The pancakes were fluffy and the short stack wasn't so short because the pancakes are big. They cooked my medium-well eggs perfectly. Ugh...the bacon wasn't a hit. I requested it soft but they only had crispy because they precook it in the morning. That wasn't the end of the world but it was disappointing. My husband and I went to breakfast today for my birthday. They have a very nice restaurant. Very clean and welcoming. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly with us. The owner c spoke to us about the history of the building and told us about upcoming events in downtown Henderson. We mentioned it was my birthday and they came out with a delicious cinnamon roll with a birthday candle for me. My husband and I moved from upstate NY to Henderson last summer. It hit the spot for my biscuits and gravy training, and it also had some tasty and affordable breakfast. We will definitely be coming back and trying out the other items in their menu! We called in the order, like I mentioned before, it was the easiest option for us since we had a busy day ahead. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, it came with hash browns, 2 eggs, and bacon. It was about 10 bucks! We brought it home, the food was fresh, the hash browns were a little bit oily; but the eggs were great, and the bacon was crispy. The biscuits were amazing, they could have used some butter, but they were great! The gravy was tasty with some chopped up sausage, full of flavor and a nice consistency. I'll be back to try some more, maybe do a dine in, and maybe go with a bigger appetite to taste more items on their menu than just one meal! We've given this place two chances the first time the food was terrible and the second time it was even worse. My wife ordered corned beef, hash, and instead of corned beef. Doesn't look like much when you walk by but don't let that fool you. The food here is quite yummy and the price is right. I ordered the Dad's Denver omelette. It was pretty good. I got a side of the gravy from their biscuits and gravy to put on top. Added a little salt and pepper and it was pretty good. Even my daughter ate it. My daughter got the chocolate chip pancakes and only ate around the sides because she said there was way too much chocolate in it. We rode down water Street in Henderson Sunday morning, we were looking for brunch 3 Ebike riders. We went to two establishments and they could not provide bike parking safely for E bikes, we were a bit discouraged and ready to head to Boulder City. When we stopped in Pacific Diner and they happily accommodated our bikes, we had a wonderful tasted like homemade breakfast! I'll be honest and say our first option for our meal was not Pacific Diner. That said, after we added our names to the waitlist for another establishment, we realized they were no longer serving breakfast, so we opted to see what was close by. Yelp to the rescue...Pacific Diner appeared and had a 4 star rating... Upon entering the restaurant what caught my eye first was the dilapidated booths. Some are literally falling apart. What caught my nose was a scent I am familiar with but couldn't place...I can only describe it as the scent in an Auto Zone. Overall the diner has a industrial feel with polished concrete flooring, and Nevada themed wall decor. The staff was friendly, but not attentive. I ordered the French toast breakfast with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The food was subpar. The french toast had a weird aftertaste that took a while to emerge- basically, French toast with a burnt Teflon jolt. My hash browns were drenched in cooking oil that successfully coated my mouth with the first and only bite. My spouse ordered the cheese burger and fries. The burger was cooked as ordered and the fries came out hot and fresh. Overall the burger was average. How PD has a 4 star rating I'm really not sure. I work close by in downtown Henderson. We've been fortunate to see many new lunch break options near us and have been wanting to check this place out. I met a coworker for lunch during the week and there was ample parking and tables available. We were both excited that there was an option to get breakfast for lunch but both went with other dishes. She got a tuna melt sandwich with a cup of soup on the side and I went with the loco moco. The loco moco was the best I've had in town! This spot is legit! I've been looking for a small family diner since my regular Metro Diner closed and this place did not disappoint. We had the corned beef and hash which looked so interesting and different and I tried a tiny bit and it was good! I got a Southwest omelette (I think that's what it's called) with no onions and the server joked about extra onions. She also got me a side of gravy for my biscuit and always made sure my coffee was filled. She made sure to talk to us and make us feel like regulars which was rather nice! It's hidden off of water street and had ample parking in the morning. My omelette was also excellent! It was so light and fluffy and not greasy! What it lacks in decor, it makes it up in good food at a good price. My huge 3 egg veggie omelette was stuffed with spinach, red peppers diced finely (yes!) and fresh mushrooms. I was more than pleased. Hubby was happy with his 2 egg breakfast and a side of hotcakes. The hotcakes were fluffy and light. (I don't know why but many breakfast places manage to screw up hotcakes). Anyway, I have to warn that they do cut some corners such as an off brand non-dairy creamer. They did have Smuckers jam but also an off-brand Strawberry jam that I tried and didn't care for.
