I tried archery here for the first time and had such a fun experience! Booked a surprise archery lesson with Gabi. She was super patient and great at explaining the importance of the safety features and proper posture of archery. The staff overall were super welcoming and took the time to walk us through the basics, which made it really beginner-friendly. They explained safety, helped adjust the equipment, and gave helpful tips on how to improve our aim. The range itself was clean, organized, and well set up, which made the whole experience feel comfortable even for someone who's never done archery before. It was more about grouping the arrows versus trying to hit the bullseye. Definitely a great activity if you're looking for something different to do with friends or family. This was my first time ever shooting a bow and arrow, and I received this class as a gift. The experience was fun overall, but as a beginner it would have been helpful if the instructor asked about prior experience and provided a bit more guidance with the equipment. The class was small, which was a big plus and allowed for more personal practice time. Instruction was okay once it got going, and I appreciated having time to learn at my own pace. Service could be better. Went there with two other people but they only had two targets set up. Two of us were expected to share a target. Share a target after paying full price for three people? We were the only ones there. After a few minutes i complained and they set up another target to total three. Make sure they don't cheat out of your own target. read more

This is such a great, well-run, reasonably priced, family own and family run archery range and school! My husband and I took lessons here years ago, and they were so patient and helpful. Later on, we bought our bows, custom arrows, and custom bow case here. We still come here to rent lanes for practice and to bring friends for lessons. I actually just came from the archery store about 10 minutes ago. We had a great experience shooting archery but damn they needa hire people with social skills. The Filipino guy with the long hair was super off to us. We were waiting for our turn to shoot the arrows and walked around for a bit, we sat down started a chat up with him, he scuffed at us for every small talk we gave , maybe he having a bad day lol. Then we started our lesson and we noticed he was helping others and being more open to them yet more stand offish to us. Awesome first experience with this shop. I'm an older guy, first time into archery, and brought my fairly new compound bow for tuning and to check my setup. Chris was patient and accommodating, and even though I didn't buy my bow from him, I felt as if I was his top customer. The service was priced extremely fair, and he didn't try to stack any unneeded service onto the visit. I wish I knew of this store and archery range years ago, as I would've brought our kids here for lessons. Now I know how some scouts shot better than others at summer camp! Chris also quickly took care of another customer with a service drop off, showing me he didn't want her to wait unnecessarily. Terrible first experience. We paid extra for instruction and were assigned to Gabby (employee with facial piercings). She was cold, unfriendly, and made us feel like we weren't welcome -- even though we were the only customers in the range. Her negative attitude made it uncomfortable to ask safety questions, which is the whole reason we paid for guidance in the first place. For the amount of money charged, the lack of professionalism was unacceptable. This ruined the experience for me and my group. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

We had such a fun afternoon at my first archery experience. We got a couple of groupons for the four of us, including a quick intro lesson and an hour of practice. I thought the staff was great and knowledgable and was able to handle a range of beginner levels. I appreciate that our instructor offered some tips throughout the session. The one small critique I have is the lanes are pretty tight and I wish there was just a little more breathing room between users. It's been 30 years since I touched a bow, so I was a little anxious and excited to visit Pacifica Archery. I reserved a lane online with ease, which includes a brief tutorial. The location is conveniently located just off of 280, parking is pretty easy. When I arrived, I was punctually ushered to the archery lanes, and provided the hand grip, bow, arrows and quiver. The gal helped me remember all the ins and outs and coached me through a few arrows until she knew I was comfortable, and then she went back to the front desk (which has full view of the lanes) and I was off! There's convenient little cubbies to store your stuff just next to the lanes. The lanes are indoors, close but not TOO close, and backed by a sturdy amount of barriers for even the most erratic shot... and being the only one there, the field was mine! But of course I stuck to my designated target. A small group joined me and we all had a good laugh as we attempted to find our inner Robin Hood / Princess Merida (Brave). It was a lot of fun and I would recommend for solo or for groups! The staff were super helpful and very knowledgeable about all things archery. They have a beautiful selection and do repairs as well. Lastly - wear tight fitting clothes and a strong waistband/belt you can attach your quiver to! Find your inner archer as soon as you can! read more

Decided to come here to get back into archery. It's been more than 12 years. Chris helped me out and I was able to pick up a good recurve bow. Bought 2, one for me and one for my son. Chris picked out a bow for him with an appropriate draw weight. He showed him the basics. He's better than me compared to when I first started, haha. I WAS going to get 3 bows, but my daughter said no. If I decide to get a compound bow or need arrows and supplies, I'm coming back here. read more

Quick lesson and great tips from our teacher, she caught that I was over-tensing my shoulder and left arm! Super fun, used a Groupon voucher, they were very accommodating with needing to reschedule many times, and I liked that they left us too it once we knew the basics and wouldn't hurt anyone/were safe. They also let us replace our target when it got chewed up. Super friendly staff, friendly clientele as well. Great safety culture. Distance options for archery. Seems like a great consistent place to go, nothing flashy, just archery! read more

Overall, it was a cool, fun, new experience for someone whose never tried to shoot some arrows before. What you get? You get a very brief safety introduction, your bow, Quil, arm and finger guards, and 6 arrows. Then about 55 minutes to fire as many arrows as you can. That said, the people who were there didn't do much in terms of show you how to load your arrow, aim, and fire. They kind of just left you to figure it out all on your own. Truth is while they [the Archery staff] were all gabbing away, loudly I might add, the seemingly seasoned guy who just happened to be practicing with his very complex looking crossbow offered more tips to help us out. Nevertheless, if you're looking for something different and unique, give it a shot (literally). But don't expect some enlightening help or advice from the staff while you're there. read more

