Hidden jewel. It's just off Waters street next to the Gun Shop. The interior is clean and bright. There's red and black booths and tables to sit and quite comfy. The floors are polished cement, which I happen to love We were greeted by the hostess which was a warm and friendly "Hi! welcome". She sat us and asked for are drinks. Brought them out immediately. Shortly after the waitress came to take our order. We ordered breakfast, which came out with full plates and the food was cooked to perfection. The food was plenty and we didn't have a long wait. I really liked all I ordered. It was cooked and tasted just like I would do at home. We came a few days later for lunch. We both ordered Patty Melts but with different requests. The sandwiches came out just as ordered and tasted amazing. Look, this is a small "hometown" let's seat and talk forever kinda place. And I love it. It's NOT fancy it's "come seat, eat, talk, laugh" kinda place. And it will be a staple in my eating places. This is a breakfast and lunch and lunch place. Give it a chance. I received a 20% off coupon for Pacific Diner in the Value Pak mailer. I decided today was as good a day as any to give them a try. I knew going in that I was going to order corned beef hash. It is one of the few breakfasts I like to order from a diner. Usually I just get a burger from such places. I was greeted immediately when I walked in. They asked me to sit at the table right behind me next to the entrance. No problem. It was a comfy window seat booth with the warm sun coming in through the blinds. The table could have been washed better but it wasn't exactly dirty. So there I sat waiting for somebody to take my order. I sat for a few minutes before one of the hostesses finally came by to ask if I wanted anything to drink. A short time later the waitress came to take my order. As I waited for my meal I over heard a gentleman at another table send back his breakfast. He complained to the hostess that the eggs were undercooked. He even told the waitress and she laughed thinking he was joking. He was not. I thought he was making a bigger deal out of this than was necessary. He was not. My food came up soon. The corned beef hash was, how to put this, different. It was like shoestring fries with some strips of corned beef which looked like it was cut from what would go on a reuben sandwich. I am used to diced meat or shredded when I get hash. Not lunch meat. The "seasoned" potatoes on the side were enjoyable though they are really a redundancy with this kind of a meal. I'm not sure I would call them seasoned. They had maybe a dash of seasoning salt. That was about it. The biscuit, yet another carb, was probably the best thing on the plate. The worst things were the eggs without a doubt. Like the older gentleman who was my table neighbor, my egg were undercooked. Significantly so. I odered over easy. These were never turned over. They were barely even cooked to sunny side up. The whites weren't even fully set! The tops were as runny as the yolk. Yuck! I probably should have sent mine back but I am not the kind that likes to send food back. So I ate it and now I pray I don't get sick. Aside from the food being sub par, the atmosphere here is not fabulous. Its dark inside. The lights were on but it still seemed dark. It felt cold and almost industrial with the concrete floor. The decor on the walls, very Nevada-centric, was kind of cool. Part crafty. Part kitschy. Service was alright. Friendly hostess. Slow but friendly waitress with some off color jokes which I was not offended by but felt were inappropriate for a family restaurant. This does not rank in the top of my diner experiences. If I do decide to give Pacific Diner another try, it will not be for another breakfast. I would be willing to try a burger on a future visit. I don't want to write off someplace until I give them a second chance. First impressions go a long way though. read more

Went here a few weeks ago while in Henderson with a good friend. He suggested we try someplace "different" than our usual breakfast/lunch destinations. As the options for dine-in have been so limited since the Covid craziness I was a little hesitant. My reluctance was unfounded...The pacific Diner is a wonderful home-style restaurant that felt welcoming and relaxing. I had the chicken friend steak and it was perfect! Not only was the food amazing, but I met one of the owners, Yvonne, who prayed for me. God is good. Been in Las Vegas for 15 days and have spent about $3000.00 on fast food, morning, noon and night! Each and every time that I have placed an order and delivered to one of the few hotels that we have stayed at has been a issue either with or a door Dash person getting a flat tire, items missing, or food in correct. This is the first place that I have ordered food from with instructions to fix my food, cook my food and prepare my good, just the way I wanted it and it was completely done! if I could give this location 10 stars, I would but unfortunately I can only give you five. This place is awesome. As soon as you walk in, they greet you and you're seated right away. We went on a Thursday, so I don't know how busy it gets on the weekends, but they bring out your food pretty quickly, so even if there's a wait, it won't be long. The staff seems to all get along and are friendly, so its a comfortable atmosphere to eat in. The food is super reasonably priced and delicious. We are staying at the Westin Hotel and Resort in Henderson. Which is not saying much, as we can only get food delivered 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. So, we decided to order breakfast from Pacific Diner through Doordash. We ordered pancakes, country fried steak and eggs, and French toast. Everything was carefully packaged, with gravy, sauces, all individually. Everything was fresh and delicious, and they thought of everything. Napkins, utensils, condiments, you name it! I would suggest not using a 3 party delivery service to order. Like other merchants, there is zero pride or integrity when preparing the order. You are at their mercy and get stuck with whatever they choose. I ordered an island breakfast with Spam and instead received Portuguese sausage with rice that was easily 2 days old. It was discolored and crunch. Definitely not fresh or island rice. Also had a side of French fries there were limp and soggy and the small container was half full. Also had an order of hash browns soaked in dirty oil. To say this was a bad first impression is being generous. Based on the pictures posted by diners, their food while eating there looks great. I'd probably give them a try to dine in because if they mess up they can fix it. I would suggest this place have a little more integrity and honesty when preparing and packing delivery orders. read more
