We hired Jerry and Pacific Coast Stairs to redo our stairs. We had typical wooden stairs, balusters and rails. They came in and removed our old stairs and installed the new wrought iron balusters, wooden rails and stained to match our wooden floors. All in 2 1/2 days. We couldn't be happier with the finished result. Jerry is awesome and his crew super professional. They protected the contents of our home and cleaned up daily. I would give more than FIVE STARS if I could. I highly recommend Pacific Coast Stairs.

Jerry and his team at Pacific Coast Stairs were terrific. We needed a handrail to run opposite our banister for safety. Their work was professional, done in a timely manner, and done the way we requested. The banister is sturdy, well anchored and well stained and finished. We could not be happier. I highly recommend Pacific Coast Stairs without hesitation.

If I could give Brian at Pacific Coast Stairs 100 stars I would!!!! Definitely a 5 out of 5 home run experience and have no regrets going with Pacific Coast Stairs for our banister work. Brian actually came highly recommended by Eric at Venetian Flooring, who we went with when we chose to replace our outdated upstairs carpet. From the start, Brian was amazing to work with. He came and gave an in-person consultation and later provided a very very detailed quote. We sat on it for awhile because we always like to get 2-3 quotes from various contractors. Redoing banisters is not cheap or easy, but his quote was one of the most competitive and we felt good going with him because his quote was so detailed and covered every aspect of the job from the opening of the wall to the skirting, and even the exact dimensions of the rails. Then the week before work began, he emailed me with a clear breakdown of what the plan for each day. If you are also redoing flooring along with banisters this is what you can expect: 1. 1-2 days before floor install - Brian's team had to come to cut open the walls and cut the white risers. 2. Floor install 3. Then after floor install, Brian's team came back to install the banister and posts the first day, and paint and stain everything the second day. Brian even went above and beyond for me because I saw another inspiration post a few days before the actual banister install, and he was able to accommodate the change request! He didn't sound annoyed and was ever so patient and kind. I also made another change and went with white paint over the original plan to stain the banisters, and again he was able to work with me and make it happen without showing even a hint of frustration. He responded to texts and calls throughout the project and was always very responsive. It's a very good feeling knowing you can trust your contractor to give you his best because god knows we all know a horror contractor story or two. Reliable, responsive, hard working, patient, and kind with impeccable skill. What more can you ask for? Their work really speaks for itself as shown in my uploaded pictures. Really fantastic and quality work. I love love love how modern and clean my new banisters turned out. Opening up the walls was a good call because it really opened up this space. Thank you again Brian and team for everything!! You earned every bit of praise and recognition and I mean every word!!

I just had my handrail, newel posts, and balusters installed yesterday and I am so happy with how it turned out. Jerry was extremely helpful when I first reached out. He answered all my questions and helped guide me through the process of picking a design to match my Pinterest inspos. When it came time to installation day, Jerry and Brian were professional, prompt, and their workmanship was outstanding. They paid great attention to detail and ensured everything was perfectly aligned and secured despite a few hiccups due to the way my stairs were built by a different contractor. Their painters were also great and helped me pick the perfect stain color for the white oak handrails and newel posts to match my floors. Overall, I am over the moon with how my stairs turned out and would highly recommend Pacific Coast Stairs.

I had been looking to remodel my stairs for a while and had reached out to a few companies. I did not feel the other companies were a match for what I wanted. Simple but classic and quality. When I contacted Jerry at Pacific Coast Stairs he responded right away. Once he came out and saw my stair job I could tell he was the guy. He told he was weeks from being able to do the job. I felt it was worth the wait to get my stair remodel from his company. He knew exactly what I wanted and I did not have to go into much detail. The job he did was amazing! He has fairly quick (about a week). I love my new stairs!!' Subtle but such a showstopper- first thing one sees when they open my front door! Thank you thank you. I recommend 100%!

I hired Pacific Coast Stairs to build me a new stair handrail. From my initial contact to job completion Jerry and his team was great to work with. I spoke with a total of four companies, including Pacific Coast Stairs, and Jerry was the only one to come out, measure, and explain the work he'd be doing. This is one of the reasons why I ultimately decided to go with Jerry. At one point the project hit a little snag, which was out of Jerry's control, but he made sure to rectify the issue. Jerry is honest, trustworthy, and cares about the quality of his work. A true craftsman! I wouldn't hesitate to hire or recommend Pacific Coast Stairs for any future stair projects!

Brian and Jerry at Pacific Coast Stairs were wonderful to work with. I mean the end result speaks for itself, but the entire process was awesome! I was redoing the floors at the same time and had flooring delays due to the current supply chain issues, but Brian and team were flexible and communicative. Every day was spelled out for me and they were on time, set clear expectations and clean! I just have some paint touch ups remaining in one little spot and it will look like a whole new house!

Very impressed with the work done to my stair railings. The quality of work and every person that worked the job with Jerry was great and worked respectfully in our home. Had the wood balusters removed and replaced with wrought iron. And upper wood rail was sanded and stained to match the existing wood floor. The staining of the wood was done by a painting company that works with them. So pleased that it was all coordinated by Jerry and they worked seamlessly together in completing the job in the stated amount of time. I compared quotes with three other companies and the quote was competitive but a fair price when factoring in: Time in completing the job Reliability Quality I would use this company again and would recommend to friends and neighbors.