I had left a message prior to booking online and he called and returned my call. Was very friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival his other colleagues were very welcoming. Facility: clean and very organized. It also looks like they're very well stocked with all supplies if you chose to purchase your own Jow and arrow, etc. Price: I think they're successful because their prices are pretty reasonable. If you see them on Groupon definitely take advantage of it. It's worth it. Eric was our instructor and he was very helpful. He gave us detailed info and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. Happy 20th anniversary Pacifica Archery:) My friend told me we were going to an archery class 15 minutes beforehand. I had no time to research or prepare. Talk about spontaneous, it was so fun! I had no prior experience and believe I have bad hand eye coordination, but the teachers here made it so simple and easy to follow. We had a one hour class, and they taught us everything starting with form and posture, to how to hold the bow and arrow, and how to aim. At the end of class we had free time to just shoot around. I did better than I thought I would thanks to their expert adjustments and constructive criticism. If you're on the fence about coming, I totally recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying it out. Take that pent up anger and aim it at the target! A fun and super chill group activity! The tutorial is fast and informative and with helpful tips from Chris, we improved rather quickly within the halfish hour we had to shoot. Equipment and targets are arranged based on height. And although the range feels somewhat small (half the venue is a shop), it can accommodate ~15people (?) and usually two people to a target. It can get a bit slow paced since you have to wait for everyone to finish firing their bows before retrieving it, but we were able to get a good number of rounds in. Great location...not enough parking spots, but never been out of luck with finding one. I purchased a groupon back in November of 2019 that was expiring in February of 2020, so on the absolute last weekend of its availability, I used them. It was Darian's first time at an indoor range, but we had previously gone to an outdoor one with a close friend who did a great job of teaching him the basics. So instead of us using the groupon, we gifted it to two of our other friends who have never done archery before. We watched them take their beginner's lessons while getting to shoot. The lanes are a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but the whole store front is quite big. They sell a lot of different equipment and high in inventory. Checking in process was easy, and those who were working at the time doubled up as the cashiers and instructors. Friendly, informative, and personable. Hope they are doing well amidst the pandemic. I totally recommend (if open) to come through to Pacifica Archery whether it's your first time or are just looking to practice. read more

Rude and horrid customer service. The guy behind the counter chastised me because I arrived 2 minutes before an archery lesson when he told me on the phone to be "10 minutes early." IF THE TO START IS TEN MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED START TIME, CHANGE THE START TIME! More recently, in-store shopping is by appointment only and "walk-ins" have to call to request to come in. The guy who answered was rude, brief and provided single word answers. No information. No social skills They know they have a monopoly on full-range archery stores in the whole area and believe they can be as rude as they please because of it. read more

It's really the only indoor archery range in the area, and thankfully the service is good and the facilities are clean and organized. Good place to hangout with a few friends and shoot some arrows. Make sure to make your reservation a few days or a week beforehand because it fills up quick. They have a good collection of gears for sale and offer repair services on bows as well. I haven't tried those out yet, but from what I've seen they do a solid job. read more

Great for all levels of archers! I am a total beginner and got to take one of their courses. The instructors are super knowledgeable in all things technique and safety prior to when you're out at your lane shooting. You get about 7-8 arrows and after everyone is done shooting, the instructor will announce "clear" so that everyone can pick up their arrows. What I also like about this location is that the instructors will give you feedback on your technique so that you're able to shoot at the target. For a lesson, with lane and equipment included, it's only $60 and they have a generous cancellation policy of 24 hours before your lesson time. They were also very accommodating when I had to move my reservation. All orders were taken over the phone. Pacifica Archery also sells bows, arrows, and other equipment. As a side note, they do not do any crossbow lessons. read more

Got a few things to get me started at this store. If you need something the day-off it's a good place to go. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to recommend them for anything else. Their lessons are sub-par and way over priced for what is supposedly an advance lesson... And if it is your first lesson they charge you and extra $100 to "setup" your equipment for you. Whether it is to simply string your bow for you or tune your arrows to your bow, it's the same $100 charge. Hence your lesson ends up being $180. At any archery club in the Bay Area, you get the same or better for $45. Most online stores tune your equipment to you for free. The really sad thing is you want to support these brick and mortar shops, especially family owned ones, but they don't seem to understand they need to step up their game to compete. At least much better service, both sales and especially after sales would be nice. If you can't compete with online stores both in price and selection. The least you can do is provide excellent service, but sadly that is not the case here... And okay, just isn't good enough in today's market. read more

Groupon deal was worth $80 for 2, which includes lesson, rentals, and shooting all for one hour. $80 for one hour is pretty steep, so I wouldn't have ever tried it if it weren't for the groupon deal that was half off, $40 for 2! For the steep original price, it loses one star. But the experience itself was great. Good teachers, except I didn't take their advice of looking at the dot below the circle but rather just below the target. I think it's different with each person. Just learn the form from the teachers, but use your own technique to aim! I want to come back!! read more

I used to do archery way back in Junior High and I had always wanted to take it up again. So on a stormy night while my friend and I were in the area, this place had good reviews on Yelp so we decided to go. It was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be an awesome experience! They let us do a walk in lesson on the spot since it wasn't busy for a Sunday night and Leo was an awesome instructor....
