Don't ever use this UHaul facility! I was charged for 3 gallons of gas I never used! I tried to explain to the female clerk how her gas calculation was wrong. She refused to discuss it with me. Refused to tell me who her supervisor or boss was. Refused to tell me her name. This is only a review of the UHaul rental. We rented a Uhaul to pick up a piece of furniture at the Hospice Thrift Shop on Morello. We dropped the furniture off at a house along Arnold Dr. The total mileage was 4 miles. We got charged a $25 refueling fee because the tank went below 3/4 full. I guess we should have put in half a gallon at the 7-11 to avoid that fee, but it should be obvious from the mileage that we did not use 1/4 tank of gas. read more

BEWARE... UNSAFE. VERY DANGEROUS. We called to verify our rental and move up our pickup time by about a half hour. My wife was hung up on once, and the staff was incredibly rude to her. We drove no more than 10 miles and the tire started hissing air. We called the uhaul dealer and they informed us that it was our problem and that we would have to pay for it. Also that we still needed to make our allotted drop off time. When we got the tire off the truck it is readily apparent that the tires are old and cracking. (I have many photos) It is my responsibility to check the outside of the car for damage. It is uhaul's job to supply me with a safe working vehicle. On top of the tire, the check engine light was on saying it needed an oil change. The odometer on the truck was less than 10,000 miles and they clearly put old tires on a newer truck and have no care about customer safety. I am incredibly unhappy with both the lacking customer service and the negligence to not check the safety of the vehicle before renting it and then blaming me. It completely sidetracked our day and could have been easily avoided if employees had completed their commitments. A raised concerns with uhaul and they ignored me for a month. read more

Nice location and affordable prices. I was renting a public storage in San Leandro, in comparison with them Pacheco mini storage is way cheaper. Also almost all the unit are pull up types. Which makes the moving prices very easy and comfortable. The lady on the front is helpful and kind they also offer U-Haul trucks which makes them very comfortable location for moving process. read more

My family and I have been using this facility for our storage needs for probably over a decade. True, this is a no-frills kind of place, but I couldn't be more satisfied with the ease and convenience. The U-Haul rental is super easy and straightforward and they usually have a number of differently sized trucks available. Not sure about these negative reviews, but if you're looking for basic storage in Martinez/Pacheco or surrounding areas, this place has competitive rates and is secure as well. read more

I ordered a one-way U-Haul, and Pacheco Mini Storage was my chosen drop-off location. There was a mistake made by the pick-up location, and the drop-off was set for a somewhere else. When I arrived to drop the U-Haul off, I was greeted by an aggressively unhelpful employee who could only repeat "there's nothing I can do" in response to nearly anything I said. At one point, after pushing paperwork off the counter at my wife and repeating her mantra of "there's nothing I can do", the woman stormed out of the office and began escalating the situation by threatening to have the vehicle towed at my expense. There were no other customers on the lot, and there were two employees working. They had time to help resolve the situation, but simply chose not to, and even went the extra mile to make it the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Utterly shameful behavior. I like this storage place. Rates seem competitive. They have U-Haul trucks for rent if you need them. Family run. The only drawback is there hours are somewhat limited, and you can only come in when the front gate is open: no card/key access at other times. read more

Very poor experience. Deliberately rude and unhelpful staff. One of the women behind the counter seemed to relish being as rude as possible. Locations like these cause Uhaul's reputation to suffer. My experience at this location was in such contrast to my excellent experience at the Laurelwood, Santa Clara pickup location that I am surprised that both locations are a part of the same Uhaul company. This location's abusive service really made me regret renting a Uhaul. If you have to rent a Uhaul truck, it's worth driving a few more miles to another location to avoid threatening customer service and no-fault surcharges. read more

So I booked A Uhaul truck online from this place. I ordered a universal dolly and 2 furniture dollys and a pack of 6 moving blankets. These are all things every UHaul dealer has. I received an email confirmation letting me know I was set and ready to pick up the truck. I arrived the next morning early to Pacheco Mini Storage and was 2nd in line to pick up my rental.... This is where it went bad. The ladies in the office were extremely rude and could care less about the 10 people in line behind me to pick up. They were slow and rude. The lady handed me the keys to the Uhaul and I was biting my tongue because of her rudeness. I let her know I ordered a total of 3 dollys and a pack of moving blankets. She then told me she doesn't have any or have the time to go get the dollys or blankets.. I told her I ordered them and need them as well as the truck so we could move. She told me "Take it or leave it" I told her to keep the keys and left after almost 45mins in line. This place is bad service. I recommend you go a few more miles away and rent a haul from Concord. read more

We've been renting a unit from them for over 4 years with mostly no issues. Only raised prices one time which was very reasonable. The employees have always been courteous when I come in and make my payment. However, when I did have an issue with mice coming into my unit from a neighboring unit they were not very helpful. I was given the option to rent a new unit and that's it. To move everything to a new unit where the same could happen again did not make sense. The mouse issue resolved and they have not been back. Overall good experience with them. read more

