Every single time I go back to Pacheco Smog, it's always a wonderful experience, and this time was no different. Shervin was extremely kind, and I couldn't believe how fast I got in and out. The price was fantastic! Top-Notch, as usual! Thank you, Shervin! read more

I had a really frustrating experience with Pacheco Smog. I bought a used car that already had an aftermarket intake with a CARB sticker. When I first brought it in, the technician popped the hood, saw the intake, and still went ahead with the smog test--only to fail it on the visual. I was charged around $100 and told to fix the issue and come back, and that they'd retest at 50% off. I spent time and money replacing parts to get everything right and came back expecting that discounted retest. Unfortunately, the original guy wasn't there, and the person working that day refused to honor what I was told. Instead, he said I had to pay full price again. Yes, I'll admit I didn't have my original receipt--that's on me--but the bigger issue is they didn't even try to help. The employee refused to call the owner to verify what I was told, and apparently they don't keep any record of previous visits. No system, no accountability--just "pay again." The whole situation felt unprofessional and honestly pretty shady. It seems like the priority here is collecting as much money as possible rather than treating customers fairly. I won't be coming back. read more

It was a holiday but the owner stayed a little over so that I could bring my car in. Super friendly and great customer service.

These guys are fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and were willing to deal with my 1998 vehicle after four other shops declined with various excuses. My vehicle needs a dyno test, has oversized tires, and is a manual transmission, which requires knowledge and experience to make everything work within the parameters of the enhanced inspection. I will definitely be returning next time around. read more

This is my go to smog shop. Quick service and polite professional employees. I take all three of my cars here.

first of all Pacheco smog is overpriced by about $40 I told them my car was not ready to pass smog because the evap sensor was not ready and they told me that one won't affect the test. That was a lie.. it failed because it was not ready. the Evap sensor! So now they charge me another 40 so I have to come back after I drive a few hundred miles. They charge me 105 for nothing! shady deal ! Go to Walnut Creek Smog much better and cheaper!! read more

Pacheco Smog For the first time in my life, I failed a smog check. My car had some work done and I hadn't driven it much afterward. Got a computer error saying that the catalyst wasn't ready. The service person told me to drive it as much as I could (50-60 miles) and bring it back for a recheck. I read online that it is recommended to drive 200-300 miles over the course of a few days after the battery has been disconnected in order to make the emission monitors "ready". I went 200+ miles before bringing the car back in and I passed the second time. A bit if a hassle because I didn't know how these things work. The test and the retest themselves were quick. Total cost was $61.75 (after Yelp discount) + $35 for recheck. If I had passed the first time, it would have been $70 total (61.75 + 8.25 for certificate). Been going to Pacheco Smog for years. Consistent service, walk-ins only. read more

My preferred smog place - great service and price and ownership. Will always come back here

Busy but moved quickly. Will use again. Easy to find a $10 off coupon. Great that they're so close to my house.

Friendly and quick. They do charge 3% credit card fee. I don't like this practice that is invading businesses. It's the business's responsibility to take that charge or just say cash/debit only. read more

Prompt, smart, always get it done quickly. Good job! Keep up the good work and great customer service

This is the best car smog experience one could hope for. In and out in less than 30 minutes. I had a $10.00 coupon but a good price even without. The owner or manager -didn't ask his name or title- was one of those people you get a positive feeling from. Personable, efficient, and just a pleasant person. Also, there's a small, tidy sitting room inside and super easy parking. I'm really glad I came here this morning and pretty sure I'm going to have a great rest of day doing errands because of the positivity I received from Boss-man. read more

I told the owner I needed a smog done quickly so I could get to work on time, and he assured me he could do that even though he was short staffed. The employees and owner at this shop have always been friendly and courteous. Still an excellent experience - I don't feel like I'm being swindled. There is hardly any wait time, they are professional and friendly, and they even park your car in a way that is very easy to get out of the parking lot when they are done. Check in for $10 off and enjoy some complementary coffee if you do have to wait a few minutes. I don't see why you would go anywhere else if you need to pass smog on your car in this area. Pacheco Smog - $10 off with check-in! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Pacheco, California

Super quick service! Friendly employees. Called ahead, dropped it off and it was done in about 15 mins.

Been talking my truck to them for yrs, & Has always received quality & quick service. I'd highly recommend using them,

Death, Taxes, and being required by the DMV to get your car smogged every 2 years are some of the sure things in life. So when I got the notice recently, I scanned the reviews for a place that would do it relatively cheap, do a good job, and efficiently send me on my way. Pacheco Smog is a Star facility and is a little hard to find in the "no mans land" between Target and Highway 4, but it's well worth the time and effort (and the online coupon) to get the job done. The guy who tested my car was friendly, informative, and professional. And that's as good as it gets for keeping up my driving privilege. read more
