We stayed at the newly renovated AllRed hotel. The food and drinks were very reasonably priced and the dinning room was spacious and inviting. It over looks the ocean and plenty of places to sit and enjoy our meal. We chose to sit upstairs. They have beautiful booths and larger sitting areas for bigger groups. We ordered quite a bit of food. All the food we ordered we truly enjoyed. Everything tasted great. The food presentation was also on point. They have a variety of dishes to choose from and there is something for everyone. Food can out in a timely manner. No complaints from the kitchen. Now, for the service..... Our server was very nice and friendly. I have no complaints about her. She was doing a good job. However, it took the bar 60 minutes to bring out our alcohol drinks. We weren't even given waters. So all our food came out but we had nothing to drink! The kids got all their drinks but not the adults. We went to order a second round and that took 40 minutes! The restaurant was empty as it was closing time. I was truly disappointed with this. Not sure why it took so long. Maybe they were short staffed and not given enough coverage? I think they should have more bartenders. Other than that it was enjoyable. I would definitely come back.

    Seafood chimichanga small but delicious!

The server (Spring) was fast and amazing and good. Great setting too. The drink was great as well. The dinner, the seafood chimichanga was amazing tasting, but a very small portion. I'd think it'd be about 1.5 times that size. The great taste helped though. Dessert: the Apple slices with ice cream was a 10/10 easily! Would go back to try the tacos for sure.

Everything about it here is amazing! The food, the atmosphere, the staff. They're all so kind! We got the the Deviled Egg Flight, Avocado Fries, Green Chile Enchiladas and the Mushroom Chicken Fricassee. We ate every single bite of it! The views are beautiful and just a walk to the beach. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu!

What a beautiful looking bar and restaurant. Service was fine and a bit slow. Everyone was nice. We got the crab ravioli and I liked it. My drink was excellent. The avocado fries were mushy on the inside which is what I thought it would be like, but my husband wanted to try them. The Brusell Sprouts had good flavor, but were not cut properly They had the hard end left on. I always cut that part off when I cook them. It was unpleasant to bite into. Also they were not cooked through and could have used 5-8 more mins of cook time. The french fries were good. The halibut I liked but was a bit dry and overcooked. Great ideas and good food recipes, maybe they just need to work on the execution. Except for the avocado fries, they are just not a good texture due to avocado being so soft and do not think they can be improved. We went here for espresso as well in the am. The machine was broken. So that was dissapointing.

Nice place to have a drink and small bites with the ocean view. We had dinner and dessert. Everything tastes great.

Best view on the coast, great food. And "Newport" who knew?

The server acknowledged the birthday as soon as we sat down and she was very pleasant. The food was excellent and they served a complimentary dessert with a sparkler for my son. Our reservation was on the later side but it was still busy and people were still being seated when we finished up. I recommend making a reservation and ask for a table by the window so you can see the sea lions. Highly recommended.

People who came without a reservation were told that there's about an hour wait or they could sit at the bar level on the first floor. There's also a second bar on the second floor where the main dining room is up a flight of stairs. Service was great and we were lucky enough to sit by the window overlooking the sea lions, the water, and the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Food wise, it was mostly 5 star. I'll start with the thing that wasn't, and that was the deviled eggs (you get 3) with a lightly fried shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked, lukewarm, and didn't really add anything. But other than that, everything else was really good. The highlight was the Umpqua oysters on the half shell. We went through a dozen and a half. The oysters are sweeter, no briny. They're not huge but not tiny either like Kusshi oysters. It came with 3 different sauces. Another highlight was the whole dungenous crab...so fresh. Poke salad, garlic brussel sprouts, Yellowtail Hamachi, and Lingcod were also pretty good. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely return.

The bartender on swing has absolutely zero service skills and even less of a personality. She took care of the people already at the bar as I waited patiently and when she was good and ready, she walked over and just stood there and looked at me. No hello, can I get you anything, and never acknowledged me as I was standing there waiting for her to take care of other customers which is just simple customer service. Gave my son an attitude while looking at his ID, acted like she was just bothered by us as obviously we are not familiar faces. But on our way back home to Las Vegas where we are Both in the service industry. I've been going since I was barely old enough to get in. So many nights there, it practically feels like part of my coming-of-age story. I recently lost my mom, and while staying in Nye Beach last week, I wanted to revisit some of those old memories. I ordered a double, played some video poker, took a walk down to the beach to breathe and reflect. Pretty harmless stuff, right? Came back, sat down, asked for a second drink... and the bartender--a young woman with the warmth of a DMV rejection letter--looked at me like I'd just kicked her dog, she muttered: "I'll give you a water." No explanation. No kindness. No "hey, we're cutting off for your safety" or "just trying to keep it mellow tonight." Just attitude. Straight-up condescension. I wasn't stumbling, slurring, or being disruptive. I was grieving. Quietly. Respectfully. Alone. Who is this angry gatekeeper of the Sandbar? If you don't want to serve locals or folks looking for some nostalgia, just hang a sign that says "No Heartfelt Moments Allowed." I came for some peace. Instead, I got judged and shut down by someone who clearly hates her job, or maybe just hates people. Either way, this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth--and it wasn't from the drink. Because apparently, I wasn't even allowed one. I won't be coming back, however I'll be telling everyone I know that the Sandbar, I spot I once loved is now a place where empathy goes to die.

I've eaten in quite a few places on the west coast that claim to serve Irish food and I have always been unsatisfied with the authenticity. So I was very surprised and impressed with the food served at Nana's. My experience started with the ambiance. It truly had the feel of a real Irish Pub. This was followed by the hospitality. Our server was amazing. She had great menu suggestions for the people who were eating with us. They have eaten a wide variety of Irish food. She made an excellent selection as to the Irish beer that would best suit my palate. They have several Irish beers on tap. I chose the Smithwicks Red Ale. It was delicious and very enjoyable. Now for the food. Many years ago I enjoyed Steak & Stout Pie in a Dublin Ireland pub. It was really good. I've had it in several locations here back home but it just wasn't the same. So when I spotted the Steak & Guinness pie it peaked my interest and I ordered it. Well I definitely was not disappointed. More so it was like reliving an old pleasant memory. The Steak & Guinness pie was spot on. Every bit as enjoyable as the one I tried in Dublin. I very highly recommend trying this establishment if you're traveling to or through Newport. You will not regret enjoying the food and the experience.

The steamer clams came out with a side of bread and butter. The steamer clams were fresh and the bread and butter were warm. We loved them together. Next came our main dishes of the night. My husband scooped some of his cioppino for me and I scooped some of the gumbo for him to taste. They were both very good. The gumbo has a touch of spice to it, not too spicy but just enough to elevate the seafood in it. Every bite was filled with seafood, rather its pink shrimp, shrimp, fish, clams, crab or oysters. My husband's cioppino was also filled with a similar seafood theme as well. Both were delectable. My husband said he wishes he would have ordered the cioppino with the noodles. That will be better in his opinion. The restaurant was decorated in a nice ocean theme, with pictures of Keiko, the former Killer Whale residence at the local aquarium. It was a fun vibe. Not long after we got our main dishes, the restaurant was packed of customers and had a line out of the door.