This is a great storage facility. It's not fancy, the units are not air-conditioned, but it's very reasonably priced. They don't stick you with a bunch of late fees if you're running a bit behind. Making payments is a piece of cake, send a check or call it in, no invasive online accounts. I wish they were open later, I can only get out there on the weekends but otherwise I have no complaints and will continue to store my goods with these guys. read more

I rented a 10' box truck to make a few trips locally. The rental process was fine, but 4 hours later after only the first trip, the check engine light in the van came on. Thankfully, I was almost home, and parked the vehicle. I tried to call them to ask what to do, but they closed at 5pm, so I left a message. I had to call the official uhaul 800 number and ask what to do, and they sent out a mechanic to look at the van. He inspected it, and said there was nothing he could fix then and there, and to just drop the van back off in the morning at the location I rented it from. He did however notice that there was a brake light out, and the dash lights in the van didn't work (so it would have been difficult to drive at night anyway). I received a call in the morning from Pacheco mini storage asking about the van, and I told them the situation. They thanked me for not risking further damage to the van (did NOT apologize for the inconvenience), and said to drop it off at the scheduled time. I get there a few hours later, and talk to a middle aged woman with blonde hair. I tell her what's happened, and she takes the keys and inspects the van. She returns, and then tells me that I still owe the total price of the rental, plus $25 for "failing to clean the back of the van", which had been done before (and checked JUST prior to walking into the facility). I asked why I should be charged for renting a van that broke down on me halfway through the moving process, and she said it was "because I denied the safe coverage" option, and still technically had the vehicle for 24 hours and made a trip (it sounded like she was just trying to come up with an excuse). Then she told me, she'd waive the $25 cleaning fee as a "discount". Gee, thanks. The thing that pissed me off the most? Not one apology. No, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience", no sympathetic demeanor towards the problem, nothing. Like it's my fault the truck broke down. Unbelievable. I filed a claim with Uhaul for a refund. Will still probably rent from Uhaul again, but make sure it's at a corporate location. Will never deal with Pacheco mini storage again. read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE! Very much agree with Rhonda T.'s assessment and review below. Rented here ourselves 4 months back and only now catching up on yelp. Long story short, upon returning the truck after our move, "Melinda" misread the odometer, which in turn showed us driving 26 miles more than we actually had and costing us an additional $7. When I pointed out the discrepancy, she actually threw a fit and insulted me, saying, "You got a special price on the rental rate so you should just be thankful!" Shocked, I informed her that I was trying to keep my costs down for the move and every mile and penny counted to me. She huffed and puffed while she reentered the numbers on the computer and printed out a new invoice, and grabbed the old one from the counter to void it....actually complaining about having to DO HER JOB, despite the mistake being hers! While doing so, she threatened me with, "See if you ever get a discounted rate in here again...we'll just have to remember you next time." Wow, just wow! I phoned U-Haul Customer Service when I got home and filed a formal complaint. Even the rep couldn't believe such behavior. Being a Sunday, I heard back from the District Manager the next day. He was very apologetic for her actions and my experience, insisting such behavior is not the U-Haul way. He was going to contact the independent owner and meet with that location's crew, and schedule retraining and a skills tune-up for them. He refunded $10 to my credit card without my asking, which represented about 33% of my total bill. Rather than utilizing an independent U-Haul dealer like a mini-storage or service station again, I will be renting from CORPORATE U-Haul centers (like the one on Monument Blvd. in Concord) from now on, from which I've had consistently outstanding experiences 8-10 times in the past. Insanely bad customer service by the blond woman in her 50's, younger woman and Hispanic man, who was probably not even an employee but felt comfortable enough behind the counter to speak rudely to customers. They were belligerent, bullying, condescending, argumentative and downright rude. We had contracted to rent a large truck to move houses and upon pick up was met with three employees who immediately attacked because we were late. However we WERE NOT TOLD that we had a specific pick up time. We said early afternoon. All three people behind the counter were rude, at one point even asking if I knew what noon meant. I rented a u-haul from here and the service was so much better, convenient (less hassle), and friendly than the u-haul at Concord. The person who helped me, I didn't get her name unfortunately... but it was on Saturday, 3/25/2017... she was great. Overall, a good experience. The entire experience was like going back in time to a creepy trailer park in the back hills of Kentucky and expecting customer cordial customer service. It ain't happening! This should not be a uhaul location. They don't have an after hours drop off, so if you work during the day you will be hard pressed to return the vehicle. This works to their advantage by giving them ample opportunities to charge for extra days. The phone number they list on their receipt goes unanswered often and they blatantly lied claiming they did not have any messages, when I did leave one. Use a different location if you need a truck, I certainly wouldn't try this place for storage either after my uhaul experience. read more

