Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I asked about using the hitting bays to demo clubs, and a nice young lady got me set up and even said she would build clubs with shafts to my specs to try! Wasn't expecting that level of service. Unfortunately, she had to excuse herself and another gentleman took over who wasn't as accommodating in offering to build to my specs. Got to demo three of the hottest new drivers and 3 woods with no sales pressure in their state of the art golf simulators. Although, I didn't buy, I was impressed with the service and selection. Then I began walking around the store and saw they have a Trackman practice area that people can sign up for as regulars and a good amount of clothing and accessories with many popular retail brands (Nike, Adidas, etc) and lesser known but quality looking apparel on sale for reasonable ($50 and under, not $100-150 on sale) prices. As a regular shopper at the Golf Mart Superstore in South City/San Bruno, I would day this store is nicer but doesn't have as many used clubs, esp. from top brands like Taylormade, Callaway, Ping, etc., to choose from. As an avid golfer interested in improving my game, I will be back soon to try out more of the latest equipment or perhaps take advantage of their practice program or free fitting service, too!!

Jeff Laureta was AMAZING to work with. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. Titleist and TaylorMade were running a promotion of buy 3 and the fourth would be free. I asked the clerk if it was still active. He said yes, but only if I order online. They then would have to pull it from stock and stack it on will call rack. Asked, since I am here now, can I pull it and he ring it. Said was against store policy. Asked if he could check with manager, he did and manager refused to change policy. He was apologetic, but didn't want to lose his job. This was not an outlandish ask, the store wasn't busy and required no effort from the staff. They watched $400 walk out the door. Their management is dumb as rocks. Went to Golf Galaxy and they had no problem with the 3 for 1 at the counter. Will address with corporate as we really want to shop here but not with current management team that is not customer centric.

No recommendations on shafts, weights, or adjustments, and when I asked what he suggested, he literally told me to "just let the club figure it out." That's not what a fitting is supposed to be. I had to keep asking questions just to get the most basic answers, and even then I got more useful advice from the friend I brought with me than from the actual fitter. I ended up buying a set of clubs, but I walked out feeling unsure if I even got the right setup. For such an expensive purchase, that's unacceptable. If you're expecting professional guidance and expertise, don't waste your time here. Nothing personal against the guy as he was a nice person. I just spoke with a buddy about my experience and he was shocked because he just got fitted at club champion and they did so many other things to help him select the best setup.

He made the entire process easy and stress-free -- I never once felt like I was an inconvenience, which says a lot about his professionalism and customer-first attitude. After receiving my store credit, Adam mentioned that they had just received the new TM Qi4D drivers for demo and preorder. That was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. I headed to the demo bay where Eugene and Jacob took great care of me. Both were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. There was absolutely no pressure to buy -- just genuine, helpful fitting advice. I ended up pre-ordering the core model, and Jacob also helped me dial in the right LAB putter afterward. This store consistently makes me feel welcomed, and the customer service is always phenomenal. I was asked to show my membership via the app, which I did. I asked why nobody ever asked me or brought up the NCGA discount upon my last dozen purchases. He told me that it is detailed in the emails I receive. I'm going to say that PGA Super Store employees are discouraged from asking people if they are part of the rewards program and have an NCGA membership so they don't have to give the discount.
