I was really disappointed with my breakfast here. I ordered the Greek omelette, and when it arrived there was a large amount of black liquid seeping out of it. I'm assuming it came from the olives, but it looked incredibly unappetizing. I couldn't bring myself to eat it, so I asked for a replacement. I ordered the avocado toast instead, but unfortunately that wasn't any better. The bread wasn't actually toasted, the avocado looked and tasted more like a guacamole spread than fresh avocado, the poached eggs were undercooked, and there was an excessive amount of everything bagel seasoning that completely overwhelmed the dish. I appreciate that the staff replaced my first meal, but it was disappointing to have two dishes in a row miss the mark. After my son's 8th grade promotion, he chose BYC for brunch. Our current favorite brunch place. Always great service and atmosphere. I tried the no name omelette, extra crispy hashbrowns and sourdough toast. It was ok, next time I'm sticking with meat lovers omelette. The no name had a lot of bacon and it was kinda soggy. Went to Broken Yolk for Mother's Day's breakfast. Mom omelette over cooked egg with undercooked and no seasoning inside. Hash browns and blue berry muffin were delicious. 2 out of 5. Lemon ricotta pancakes poor presentation with small amount of blueberries. Ricotta not evident in the flavor. 3 out of 5 I would never order Nutella crapes but daughter rates it 5 out of 5. So my body was craving a specific thing today...cholesterol. Broken Yolk caters to that need in a variety of ways with a massive menu hitting all cuisines. On deck was a Chicken Fried Steak, 4 over easy eggs, and butter soaked sourdough toast, all the things a body needs. Couple that with a brunch-time vodka OJ and I'm set! My sidekick went with a healthier option of tomato soup, fruits/greens salad, and turkey BLT sandwich. All was great with food, no issues as it came out fast and hot. The restaurant, like with many of the other Broken Yolk locations around town was packed. This was at 1pm so I can't imagine the wait at say 9am or 10am. We found open seats at the bar so we were pleased and the service was warm and super fast. No complaints with the ambiance here as it has clean restrooms, a clean inside, and sports on at the bar. The parking here is another issue as it's tight since it shares the lot with several restaurants including fast food joints. All in all a winner at pretty cheap prices for the portions you receive. read more

We took our 21+ son here because they were offering a Star Wars mimosa float for SW Day weekend (Friday through Monday) and he's a crazy big fan. He's a spectrum kid and SW is one of his Big 3. They had the movies playing on their TV's and the staff were probably 50% in SW tees or other things. He ordered Tiki Toast, I got Ranchero Skillet, and wife got classic Avo Toast. Floats came first, we downed the blueberry and half the green apple before the food came. My meal was great. I enjoyed their sauce, the chorizo was good not super greasy like some tend to be. Eggs cooked just right (over medium, no runny whites, still runny yolk). Small portion compared to a lot of breakfast places, but the flavor was good. He loved his Tiki Toast. Sweet for sure, but that's completely expected. I enjoyed the small bite I had, but def a dessert for me, not breakfast. Wife said her toast was kind of bland and small. She ended up getting an avo toast next door at Better Buzz in addition and liked it more. I didn't try hers. The flight: The Blueberry was his favorite--I got more of a blue raspberry vibe. Flavor was good. Sweet, but not overpowering, though the syrup used did have a bitter end that enhanced the champaign's bitter end so it was extra bitter to me on the finish. Green Apple--I think it was green apple, it had a lime slice as a garnish. Tasted like green apple. It was a good flavor, not too sweet, not bitter, just right in the middle. It was my favorite. Strawberry--I think was both of our least favorite (well, tied with Raspberry). It just barely had much flavor, it was like a sweet champaign with a fruity smell. If I was blindfolded and given this drink, I wouldn't have been able to identify strawberry. Raspberry--Wow. Like, wow, this was sweet af. I can add a single pump of raspberry syrup to my 40oz water to add a sweetness to it. I think this had 2 pumps in just a few ounces. I had to add water to make it drinkable and even then it was very, very sweet. I'm assuming this was to get the purple color. It was pucker face/shudder sweet. Was it fun? Heck yeah. Lori, I believe was our waitress. She was great. Super fun, showed us pictures of her in her rebel pilot helmet, complimented our SW swag and just gave the impression of happy to be there. Gave great suggestions as well. Overall, I was pleased. It was a fun experience, good food for me and the boy, and a fun themed flight. The price almost dropped another star, but the fun made up for it. The floats were 17 