My third time eating here and I find the food okay but not memorable. However, a few days ago went for lunch and had the very best meal there out of all my times there. I had the Sea Bass Tacos, 3 of them. Totally delicious, fresh large chunks perfectly cooked filled three generously filled mini tacos. These were not mini in my book and I am a guy with a hearty appetite. Came with salad (my choice ) and black beans. Perhaps just my lucky day that it was so good. Next time will tell if it will continue to get a great review from me. Service was polite and efficient. read more

This place is always quite busy so I decided to stop in for an early Friday night dinner. Very spacious location with good decor. Both outdoor and indoor seating including at the bar. Our hostess was fine except for the fact when I greeted her and asked how she was she just stared at me and didn't respond...odd but maybe she didn't hear me. Our main waitress was very lovely so that was good. Food: Fish and Chips mixed - 3/5. Included fried fish, coconut shrimp, calamari and fries. Fried fish pieces were large and delicious. Everything else unfortunately fell short, came out a little too cold for my liking. While the flavor was there, the food not being hot/warm threw me off. Sauces that came with the plate were all very yummy! Salmon Burger - 4.5/5. Really good! I had a few bites and was very pleased with the dish! All in all, 3.5 stars from me. Somewhere I would return to to try other items. read more

We like going to Pacific. Catch. Cool updated, sit down ambiance. Great service. Nice area. The food was very good. No complaints. Check my photos for details. But it was $100 for two, a bit pricey. Mind you, I drank water, my son had a non-alcoholic Nina-Colada. I'd give a 4 if weren't for the price. A 3.5 is fair. But I'll give a 3 rather than a 4. It's something to think about if my family of 4 came: would be $200. read more

Beautiful restaurant in a great location across from Golden Gate Park. We were seated immediately on a Friday evening. Service was friendly and the food came out very soon after ordering. The grilled salmon bowl was delicious. They have a decent wine selection and one of my favorite Sauvignon Blancs from Honig. Recommend if you're in the area and looking for a yummy seafood option. read more

Pacific Catch is a laid-back sit-down spot serving a smorgasbord of seafood dishes, from bowls and tacos to salads, burgers, platters, and sushi, so there really is something for everyone. I have tried a handful of items on the menu and found everything to be pretty good, if not particularly spectacular or stand-out. The various poke bowl options are a great example. They are fine, use fresh fish, and have a decent flavor overall, but nothing special that I could not find at any number of other poke shops (and for much cheaper) and the rice in particular is not great. That said, the Chilean sea bass skewers, which I think is a newer menu item, are actually quite good. The sea bass is cooked perfectly, flaky and buttery, and pairs beautifully with a bright mango-avocado arugula salad that adds just the right touch of sweetness to complement the fish. All in all, this is probably a 3.5-star experience, but I am rounding up because the staff are all super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is nice and relaxed, with tons of sunlight coming in from all angles, which always makes a meal taste slightly better. read more

We've been to Pacific Catch many times over the years as it's convenient when doing something in Golden Gate Park. Always good food but nothing too amazing. We went for a recent Aloha Friday as you can get $6 Mai tais during happy hour if you wear a Hawaiian shirt. The Mai tai was actually good and pretty strong! They are normally $15/each so this is a deal. We started at the bar with coconut shrimp which came with a Thai sweet chili dipping sauce ($14), with about 5 pieces and really tasty. After we were seated, husband had the miso black cod ($35) which was a glazed Alaska sablefish, with furikake rice and sesame green beans. He enjoyed it but the piece was not huge for the price. I had the fried shrimp tacos with black beans and chips and salsa, which were really good. It comes with 2 tacos served with chordido and a spicy aioli ($19). Delish and filling! Plus another round of Mai tais at regular pricing. The restaurant is pretty large and service was good. We will definitely be back! read more

We came by for lunch on a Saturday. We were met right away at the hostess stand and sat right away. The restaurant was at about half capacity. The waiter came by right away and got our drink orders while we figured out what we wanted to eat. They have great lunch specials that will not leave you hungry. I got the Poké duo bowl picture attached. It was delicious. My wife got a salad with tofu. It came out accidentally with salmon on it. She doesn't eat salmon so she let them know they made a mistake. They took the dish back and within a few minutes. Both enjoyed our food and drinks. This is a nice place. Great big windows very friendly staff even semi outdoor seating with a fire pit. I'm sure we'll be back next time we're looking for lunch in the area. read more

Love this place and location!! I'm not a seafood eater, but I truly enjoy the bowls here. I order teriyaki chicken when I'm here. This particular location is fabulous for when you're at the DeYoung or Cal Academy or the Arboretum or the tea garden. I love everything about it. The outdoorish space with the fireplaces, the indoor dining area with its light and airy feeling. The beautiful bar in the center front. It just works! Food is good. Solid every time. Service is adequate to better than average. Overall, it's a win in the city. I will return! read more

Our server Cabi was friendly and welcoming to us and our pup. We were seated in the front where we could enjoy dinner with our dog. This restaurant is stylish and casual with comfortable seating. ツィ read more

Frequent customer here... Sad to report, the Surf and Turf was horrible. The lobster tail was so overcooked, it was like shoe leather, plus with a burn taste. The skirt steak was close to the same. The grits that came with the dish were so salty, that they were impossible to eat. The ambiance is great and the server seemed nice but minimally interactive. Front seater seems disinterested in her job. Sire, it's a Thursday mid-day but if you expect tips etc, try harder. read more

