We had lunch here today. It included the signature popcorn shrimp which is a local favorite. My friend had the Bourbon Peach prawn salad, with peach vinaigrette dressing. Both dishes were outstanding! Service was fantastic. Attentive, quick and friendly! The ambiance is quintessential Oregon coastal vibes. Can't wait to eat here again!

Hidden gem! My top favorite restaurant in the historic bayfront district. Home made freshness and perfectly cooked food!

Great halibut fish and chips, incredible prawn tacos! Super delicious food. A little pricey and service was just okay but we enjoyed our lunch here! The coleslaw was kinda brown... we didn't eat it. Otherwise it was great

On the boardwalk. Pretty small inside with some outside seating. Staff was friendly. Food was very good! Highly recommend Ordered Crab cake sandwich: husband said maybe the best crab cake he's had Fish and chips: the breading of the fish was perfect. Crispy but not heavy

I wanted to eat fresh cooked Dungeness crab, but Chelsea Rose only had fresh Dungeness crab, and Gino's offered Crab on their menu, so off we went to check them out! After sitting down and ordering found out they were out of stock on Dungeness crab , so since we were there we might as well eat! I ordered fresh Oysters on a half shell and the waiter made the mistake on also inputting oysters shooters which both were very fresh clean and tasty! The crab cakes were made with Dungeness crab meat and it was delicious and full of crab and not overly made with fillers. The clam chowder was okay, but a little heavy and thick, but taste was great and served with oyster crackers. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, the staff were very friendly and informative! Restroom was clean, right across the restaurant was the pier and Riley's Believe it or not Museum. Conveniently located lots of seafood processing plants nearby. But no Seafood markets near by.

Me: Can I just get a beer and sit outside? Friendly staff: is your wife in the shop next door? Me: Staff: Yeah, we get that a lot

Just a beer on the patio. Food looks great. Staff are super nice. Would love to revisit!

Located in the middle of the historic waterfront. Outdoor seating ~ sidewalk tables for two or picnic tables on the side. Pup friendly. As printed on the menu, most but not all seafood is caught locally. The usual fried selection. Portions are smaller with prices a bit higher. The Crew Share might sound like a lot but it is really small in quantity. Local beer. Service eh. A fun stop along the Newport boardwalk.

don't be fooled by the underwhelming physical appearance, Gino's is a great stop while visiting the bay front! they have solid food options both seafood and non-seafood. we tried the coconut prawns and as someone who isn't a seafood eater, even i liked it! service was good, nothing to write home about but overall it was a lovely experience with no complaints.

Very good food! We were very happy with our food choices. The popcorn shrimp, tacos, fish and chips were incredible. Highly recommend.

Wow, I usually don't write reviews of places, but I have to say I stopped here on a trip up the coast...I guess it seems like you just have to get clam chowder. The thing about clam chowder is I don't really ever order it...it just isn't a thing where I'm at except for Campbell's soup cans... But the clam chowder at this place blew me away it was soooo good and I got some to go and the family thinks it's amazing too. Also had the Po Boy Sandwich with prawn and the prawns were perfectly cooked. The servers were A LITTLE slow but very apologetic about it and very nice, seemed mature for their age given most of the servers looked very young. Really great little spot, will definitely go again someday.

"Marco" was a waiter Extroidinare! Service was fast, staff friendly, clean table and eclectic coastal surroundings. Menu had so many good things to try, we went with rock cod fish & chips, popcorn shrimp appetizer and rock cod tacos. The food was scrumptious, the fries were thick crisp potato skins. I highly recommend

Nate 2026 Newport, Oregon…read more Came here based on recommendations from somebody in Bend, Oregon, and a local. I will start by saying I was not impressed. We had a reservation and they took us in a few minutes early and sat us upstairs. We sat near the window that overlooks the harbor and could see it from our table. Very pretty. There is a bar area and other tables that are away from the window that don't have the same view. When we were approached by the waitress, she informed us that they were out of Dungeness crab. Our reservation was at 6:15 PM. Seems a bit odd that a town known for Dungeness crab and the restaurant doesn't have it during peak dinner hours. My husband ordered a cup of clam chowder, and I ordered a cup of the Dungeness crab soup. I loved the creaminess of my soup. However, it was not served hot. Also, there were so many shells in my soup that every bite I had to remove one from my mouth. I do believe that the roux sauce had too much flour and was not mixed well. The clam chowder was not creamy, but had a good flavor. Chunks of carrot and celery. Both soups were served with a portion of bread. The bread was good. We shared the salmon dish. We asked our waitress if we could have the peas on the side as my husband has an allergy to peas. She was quick to tell me that there would be no substitutions. I informed her I was merely asking for the peas to put on a separate dish when brought to the table. She said that she would need to clear it with the kitchen first. Apparently, they approved, as the peas were served on the side. We did enjoy the salmon. It is cooked, medium rare. However, the middle of the salmon fillet was more rare. The buttery sauce was delicious and the asparagus was cooked very well. The mushrooms were delicious. The restaurant is very casual. The outside is not much to look at. The service was fine, but not exceptional. The food was good, but my expectations were so much higher for all of the accolades I had heard prior to dining. They add an automatic tip of 20% to every tab. Then on the bill, they politely ask for an additional gratuity. See the picture of the reason for their 20% gratuity on each bill in the photos that I have attached. I would give this restaurant four stars. It is a B rating for what should be an A restaurant.

People who came without a reservation were told that there's about an hour wait or they could sit at the bar level on the first floor. There's also a second bar on the second floor where the main dining room is up a flight of stairs. Service was great and we were lucky enough to sit by the window overlooking the sea lions, the water, and the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Food wise, it was mostly 5 star. I'll start with the thing that wasn't, and that was the deviled eggs (you get 3) with a lightly fried shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked, lukewarm, and didn't really add anything. But other than that, everything else was really good. The highlight was the Umpqua oysters on the half shell. We went through a dozen and a half. The oysters are sweeter, no briny. They're not huge but not tiny either like Kusshi oysters. It came with 3 different sauces. Another highlight was the whole dungenous crab...so fresh. Poke salad, garlic brussel sprouts, Yellowtail Hamachi, and Lingcod were also pretty good. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely return.

It was a thicker clam chowder, but it was absolutely delicious. Creamy, and they were generous with the ingredients. A very good bowl of chowder. For my main course, I had the combination halibut, king Salmon, and tuna. They were very generous with the portions. The fish was delicious. The halibut and the salmon were tender and juicy. The tuna was just a tiny bit chewier, but it was also very good. The fish was lightly breaded, although a few of the pieces. Were a bit darker than the others. That took away from it just a tiny tiny bit. But overall, successful. The tartar sauce was very good, rich and tangy. Instead of the fries, I finished with the coleslaw. It was not overdressed, and I liked the dressing. It was a sweeter dressing than your standard mayonnaise, but not overly sweet. It was an excellent coleslaw. For all of the quality food I got, the price was very reasonable. I would come back the next time. I'm in town. Thank you!
