I would come back to Newport just for the ahi poke bowl. My fiance got the dungeness crab mac and cheese and it was without a doubt THE BEST mac and cheese we've ever had. We are Mac and cheese connoisseurs so that says a lot. The sauce was so perfect and the crab was very generous. To top it all off I thought the post cards at the end were very sweet. I came to Newport when I was a child (maybe 7 years old) and I had lots of old memories that I relived on my trip. I sent one to my mom. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. Lastly, the dessert, again a staple when at Georgie's the Marionberry cobbler changed from previous offerings. Overall, Georgie's has a special place, however, the changes concern the level of quality menu items. I hope this feedback helps as Georgie's has been a gem for years and one of a kind on the coast. it would be very disappointing to see a downward level of food quality and service. It was my 2nd Mo's exprience because the first one was in Cannon Beach. I worked at the hotel right next to it. I remember good food and chowder. I brought my daughter and niece here for lunch. They are students at the university in Eugene. I wanted them to experience the original Mo's and have some good food. The chowder is good. We all ate it up. I had fish tacos. It came with 3 big tacos, so come hungry. We also ordered a side of onion rings. I have to say that it was probably one of the better ones we've had in a long while. We really enjoyed our visit here and the waitress we had was awesome. She was super busy because she was also waiting on a big party but she never forgot to check on us.