Bottom line: this place is a complete and utter joke. I rented a U-Haul truck there yesterday. I got there just after they opened at 10 and there were a few other people in line ahead of me waiting. They had two people there working- a younger woman and a middle aged lady with glasses. The entire time, neither one of them so much as looked in the direction of anyone waiting, let alone say "We'll be with you in just a minute." The younger employee seemed completely indifferent to doing her job and being there (to be as kind as possible). The older woman, however, was one of the nastiest people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She got ornery with a guy in front of me who was simply asking why his price was so much higher than what he was quoted online. The excuse given by this woman was "we don't get any information from U-Haul." That's it. She then walked outside for a moment and upon returning very rudely told me to move my car because I was blocking someone from leaving. Well, fair enough there but: 1) her tone was snotty at best, and 2) because their yard is so tiny there was nowhere else to park. Apparently she felt it was just fine for the car who had parked just next to me to do so whilst blocking every one of their actual parking spots. I learned that as I was outside moving my car as Miss Grumpypants had demanded, she had literally screamed at some poor innocent older man (yes, a customer as well) for doing nothing other than asking when he would be acknowledged and helped. He had been standing there waiting longer than any of us and because he wanted to rent two actual storage units (you know, their supposed main business) as well as a truck, he got barked at. The younger woman ended up helping him and upon being asked by the man if he could follow her outside to see which storage units he would be getting replied "uhh...yeah...I guess." Contrast that with a place like Public Storage (who has two locations nearby, each within 2 miles of this place), where they will take it upon themselves to show you available units and let you select the one(s) you want. I am telling anyone reading this right now- go somewhere else unless you are a masochist who enjoys being treated like a second class citizen. Perhaps the older woman (Brenda or Melinda is it?) was having a rough morning but I have heard other horror stories about people facing her wrath and, in any event, there is no excuse for treating people who help sustain that dump afloat like garbage. If you need a U-Haul truck, do yourself a huge favor and rent it from a corporate location, or at least the place out on Monument Blvd. in Concord. I will never go near this place again. read more

Im sorry to see so few stars written here. I have been with this storage facility for about a year now and no problems. Staff is always friendly, go 49ers!!!! Facility is always clean, and as for the hours, who really needs to be in storage at night, just plan ahead and no problems. Location is great, next to freeway so easy access. Said they had plenty of storage units on phone. Got there hours later and there was only one mini left. Didn't even look up at me when I came in. Terrible people skills. Asked how to get out and they said drive around buildings where I got stuck on a turn then blocked in by one of their trucks parked in the middle of the road. They even sniveled about having to get up and move it! It was like being caught in an unfriendly border town. Stay MILES away from that nightmare!! read more

I reserved a truck for 9 am and hired movers to start bringing furnishings down 4 flights of stairs to get started when the Uhaul agents refused to honor my reservation because their computers were down and the was no way to manually write a contract. This left me stuck with no truck, men on the payroll and stuff sitting on the curb waiting to be loaded in a non existing Uhaul truck. Lucky for me Cresco was able to supply atruck on short notice and the move was completed. DO NOT TRUST UHAUL THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME OR EFFORT. read more

My truck was not there for pickup at the reserved time. They called the guy and told him his 4 hours were up. He showed up late. They told me the gas was full, but I checked and it was not full. So I told them I would not sign the "full gas" form. They said if I didn't they would call the last renter and tell him to come back and fill up the tank. I told them that would take another half hour at least, and that I had plans, people waiting, and that I had reserved the truck and it was already late. The manager, Malinda, began yelling - yes, yelling - that I was lucky I even got the truck. She said the last guy could have kept it 24 hours for the same price. I repeated I had a reservation and that the last guy only had it for 4 hours. She yelled again that I was lucky I was even getting a truck. I asked for the owner's name. She yelled that she was the manager. I again asked for the owner's name. She screamed "The owner doesn't even want U-Haul here so that won't do you no good." I strongly recommend that you do not use this location. read more

Amazing customer service. I've been complaining about U-haul's customer service for years having bad experiences in Sacramento, Concord, and a few other locations. Please take notes on this location. I was in and out quickly even thought I was 3rd in line on a busy holiday weekend. They staff was amazingly efficient, humorous, and helpful. I was skeptical because of the previous reviews but thought what the heck this uhaul is located so close to my house. I got there and the truck was already moved up and all ready to go. you can Changed the whole staff.Everyone there was unprofessional.No greeting,people on there cell phones,they wanted the customer to do there own job duties and the associate Had complete attitude and Threaten to refuse service.when asked could you come out with us to check the truck she refused bc she got mad and didn't want to do her job.The employee refused to come out with us and check the truck for any damages and then stormed out with the clip bored and said wait here I'll do it. She didn't wait for us we was left behind, we were confused!! As we were walking to the truck she walked around the truck and came back in.We acknowledge we have never been treated like this at any other u-haul place.The associate said "why did you come here then"she also made a racist comment.I asked was this a family establishment and she said Why? Because I'm White..I was very appaled and didn't have no idea where that comment came from.I'm a African American and that was very disrespectful.That is un expectable,When ask to speak to the manager the associate that was ringing me up lied and said she's out side,when we asked the other associate was she the manager she acknowledge she wasn't here today.
