It's A-OK, only if you're careful what you order. It seems like in these days of hard-to-find sit-down restaurants, we have to be willing to accept things we wouldn't normally abide. In this case ... We were looking to dine-in, which is a luxury these Covid days, and we were able to get one of the coveted tables at Pacific Catch's covered "outdoor patio" tables. That was nice. They do have, additionally, a cadre of outdoor tables in the mallway outside the front door which, depending on the weather and traffic levels, might be nice, too. The staff was very nice, careful to follow Covid protocols, and efficient. They operated as a team, so we never felt neglected. As for the food, there were some high points, and a couple of low points. The Avocado Poke Bowl was a refreshing starter, perfect with a cold beer or a glass of white wine. Then we had a couple of appetizers of friend shrimp and calamari. These dishes were clearly fried too hot, and/or prepared in overly used deep-fryer oil. They had an off-taste and seemed tough and overcooked. Be selective! Pacific Catch's best bets are the fresh foods, grilled fish, and tacos. These were flavorful and fresh. Stay away from their fried foods. Even the French Fries that came with a couple of our entrees were inedible. read more

We had a very bad experience there this evening unfortunately because we've been regulars since 2004 when it first opened in the Marina district of SF. However after the way we were treated by both the host and the manager, I doubt we will be back. It started when we put our name in for a table and the host asked if we had a reservation (it's located in a mall- so they should allow for walk ups- I've never heard of needing a reservation here for a 2top) We said no to the reservation question and the host took our phone # and told us it would be 20 min. So we wandered around the mall for 30 minutes with no text or call and so we meandered back to the restaurant thinking we must be close to being up. When we got back to the host stand he told us that we would not be seated at all because now it was 6:30 and the next round of reservations had arrived (he informed us that there were 7 reservations in front of us). This just seemed like a really bad way to treat people after we had already aimlessly wandered around for 30 minutes, and I have worked at enough places in both fine dining and fast paced turn over (this is closer to the latter) to know that it most certainly is not how to treat people. So instead of dealing with the young host (he was probably 16) I simply asked to speak to the manager. After all we were only a 2 top and there was a bunch of tables open that were just being held open because they were understaffed. I was not rude to the Host, nor did I make a scene, I just wanted to ask the manager if this is what he is teaching the young host to do (how to treat people who had been patiently waiting). Again I've been working in restaurants for a very long time and have never heard of telling someone that they would not be seated because the next round of reservations had arrived just because there were "campers." When the manager came, he was already very heated towards me, and very defensive of the young host, who I had not disrespected in anyway, instead of trying to problem solve, or offer us a gift card or some way to make it right. I understand they were busy, and understaffed, but to waste peoples time and be rude to them when there were open tables was just beyond. No apologies, just rudeness and anger from the manager when I intentionally asked to speak to him because I was trying to just take it easy on the kid host. If it were my restaurant I would not take reservations or take a limited number of them to accommodate for walk ups. It's in a mall. And If I made a mistake like this I would just open up a 2 top. It's not like we were a table if 10. Regardless the level of rudeness in the way we were treated by the manager was absolutely uncalled for. I was just advocating for myself after waiting and then being told it was impossible to be seated. He should have apologized and made it right. read more

Something here has changed... the food used to be good and the service delightful. The food was average, at best. Ordered the Guacamole and it was mostly black in color from very bruised avocados. Everything else was pretty bland in flavor. Service was not delightful. They weee probably understaffed and over worked, but our server was in a rush to take our order and expressed it to us that way. Anyways, not sure we'd go back... it's too bad. read more

First time in this branch. Food is always great but i think i just ordered a wrong item for me as I don't like five spice but manage to swap my order with my husband. Service is fast and respectful. Ambiance is great. I only been to Walnut Creek and Dublin, but i think I would prefer going here instead of Walnut Creek, parking is just hard. read more

This was my first time coming to the Corte Madera location, and I was very impressed. Usually we go to the Walnut Creek location, but I won't be going there anymore. The Corte Madera location is beautifully newly renovated. The ambiance was a perfect setting to just relax and enjoy some great food and drinks. The server, Alvaro, as well as the manager were on point with the service. I will definitely be coming back with my family and friends to enjoy more great food and service! read more

