, loudly I might add, the seemingly seasoned guy who just happened to be practicing with his very complex looking crossbow offered more tips to help us out. Nevertheless, if you're looking for something different and unique, give it a shot (literally). But don't expect some enlightening help or advice from the staff while you're there.

I bought my husband an hour of archery for his birthday and wow a fun time. I really did not know what to expect. My expectations were low. I feel in love. I look forward to partaking in this again.

I will always have great things to say about Pacifica Archery. The guys working there know their stuff, are not afraid to share their wisdom and knowledge when it comes to getting the holes in paper closer together, and they're just plain awesome! Their Christmas party was extremely fun, it made being a customer feel like family. Don't have enough great things to say about this place!!!

This was on my bucket list and I had bought a Groupon years back that has expired. I didn't use it this time but I was informed by Eric that I can use it next time. Staff: Eric was awesome. I had left a message prior to booking online and he called and returned my call. Was very friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival his other colleagues were very welcoming. Facility: clean and very organized. It also looks like they're very well stocked with all supplies if you chose to purchase your own Jow and arrow, etc. Price: I think they're successful because their prices are pretty reasonable. If you see them on Groupon definitely take advantage of it. It's worth it. Eric was our instructor and he was very helpful. He gave us detailed info and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. We were fortunate we were the only ones there so we had the place to ourselves . We will definitely be going back. Masks are required. Thank you, Eric! We enjoyed our first time and can now check it of my bucket list.

A fun and super chill group activity! The tutorial is fast and informative and with helpful tips from Chris, we improved rather quickly within the halfish hour we had to shoot. Equipment and targets are arranged based on height. And although the range feels somewhat small (half the venue is a shop), it can accommodate ~15people (?) and usually two people to a target. It can get a bit slow paced since you have to wait for everyone to finish firing their bows before retrieving it, but we were able to get a good number of rounds in. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Great location...not enough parking spots, but never been out of luck with finding one. I purchased a groupon back in November of 2019 that was expiring in February of 2020, so on the absolute last weekend of its availability, I used them. It was Darian's first time at an indoor range, but we had previously gone to an outdoor one with a close friend who did a great job of teaching him the basics. So instead of us using the groupon, we gifted it to two of our other friends who have never done archery before. We watched them take their beginner's lessons while getting to shoot. The lanes are a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but the whole store front is quite big. They sell a lot of different equipment and high in inventory. Checking in process was easy, and those who were working at the time doubled up as the cashiers and instructors. Friendly, informative, and personable. Hope they are doing well amidst the pandemic. I totally recommend (if open) to come through to Pacifica Archery whether it's your first time or are just looking to practice.

The staff are all amazing, and they are very passionate and knowledgeable, so you're never left feeling like you're at it alone, should you need more help and teaching. We came in on a Sunday morning for their 10AM outreach class that went over safety information, instructions on how to hold a bow and positioning of your body, and types of commands, to listen to, that are given out when you're on the range. I believe our instructor's name was Jack, and he was so informative and patient with us. After spending 30 minutes with him, we were fitted for our gear, and led to the range to begin practicing. If you are unsure or your form needs some adjustments, the staff members are always nearby or behind observing everyone. This range has walkable trails that are available to members, but their practicing range gives you a taste of how well-kept the site is. They do have outhouses for restrooms, and parking is free. We were able to enjoy our morning out for just $5 - SCORE! Their website provides ample amount of information regarding hours of operation, outreach program info, and upcoming events at the range. Will be returning soon, and hopefully have the chance to walk their trail ranges in the near future!

Wow, an archery field in the middle of the Golden Gate Park. Who knew?…read more Recently came here for a beginner archery session with a *socially distanced* group. One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that people are exploring all kinds of interests they've never considered before. I, for once, had never tried archery so I thought I'd give it a go. So glad I did! It was such a cool sport/activity. We rented bow and arrows and a target from a nearby shop and did practice sessions here for a couple of hours. The archery field is nicely maintained and is free to the public. It was quite busy when we came on a Saturday afternoon. All the lanes were full. However, people were courteous and all patiently waited for a lane to open. Although I was very bad at it, I felt super cool shooting arrows like I was in the Hunger Games movie or something. I'd totally come back and do it again. Highly recommend!

Sunday morning, with the lanes full, there's a complete lunatic cosplaying with a horse bow and headphones, rapid shooting from waist level, from distances farther and farther back from the bale on the lane next to us. Then we notice he's actually moved off the field, behind the pedestrian walkway, and has climbed the hill behind the range to continue shooting. He's just spraying arrows, not hitting the bale, from easily 130 yards, with plenty of humans standing in the cone of fire of a casual error. This is insanely unsafe behavior. When everyone's well behaved, I'm sure GGP is fine. I just haven't seen that in a long time.