Because Pacific Catch has been known to send text messages announcing things like steep discounts on rainy days I allow them to text me messages. For the same reason, I've also downloaded their app and given them my birthdate. People who turn over this information get an annual birthday gift, generally in the form of a regular-sized "bowl" of which there are several to choose from. I recently popped into this Pacific Catch location to enjoy that complimentary bowl. Though I was headed back to Marin - where there's also a Pacific Catch - I've personally found that I prefer the food at this location (despite both featuring the same menu). A few years back Pacific Catch remodeled this location and I really enjoy the airiness; it well-matches the food. I opted for the Mexican Grill Bowl featuring seared shrimp and a lot of other ingredients that they continually tinker with. I preferred back when this bowl featured corn on the cob (rather than corn off the cob, as it now does) but I can't argue with its taste or presentation: shrimp, corn, tortilla chips, guacamole, brown rice, organic greens and other things that I likely didn't even notice. This bowl was enough for two meals and the fact that I consumed nearly the whole thing in one sitting is a good indication of how much I enjoyed it. Pacific Catch - this location in particular - provides a reliably enjoyable meal and an ever-changing rotation of happy hour deals. I might not ever get excited to find myself here but when I do? I always enjoy it. read more

I only get the ahi wasabi rice bowl.....for years! It has improved over the past months. I feel like they are paying more attention to the plates that come out. Went for lunch. The ahi on the bowl was perfectly prepared. (In the past it was always pieces with the string of white in it and barely any ahi). We had friendly and attentive service. Love the interior and menu updates. Will return more for lunch! read more

We came here for lunch because we were looking for places that weren't too far from the Golden Gate Bridge. I wished they had more food places within walking distance of the bridge, considering that you have to Uber everywhere in SF. We were seated right away in the bar area. We just did a walk in, no reservation. We ordered Hawaiian pork belly sliders, lobster roll, and wagyu cheeseburger. My only complaint is that the Hawaiian pork belly sliders only had 3 sliders yet it cost $15? Those appetizers should all be like $12 and below. It should not cost as much as an entree. The other two items were priced correctly. Service was alright, nothing really memorable. Hawaiian pork belly sliders were overpriced and the pork belly could have been more tender. I would want it to melt in my mouth so it was like a 3 out of 5. Just okay. The lobster roll was pretty tasty. The wagyu cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, about medium rare to medium. I don't want it to be chewy. Those are a 5 out of 5. I did like that they gave us a lot of greens for the salad and coleslaw. It definitely made the meal more filling. This is overall a 3.5-4 star kind of place. Fix the appetizer prices and this can be a solid 4. read more

The fish and chips were actually flavorful. You probably don't have to feel bad for asking them to remake it if they mess up and think you're the person to give the messed up ones to and you have to take one for the team and risk food poisoning or paying exactly the same as everyone else ordering from the same menu yet they choose you to treat like crap and give you the broken re fried soaked in oil hard chips that have been sitting around all day long. Here you won't have to feel guilty about asking them to remake it or feel guilty for asking them if you can have some actual flavor with it without having to pay another "tip" just to actually get some flavor on some fish and chips. read more

Booked a reservation for my family after my graduation ceremony, and this was the perfect spot! The atmosphere is casual-elevated, the interior is clean and open, and the space has plenty of large tables if you have a big gathering. Went recently with family after a visit at the California Academy of Sciences for lunch. It was perfect as it was just a short walk from there. Its located just on the corner of 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way. They have plenty of seating inside and even somewhat on the outside with a small fireplace. The moment we came in, the 6 of us were seated quite quickly. A few of us ordered the Hawaiian Poke Bowl while the others ordered the Wagyu burger and the 3 piece fish and chips. For an appetizer, we ordered the calamari and Hawaiian Pork Belly Sliders. The pork belly sliders were delicious but for 3 mini sliders, $15 seemed a tad overpriced. Calamari was decently sized and good. Poke bowls were decently sized. My son's Wagyu seemed to please him though although he pointed out he wanted it plain with just ketchup, they still put all the toppings on it..rather than bugging someone about it, he scraped everything off of it. The fish and chips seemed to please the one who ordered it as it was perfectly crisp and flakey fish with plenty of fries. I think the only complaint is that they give too small a serving of the tarter sauce with such big fish pieces. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean as well as bathrooms when needed to go. A nice, relaxing atmosphere to have dinner with family and friends. read more

The restaurant itself is nicely designed, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. My partner ordered the shrimp taco, which only came with two small pieces, lacked flavor, and was served on a rubbery tortilla. The coconut shrimp was overcooked to the point that it was difficult to bite into. As for the fish and chips, they were completely lackluster and had little to no flavor. Even the drinks were disappointing--the Coke was flat, and after mentioning it to the waitress, the replacement was just as flat. The only highlight was the lemonade, which was actually quite good. Overall, I'd give this place one star, solely for that. read more

My friends and I came here on a weekday evening and were seated immediately. With the wooden aesthetic and glass windows, the restaurant felt very spacious and pleasant. While my friends ordered two of Pacific Catch's regular sized bowls, I ordered their 2 pc Fish and Chips with regular fries. Our orders all came out at once in around 15 minutes. The slaw on the side and jalapeño tartar were good sides to the main crispy fish and medium crispy fries. The portion size was just right, as I was able to finish all of it and feel full at the end. This review is solely for delivery (highly recommend ordering directly from their website!) I love their food! You can tell they use really fresh ingredients and put a lot of thought and care in their dishes. We always order their rolls - the shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, California (it's great that they use real crab and no imitation) We also love the steak and kimchi fried rice with Brussels sprouts - everything on the plate is perfection.
