Eggs, sausage and garlic potatoes side
Corran C.

Decided to visit on a trip to the Emerald Island casino as it is just a small walk away it is a nice local diner with an interior larger than I would have originally expected. I arrived around lunch time there was only a couple other patrons and I was welcomed in by the staff. The server was very attentive if not a bit over attentive consistently checking if I needed anything or wanted more coffee which meant I had as much coffee as I wanted and I had a lot since it is pretty tasty. As for the food itself I ordered a stack of the banana walnut pancakes with strawberries & whipped cream and in a combo with eggs, sausage and garlic potatoes. The food was good I enjoyed the garlic potatoes a lot and the pancakes were also decent however not much of a banana flavor was to be found unfortunately. I did walk away satisfied with my meal and not finishing all of it due to the large portion of the pancakes the only real sticking point was the cost prior to tip being close to $28 which is a bit much for breakfast although I ordered one of the pricier items but making coffee or any other drink $4 is pricey compared to similar breakfast/brunch establishments. As compared to the emerald island grille which I view as the closest competitor pacific diner is better in quality their coffee alone is way better than anything at Emerald however the cost is much higher especially for most breakfast items where the cost is double that of the same item at Emerald. Overall I would recommend trying this place out and I will return to try some of the other menu items I am interested in.

The first photo is my burnt food it a ham and cheese omelette

I would really only recommend this please to the older folks it gives up a very grandma and grandpa restaurant. The service is good The girls are very, very nice. They sent us down for us and then we got our food pretty fast. BUT when I got the food it was burnt the hashbrowns, my eggs even the bottom pieces of my toast my husband food wasn't. As I like to say it's not how it look it's how it taste but I'm sorry to say the taste just wasn't there The more restaurants I go to it just seemed the chef does not take pride in the food that they cook anymore because how are you going to serve one person with non-burnt food and the other person with burnt food and think you're proud of the food that you just served to your paying customers. Just stop and think to yourself is this food you will be happy to send out to your mom? Stop the complaint/the bad reviews before it happens

Hi, I walked in immediately greeted. They sat me down and waitress was very friendly and prompt. I had the 2 egg breakfast not much but still yummy! Love the ambiance and decor . Very peaceful as well! Love it . I'll be back again for sure! Love the old school feel too! :)

Came in for breakfast with a day spent hanging out with my parents. It wasn't busy on this Friday morning but it wasn't empty either. There were a good amount of people dining in. The restaurant is cute and pretty clean, so it was nice to be inside. I will say I wasn't a huge fan of the lighting but not every place can have big ole windows for natural light. This actually gave the place a midwestern-y feel, like diners in Kansas. Our server was great. She checked in on us a lot and gave us updates as to when stuff was coming out. She really made us feel at home and I appreciated that. The food was super good. My western omelet was one of the best I've had in a while, super cheesy and cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns tasted a little like old/burnt oil, but they were perfectly crispy. My dad got the steak and eggs and he let me have a little bite of steak. Excellent! The also seem to serve some really good quality breads with their meals.

Coffee on point!

Food, service, and ambiance was perfect! Food was delicious and homemade. Not greasy. Coffee did not disappoint. We are vacationing from Texas!

French Dip Sandwich with French Fries

Came in with party of 8 for lunch. Seating was quick and our server friendly. She brought our drinks quickly and then took our orders. I opted for the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. It's a huge burger patty and I took half home. Onion rings very crispy and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Our server checked on us frequently and brought drink refills quickly. It's a cute diner in old Henderson. Easy parking and clean inside. I'd like to come back for breakfast. Prices reasonable with large portions.

An all American diner starting with the display of US flags by the cashier as you enter. Seems like a good place for people in the neighborhood to meet or tourists like us passing through town. Food came out quickly, many refills for Doc's coffee. I enjoyed their French vanilla iced coffee. Loved the look of the pastrami sandwich on Rye with the dill pickle and onion rings so crispy and good.

Denver omelet and those great season potatoes are delicious!!!

Amazing food and especially the breakfast selection....can't go wrong with the first meal of the day. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Started the table with fresh brewed coffee and waters. I'm sure it gets busy as the later in the morning it gets. We got there 10 minutes to 8 and barely anyone was there- one customer and us plus the friendly staff. Food was quick and very enjoyable 15/10. We shared a chocolate chip pancake. I got French toast + a combo. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and extra crispy hash browns. Then my husband infamous biscuits and gravy, 8.5/10. It's a big open place that can accommodate seating if you get here early. We'll be coming back!

My husband and I wanted to try Pacific Diner as we've read a lot of recommendations on this restaurant. It's open for breakfast/brunch and lunch. There wasn't a wait, we were seated quickly in a booth. (We were asked if we wanted a booth or table). Upon perusing the menu and while drinking our coffee for me and Diet Pepsi for my husband, we decided it would be breakfast for us. I ordered the French toast breakfast and my husband ordered the two eggs breakfast with bacon, hash browns and white toast. Our waitress was awesome! She was funny and attentive. Our meals were delivered quickly and arrived hot. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed every bite. I recommend dining here. I took half my French toast home. I am happy we came here.