Look no further! Go with Pacific Coast Stairs! I provided Jerry with a couple of inspiration photos and he was able to execute flawlessly. I ran into a hiccup with my flooring contractor and Jerry dropped what he was doing and came to my house to help with the situation. He was able to find a resolution within minutes to keep my flooring contractor moving forward. Suffice to say, Jerry went above and beyond to make sure things turned out perfectly. The staircase install took 3 days from start to finish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

First off, thanks to fellow Yelpers for the helpful reviews! I don't review often but Jerry & Brian are beyond deserving of this 5 star review. They are the antithesis of the standard contractor -- responsive, organized, reliable and most importantly, top notch craftsmanship. The finish on my new stairs is impeccable, everything is perfect and as promised. Also, if you're concerned about exposure during the pandemic, I can confirm that all the workers wore masks the entire time and the area was plastic'd off to other areas of the house to keep it isolated. They worked very efficiently spending no more time in the house than necessary. Thank you Jerry & Brian!!

Jerry & Brian came out today to upgrade my staircase railing. They arrived on time and completed the project efficiently and very professionally. I love how it turned out. Now, time for the hardwood floors.

Jerry, Brian and Miguel were absolutely stellar! I had a concept I had designed for the stairs -- me not being a "stair designer", but aesthetically i knew exactly what i wanted. Jerry was VERY up front a the possibility that my vision might not be structurally possible. however, when it came down to the final finish it was even better than what i had designed but 100% true to the design intent. i couldn't be happier with their workmanship and work-ethic. Thanks to the whole crew! you guys did an outstanding job - i smile big every time i use our new staircase.

Jerry and his team are amazing! We went from quote to project in under a week. It's hard to find good reliable people but Pacific Coast Stairs has figured it out. They do really good work, they are respectful to your house, and they are reasonable. I highly recommend them. You won't be sorry!

Jerry and his team did an awesome job replacing a drywall railing with this beautiful baluster railing.

Hi, I don't recall if I reached out for a quote before or not? We remodeled a year ago and wanted to do the stairs but couldn't afford it. I am becoming more concerned with the noise certain steps make so we need to take action. Can you help?…

I discovered Sergio after I saw his incredible work/remodeling to the house next door to me. We arranged our first meeting whereby he bought his laptop, and provided numerous options and designs for my bathroom remodel. Fortunately, Sergio has great ideas and suggestions, making the process of decision making, ie. what materials to use, design options, etc. The process started right on cue, and the ETA for completion of 4-5 weeks was righty on the money! The guys that work for OSH are ALL exemplary, professional, prompt, and courteous! From the demolition guys, the carpenters, the electrician, the painter, the glass guys, I could not have asked for better! The thing that stands out for me, is the fact that these guys were consistently prompt, and did not skip a beat. Unlike most contractors, whereby days are missed, job gets delayed due to spreading themselves too thin with other jobs. None of that with Sergio, he was spot-on prompt with moving this job along as scheduled. My bathroom remodel also included a steam-shower installation, which took on extra diligence, but well worth it! This remodel has improved my home, as if it were a complete add-on to my house, considering I rarely used this guest bathroom (even though it is adjacent to my office). To all the Yelp audience reading this, trust me, you could not get a greater, more skilled and considerate Contractor than Sergio and OSH! I cannot recommend him enough, and I guarantee you will appreciate this review once you hire him. *** Take the time to review all of my photos that show the step-by-step process for this job! Also note that I used "single slab" porcelain, for my shower, versus individual tiling. This process was a much more challenging and labor intensive install, but well worth it, and Sergio's team pulled it off perfectly!!

One plumber could install a gas line only, another plumber could install a gas line and the gas cooktop but not the hood, and an appliance installation technician could not install the cooktop because he could not cut into the existing granite top. So I found Max of MRI Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and he said that he could do the work within that original scope -- cooktop, hood, and gas line -- but that we should anticipate a backup plan in case the granite cracked during installation. Because we plan to live in this house for as long as possible, we decided to go through a full kitchen renovation. We had a prior experience with another general contractor who was impossible to get a hold of and who could not ensure the quality of the subcontractors he hired, and interviewed another general contractor who gave us the impression that we would have to engage with suppliers and subcontractors more than seemed feasible. We are happy to say that we just finished our kitchen renovation last week! And it was finished a week earlier than scheduled. We are thankful to Max and his team of subcontractors! We are really happy with the final kitchen, given how much we cook at home. And surprisingly the process was easy despite its size and time of 6 weeks. Max has the strengths and qualities you want for your construction projects: he's incredibly responsive, honest and communicative, and willing and able to troubleshoot issues that come up, as they invariably do, both small and large. He makes recommendations if you ask and gives you options for decisions for which there are too many options. He works with an amazing group of subcontractors who are experts in their craft. There was an exception with one subcontractor but Max was able to get that course-corrected so that the project finished strong. We appreciate his integrity and his willingness to ensure that the project meets your needs and expectations. We are grateful that we found Max on Yelp and for being able to work with him on a kitchen that we love and also within budget!! Thank you, Max and MRI Construction!!