I ordered puck up tonight, tired and hungry from a long week. Sooo disappointed. The coconut shrimp was overcooked and the brocolini was charred to a stinky mess ! I will stop by and return it tomorrow. It was so bad that if I didnt know any better, I would think the chef had a personal vendetta and wanted to ruin my evening. read more

This is a casual spot with delicious food! I really like the menu options - there is a nice variety of pokes, ceviches, bowls and even some inventive options like sushi tacos - this really works! I will gladly return to taste test my way through their menu. read more

I went here with my two daughters, and we all had a great dinner. The service was great as well. We were able to sit on the nice patio near the fire, which was great ambience on a cold night. The appetizers rocked. The coconut shrimp was super crispy and off the charts great., As was the calamari, which was crispy to perfection. These come with sauces that are nice and complementary to the dishes. The poke ahi was very nice in a bed of delicious salad, with seaweed salad, ginger and other goodies. My daughter got the spicy tuna on salad which proved to be too hot for any of us. Well, the waitress did warn us about that, I was pretty surprised that that is the standard heat level because I can take a lot of heat and found it to be pretty hot, just a warning. The prices are reasonable here and I highly recommend it. read more

I was in the mood for seafood today, but I didn't feel like driving to San Francisco because it was raining hard at night; so I decided to give Pacific Catch a try which wasn't too far from my hotel. They're located at Corte Madera Town Center, next to Safeway. I was seated next to fire pit at patio which was all glassed in. Best seats in the house. Hardly noticed the rain outside because it was perfectly cozy and warm. Besides decent wine list, they have a good selection of tap beers and a full bar. Menu consisted mainly seafood dishes and appetizers, but they also offer non seafood items like steak, ribs and chicken. Food is reasonably priced and decent portions. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have any clam chowder on hand. The cold, wet weather made it quite suitable. My server suggested I try their Peruvian chupe which is seafood and rice type soup. I decided to try it, along with the fish and chips. The soup was fantastic. Very flavorful broth and not too fishy. Loved fish and chips as well. Batter to fish ratio was on point and fish tasted fresh. Nice crisp texture and really meaty. Tartar sauce and sweet spicy sauce that accompanied was a good compliment. This is a good, decent option outside of SF. Service is prompt and friendly too. Definitely coming back next time I'm in area, especially their happy hour which I hear is excellent. read more

I went to pacific catch Friday night where I sat at the bar with Jaxton bartending. It was very busy but he greeted me right away and said he would be with me in one moment, which was actually only a moment. The bartender Christine is a phenomenal person. The service and food was great. I appreciate my time here and will be back for sure.

Again one of our favorite restaurants. Yes last minute no problem using open table to make table reservations within 30 minutes. We had our usual three taco platter with black beans and choice of fries. I happened to ask the waiter choice of fries does that include the chili-lime fries which I don't recall seeing on their menu. I ordered them well it's was beyond spicy and over salted I couldn't continue eating them that way. We had our waiter that night the fires are very salty he was gracious apologetic asked would we like another side order. Well we waited 5 mins well worth it most freshest crispy fries you could ask for. Thanks for making one customer satisfaction big difference! read more

Whew is all I can say. My last 2 meals there were the worst and service to match. Super crazy because since the first day they opened on Chestnut in SF this has been my favorite place. I kind of gave up but stopped in Corte Madera today and had the BEST lunch ever. The best. In fact after I finished my lunch I ordered a little bit more. Seriously deeeelish, PC. I'm constantly on the search for seafood that will take me back to my favorite beach vacations. I didn't expect to find that here, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the seafood was pretty decent. We mostly stopped here for convenience, but I'd probably come here again. The menu is an interesting mix of sushi, Hawaiian poke, and a smattering of Korean/Thai/Baja-inspired dishes. If you're looking for authentic, your first mistake was picking a chain restaurant. 5/5 on our appetizer of ceviche! We took a risk and lowered our expectations, but it was pretty filling and had more fish and avocado than expected. Can't go wrong with ordering ceviche here if you've always wanted to try. What I loved best was the service! 5/5 to our server who was energetic, friendly, funny, and fast! The rest of what we ordered (fish tacos and mahi mahi sandwich) was a solid 3.5/5, but nothing to write home about. Tip: you can mix and match your taco fillings even when you order two, which was a nice bonus! Prices are probably higher than the food deserves, but typical for this type of place so no complaints. Overall, a good choice for chain restaurant seafood. read more