You'll leave here full!…read more A cute diner style restaurant! The banana bread is amazing here! The potatoes are heavenly and what keeps me dreaming of this place. I'd seen them on my gmaps and and Gemini inquiries and figured this should be a good relaxing, welcoming spot! Lesson learned: not all mom-n-pop diners are unconditionally welcoming mom-n-pop diners, lol! I walked in with my service dog, Boeba, and waited to be seated. The waitress led us to our booth--which happened to be the absolute last booth in the building, distanced by an empty booth from every other customer in the restaurant. As the only African American person in the establishment, being shoved into the far corner left me feeling completely compartmentalized, isolated, and hidden away. It was like the restaurant version of Dirt Dancing and I'm Baby...in the corner! People should never feel like shelved categories or be socially isolated when going out to eat. The entire seating arrangement felt entirely exclusionary, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming from the start. The waitress was functional and stoic, to say the least. When she took my order, I requested a cheddar and sausage omelette with sautéed mushrooms for myself, and a plain sausage and egg patty dish for Boeba. She informed me that he wasn't allowed to eat in the restaurant--and since you can't argue with company policies, his order was set to come in a to-go box. When she returned with my food and shortly after with Boeba's, I noticed she had made unrequested alterations to his meal. I hadn't asked for any changes, so I asked her to bring the actual meal I ordered for my service dog. Between the so-so customer service and the uncomfortable atmosphere, I felt like I shouldn't even be there. After eating just a few potato slices, I asked for another box to take my food go. She returned quicker with that to-go box than for any other request I made during the visit. Her efficiency to get me out spoke decibels and volumes. The warmest interaction of my entire visit was with an older gentleman sitting at the bar while I paid my check--he honestly should be their greetings trainer! Upon paying, I wasn't presented with the opportunity on the bill or terminal to leave a tip, so I handed him $3 cash (the service wasn't great, but I had to tip something!). He shook my hand, thanked me, and complimented Boeba for his trained demeanor. That single customer made my visit just a little bit better. The omelette was exceptional and Boeba loved his breakfast too, I will not be back. Great food does not excuse making a customer feel isolated, compartmentalized, and subjected to exclusionary treatment.

Sorry, Matt Brady... there may be a cocktail of the day named Duckin' Delicious, but there's no…read moreduck on the menu. At least that name is apropos. Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. If you live across town, it's actually drive-worthy for that lambwich alone.

We arrived at 11am, and while the vibe inside was lively and the decor was really cool (modern with Pink Duck vibes), we hit a bit of a snag right away. Despite seeing several empty tables, we were told there'd be about a 15-minute wait. Honestly, that was a little frustrating, especially when you're hungry and can clearly see open spots. We almost considered trying somewhere else, but decided to stick it out. And I'm so glad we did, because from the moment we were seated, the service was absolutely stellar! Our server, gave us great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally friendly and efficient, they really turned the initial annoyance around. The fusion dishes here aren't just creative for creativity's sake; they're genuinely well-executed and thoughtfully balanced. $15.99 Fried Chicken & Ube Waffle - This was my dish, loved it. $16.99 Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Carmelized "Banana Cue" We went family style on this and I would order again. $16.99 Pork Belly Burger $15.99 Breakfast Burrito Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and celebrated both Filipino and American culinary traditions without either overpowering the other. The creativity in combining these flavors was executed well. I'd definitely visit Pink Duck again to sample more interesting dishes I saw on the menu. Mabuhay!

Overall, the food was very good and the service once we were seated was also very good. My main…read moreissue was with the check-in and waitlist process. The restaurant was extremely busy, and it seemed like there were two different ways to check in--one in person and another online through Yelp. After checking in, we waited about 25 minutes before even making it to the front of the line, with only a party of about 10 ahead of us. Since we were only a party of two, we figured we would be fairly easy to seat. We checked with the hostess twice to make sure our name was on the waitlist. During that time, we watched several small parties of three or fewer get seated, including some we had seen check in after us. After about 15 more minutes standing near the host desk and seeing a third small party seated ahead of us, I asked to speak with a manager. Savanna, the manager, was clearly very busy and actively helping throughout the restaurant, but she still took the time to get us seated, listen to what happened, look into the issue, and then come back to update us. That extra follow-up wasn't necessary for me personally, but it showed a lot of professionalism and attention to customer service. She also mentioned using the situation as a "teaching moment," which I appreciated. My only real critique is that the restaurant may need a better way to merge the in-person and Yelp check-in systems so the waitlist feels consistent and fair. There was probably also an opportunity for the hostess to catch the issue after we checked with her multiple times. Despite the rough start, the food was excellent, the table service was great, and Savanna handled the situation very professionally. I would definitely give Broken Yolk another visit.

A Perfect Fall Breakfast!…read more Fall Croissant Sandwich A little messy to eat, but absolutely worth it! The first bite of the croissant is delightful -- buttery, soft, and perfectly crispy. The fluffy scrambled eggs are wrapped in creamy, savory cheese, while the maple-infused patty adds just the right touch of sweetness. And the pickled jalapeños? They bring everything together with a tangy little kick at the end. Such a delicious balance of flavors! Rustica Frittata Oh. My. God. This one was made for my taste buds! There's a delightful tanginess that lingers with every bite, followed by a subtle, comforting cheesiness that I absolutely love as a cheese lover. The combination of kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions makes the Rustica so flavorful and satisfying. Every ingredient works beautifully together. I could happily eat this again and again! Lemon Ricotta Pancakes A creative twist on ordinary pancakes! The lemon custard brings a refreshing, bright flavor that makes these pancakes feel like something entirely new. To make up for their lack of, well, anything good, we were given $40 worth of gift certificates. So, we returned a few months later. We ordered again. Service was better but it took forever for the food to arrive. And it still wasn't good. One would think a breakfast place could make eggs. Once again, we were comped. We tried to give back the $40 certificates but was told to try them again. We then gave the $40 away to friends. They tend to like saving money and frankly may not be as picky as we are. They tried the place and had difficulty using the $40. The freebees were ultimately accepted but even our friends were disappointed. I can't think of ANY reason to return. Go up the street to Eggworks instead and be happier with the food.