bucks, by the way. Not crazy, but on the higher end. I genuinely love this place for breakfast or brunch! It has a lot of great options, but I usually go for their chicken and waffle. Today I tried the chicken and waffle Benedict with cinnacakes. Both were delicious! I think I prefer the original chicken and waffles plate, because it will come with an entire Belgian waffle and three chicken tenders. Their matcha latte is very Americanized and sweet, but not bad. The indoor and outdoor seating is nice, and our waiter, Randy, was exceptional. Just be aware this place is pretty busy on the weekends, so make a reservation if you can. I think the prices are pretty fair for a nice breakfast spot, and it's one of my go-to's when people want to eat out! read more

Really love this spot and love that they have waitlist so you can join on your way there and don't have to wait in line! Came here on Presidents Day and it was rather busy which I was surprised by. Lacey was our server and she was amazing. I ordered my fave the Nutella crepes and then a side of link sausages and eggs. It was perfect. My husband got the cinnamon pancakes and they looked sooo good. We also came with my sister in law and my brother in law and I had some of the tomato soup my sister in law ordered. I had a wonderful experience at the broken yolk Café today. I usually only go to the summerlin location because that's close to where I live, however, I was dropping somebody off at Southpoint Casino and decided to venture off and try the Henderson location. I called to see if they can do the just egg at home fries as a side instead of getting their entire vegan spicy sausage meal. I was looking for something small but filling. I was greeted immediately and the place was very busy. My food came out promptly and my server. Randy was very kind, prompt and attentive. I truly believe part of the meal is the experience you have with the staff and Randy made it very enjoyable. Viewing the room around me, I can see smiles on the other customers's faces and satisfaction with the meals. Lots of laughs this morning! They have a great menu for all dietary needs, fresh ingredients and the place is very clean and tidy. It is nice to be able to eat out when you have dietary restrictions. It's been a long time since I've had an opportunity to enjoy brunch, so I decided to try a new spot. Broken Yolk Cafe has a few locations, with this one being located in a busy complex right off of Saint Rose Parkway. There is a decent amount of parking, but I'm sure when all of the businesses are in peak hours it can get a bit crammed. Pro tip, join their waitlist through Yelp ahead of time to avoid a lengthy wait. Once you arrive, just check in with the hostess to secure your spot. I dined with my friend at 11:30am, but only had to wait about 15 minutes since I joined the waitlist ahead of time. There is a decent amount of seating indoors with a screened in patio for overflow. They have bad seating as well if you don't mind not having a proper table. The noise level is a buzz, but you can still carry a conversation. I started with a pomegranate mimosa, which was delicious and definitely had a little kick (aka not all juice). We ordered our entrees, which were up in a very reasonable amount of time, especially for how busy they were. Although I was super tempted to try one of the varieties of French toast, given the holiday indulgences, I opted for something a little lighter this time. I had the Two Eggs Plus with scrambled eggs, homefries and sourdough toast. While there was nothing groundbreaking about the dish, everything was really good. The portion was large enough, in conjunction with my mimosa, to have leftovers. Everything was reasonably priced, especially for Vegas standards. There were a variety of diners, from families and friends to solo diners, so definitely a spot for everyone to enjoy a nice brunch. Our waiter was friendly and attentive as well. If there's one meal I never skip, it's breakfast. Tried this place for the first time (at this location) after playing pickleball across the street. It was a Sat morning around 10am and a full house with plenty of seating. Fortunately there wasn't a line, and we were greeted and seated right away (yesss!). What really made our visit special was our server, Mars. Mars was absolutely amazing. We brought my son here to celebrate his 13th birthday with a special breakfast/brunch, and it was the perfect choice for the occasion. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was spotless, inviting, and beautifully decorated. It immediately felt warm and welcoming! My son is a huge crepe fan, so that was an easy decision for him. They came out perfectly prepared, generously loaded with Nutella and fresh bananas. He turned it into a combo with eggs and bacon, and let's just say he left completely stuffed and happy. When the waiter overheard that it was his birthday, he thoughtfully added a candle to the crepes. They don't do the traditional birthday song, but the simple gesture made him feel celebrated and special on his big day. We always tend to visit this broke yolk location when visiting las vegas. Why do we drive so far from the strip for this spot? Well, the service is outstanding (compared to the other locations we've tried), the food is always hot and delicious and its close to costco, so we tend to fill up the gas tank on our way back to the strip! It does get pretty busy, but we are early risers and tend to get there around 8/9ish. I always suggest getting on the wait list! The ambiance is nice, restaurant is clean and the seating is comfy. They do have alot of seating plus outdoor seating is available! Keep in mind, there are alot of broken yolk locations in the area but we just love the friendly staff and service here! My only regret is that I did not get his name to add to this review. The restaurant itself and their restrooms were clean with a modern diner feel. The food was delicious!!! Whenever I ask for my eggs fried well done they rarely get it right. Broken Yolk definitely got it percent correct. My mom and I had the croissant breakfast sandwich with egg and crispy bacon. The croissant was buttery and toasted just right. My husband had the American reakfast potatoes, sour dough toast, bacon and eggs over medium. He said everything was so good and cooked just right. My son had the smoked salmon and chicken and waffle Benedict. He loved it!!! They also have really good coffee. My mom is still talking about that sandwich! When it comes to value the prices were reasonable. Everything we ordered was between $14.95-$16.95. We went to the Henderson, NV location. Since I live in Carson, CA I will try the Buena Park or Costa Mesa locations! This place is a definite must try. read more

Worst Meal Ever I ordered a "Build Your Own Omelet" with mushrooms and feta cheese. These omelets allegedly contain four eggs. Well they must have used pigeon eggs for my omelet because the omelet was tiny. There were plenty of mushrooms inside but the feta cheese was virtually nonexistent. There was only a few crumbs of the cheese that were barely visible (no, there was not more cheese that had melted together with the eggs). My wife ordered the smaller omelet that only contains two eggs and her omelet was the same size as mine. When they brought her order the plate only contained the side dish and the bread, there was no omelet on the plate. We had to ask the waitress what happened to the omelet and she had to go to the kitchen to have them make my wife's omelet. The only positive thing was that this restaurant is located across from a McDonald's. As soon as we paid the bill and left Broken Yolk we walked over to McDonald's and got something else to eat because we were both hungry after the microscopic meals we had been served in Broken Yolk. read more

No thank you! Stopped in today after a friend of mine recommended we have brunch here for the day. Being optimistic I went with the flow only to not have a great experience. For starters the wait time was not worth the quality of the food. Upon seating everything was fine the waitress (Lacee )started off well with recommendations and courtesy, but that eventually changed. I kept it classic with a Churro French Toast breakfast, side of bacon & sausage, eggs, and hash browns. The waitress had a hard time listening is what I gathered. When my food arrived I only received one bacon and one sausage when I asked for two of each. Another issue included receiving my forgotten about hashbrowns which did not arrive until half my food was already gone. Did I mention they were a little burnt! The icing on the cake was the sausage not being cooked. I took one bite and said something is off. I then cut into the sausage just to find it's not cooked all the way with pink inside. Yes, pork sausage, uncooked, red flag! I brought this to the attention of the waitress showing her the sausage who states that the sausage is cooked but that's just how it looks. Ma'm no! Instead of making matters worse I asked for the sausage to be removed from my tab. The waitress did not offer to remake, replace with something else, and immediately took the plate walking away with an attitude. From there her demeanor changed drastically. So much so when she revisited our table she was short in interaction, poured water when no one wanted anymore, and seemed to be rushing when checking us out. I didn't have any expectations for this restaurant but as any patron I expected better customer service at minimum. Outside of the poor service the prices are reasonable, but not worth the hype if we're talking wait time. At this point, this will be my first and last visit to this location. This experience put a bad taste in my mouth as I do not take poor customer service lightly. I do hope the next time this happens a customer is serviced better and Ms.Lacee understands that as a paying customer you want your food prepared correctly and edible.