We used to go here and order from here frequently. The pros: --These guys clearly care about sustainability. They provide detailed info on the origin of their seafood, which is fresh and (according to my husband who eats seafood) really good. --Some great, interesting vegetarian options. The tofu is excellent. --Many healthful options across the board. You can "eat the rainbow" here (vegetables, not skittles). --They make one of the best spicy margaritas in the North Bay --Servers are great, knowledgable and friendly The cons: --Multiple times, the vegetarian dishes in our takeout orders had stray pieces of fish in them --At times, the fish portions are skimpy--once the salmon on a full-sized main entree take-out order weighed in under 3 ounces --The menus never change. After going there for years, we stopped because we grew sick of the same options. Also: --We had one insane delivery experience, where the order arrived missing the fish from one entree (which we had ordered on the side). Not a huge deal, and understandable since it had been ordered on the side, but when I called to let them know, I spoke with two people (the second a manager), each of whom insisted that no, they are very very careful when packing up to-go orders so there was no way that the fish was missing. Wait, what? Did they think I was executing a fish scam--calling up claiming it was missing so that I could score a free filet?? Finally, the manager angrily asked what did I want him to do about it? He scoffed when I requested that the missing fish be delivered. He said fine, he'd refund it from my order and hung up on me. Refund never happened. read more

We must have gone on a really bad day according to the reviews. It wasn't busy and it took 15 min for our waitress to get to our table. She was nice. We had high hopes though due to location and decor. My coke was flat and came from the bar so it was already mixed with whatever else was in the soda gun, i only took one sip and drank the water. Time to clean the dispensing system. Use canned soda for orders, use the gun for mix drinks... Our food came WAY too quick. My partner ordered fish and chips. 2 pieces of fish, each one about the size of 2 pizza rolls. Not fresh at all, very fishy, spicy tartar sauce and there was a hint of jalapeño?¿ Fries were nothing special. Bland and tasted like they were already prepared, got cold then put back in the fryer for our order, fryer needed an oil change for sure. Oh, and fries aren't supposed to taste like fish. I don't care for fish so I ordered the wagyu burger. The only thing I could taste was the sharp white cheddar and aoili. Mine came with the same tiny portion of bottom bag precooked refried fries. My stomach is making lots of noise as im writing this from the bathroom. For the 3rd time... This is all I've eaten today and I was JUST FINE before.. Coleslaw... Attention kitchen: DON'T PRE MIX, mix the cabbage and dressing to order because it came out soupy like caramelized onions. I don't leave reviews that often and went out of my way so management is aware. I've been a prep cook as well as a line cook so I can immediately identify what's going wrong in the kitchen. There was also a cost of living surcharge on the ticket... Just pay your staff properly and pass it along in a price increase. You're in Marin County, its ok to charge $1.00 more for most items to make up for it. Seriously.. Staff seemed uninspired across the board to impress. If they were inspired and happy we'd tip better and the increase wouldn't be necessary. Stay on top of prep, smell the fish that's prepped before you put it in the fryer or buy quality fish, clean the fryer every other day and don't cross contaminate with jalapeños lol. Drop The wagyu from the menu and just use regular beef because there's too much happening on that burger to use wagyu. Honestly not being rude or going Karen on you. Also, if the manager (assuming) is going to walk around all the tables constantly he should stop and check in on the customers. Picked up the vinegar from our table to put it back and said nothing. OH! We ordered chips and guacamole that never came but kinda glad because a previous review stated that the chips were stale. Remember, date your prepped supply and always go by the "first in first out" rule and throw away items that are expired. Manager, the staff should be excited to greet and talk to customers. Almost like there was a staff meeting and got yelled at before the shift started. Like energy attracts like energy.. Seriously not trying to make you mad but we can tell everyone is miserable. read more

Bibimpap was ok. It looked good when it came out. Too much rice and spicy sauce. It would have been better if the rice was in proportion to the rest of the ingredients.
