I was taking care of my family's home in Issaquah when they were out abroad and unfortunately the basement flooded. In my haste to turn off the water, I inadvertently turned off the gas as well... oops. I discovered my error the next day when my shower ran out of hot water and the furnace blew only cold air. I called Pacer and realized they were quite busy as this was also the week of the deep freeze this winter. I was afraid that I would be without water or heat for an undetermined amount of time, but instead the gal who answered the phone put me on hold for only a minute, and when she came back she told me the manager, Kyle, would be coming out the same day to get me up and running again. Wow! He was there within 45 minutes, so friendly and kind, explained how the shutoff and pilot work, and indeed he got me back online very quickly. The next day I had another question and he answered right away and clarified what I needed. I can't say enough good about this company, the manager and staff. Very professional, kind and responsive. These guys have been our steadfast propane suppliers for years, and we've never had an issue. I called them for the first time yesterday to inquire about my bill, and the associate, Sydney was super polite and helpful, and scheduled for us to a remote meter installed on our tank as well as a leak test, both for free! read more

OMG Thank you,,,,,, I live in the country, difficult driveway, that makes weather an issue for delivery. Well our boiler system that heats our home and runs off the propane broke this week. The boiler repair company only way to temporary fix it was set to constant heat rather than stop once a normal home temperature until they can source replacement parts. We were warned we will consume a bunch of propane this winter and Likely end up burning hot in the house wearing tank tops and swim trunks until the boiler system replacement parts arrive.... Anyhow, with our unique situation Pacer Propane to help keep our home safe and not risk running out of propane is placing a monitor on our unit until the boiler replacement parts come. **Update 2/16/2024** Received in the mail a letter politely explaining that the cost of business is rising and that they have reviewed their records and found we had not gotten a fill in over 18 months. As such they are charging us $199 no-use fee on March 27th, 2024. (We are, very much still using our propane. We cook with it nearly daily.) Our options are: -Order a fill. -Pay $300 for them to pump out 150 gallons of propane we already own and let them take the tank. That 150 gallons is around $390 with the current $2.60/gal cost of propane. There is no offer to reimburse us for this cost. Interestingly enough, despite their claims of being transparent, no where do they state what that $199 is actually buying. No contractual terms on their end about how long that $199 lasts before they stick us with another bill. read more

I have been calling for well over a year, asking to be placed on their delivery schedule as a new customer. After providing my information, including address, I was told 3-4 times over the year that they were not accepting new clients. Finally today I received a call saying that they don't service my area for "safety reasons." It makes no sense to me as there is no danger in driving to my house. None. And why didn't they mention this the 4 other times I called and gave them my address? read more

John, the delivery guy for my pacer propane, went above and beyond to ensure I received gas when my tank ran out. Matt was responsive when I called him to complain that I was out of gas. My home needed to be heated. He offered to get John out to my home and install a monitor remotely monitoring my gas tank so that Pacer knows when I'm getting low. John was very helpful, testing for a gas leak, checking my furnace and ensuring my heat was back on. Thanks guys. read more

Thank you Pacer!! You saved the day! After a recent water back up in our basement, we needed to replace the flooring. Last night, we moved out the washer and propane dryer to prep for new flooring in the basement laundry room. We shut off the propane valve and disconnected the dryer. After a bit, we started smelling stronger propane. Uh..... that isn't residual from the disconnect. So, we shut off the propane at the tank and called Pacer after hours. Pacer services our tank and they've always been routinely great, but this is the first time we've had something emergent happen. The answering service said we needed to leave the house and they would get someone to call us within a few minutes. Two folks from Pacer called immediately. Pacer walked us through not only turning off at the tank, which we did, but turning it off at the house inlet. Husband had already opened some windows as I was on the phone, so the fam just hung out in the car for a while the house aired out. Pacer Propane came out first thing this morning and found that the gasket inside the dryer valve was original to the house and worn out. Replaced it, pressure tested our whole system and got everything up and running again. I may add the service charge was very reasonable. If anyone here uses propane in their rural homes, Pacer is pretty awesome and so responsive. read more

I have no idea how to sum up all the outrageous stuff that this company has gotten up to since I bought my home two yrs ago. During the days of the quarantine their employees who's duties brought them inside my home refused to mask up. They've only actually filled the biggish tank once to capacity( and it's their tank, that no one else will fill,), often leaving without even leaving an invoice and mostly only filling up with less than 50%. They had left my household for up to twelve days knowing that we needed fuel to heat the house, hot water, as well use the stove or other appliances. Even the lady who answers the phone during business hours is reliably unhelpful and unfriendly and unapologetic about the nearly two weeks in dec 2022 that passed (4 of them snow days) after my tank hit zero, even though they had been called and propane ordered when the tank was at 30%. They have more customers than they want I guess, which is why I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.pl read more

If you sell your house, be sure to pay attention to everything Pacer Propane does. While we were pending, they filled the tank and never notified escrow. They knew the account was transferring and somehow "missed" this fill in their records. Months later, I was billed for over $500 plus interest. Pacer Propane was not helpful in any of this and just kept asking for their money. Somehow it was my responsibility that they missed something in their records. Make sure to keep all your records and watch them closely. read more

I had two incidents in one year of a decade. In both cases, Pacer responded with reliability. First a leakage that emptied my tank in one day. Chip from Pacer came and fixed it expertly. Second today Sunday tank went to zero. Pacer answered and had Doug at my house. Doug filled up the tank and helped ensure furnace and other things all work well. The customer service for this company sucks. Like to show up when they want to and don't care on what you have to say. Alot of folks in Carnation, WA are not recommending this company. This company took 4 phone calls and over 3 weeks to come fill my tank which was leased from them. I switched to another company who has a tan and green color scheme on their tanks and found their customer service to be top notch and their propane prices much lower than pacer. I called around to ask about fixing a problem with the propane tank on my motorhome and Pacer was the only place to offer help. I met very friendly staff there, and Derrick examined and fixed my tank in less than five minutes. Professional people, great services! Totally recommend it. read more

I've been a costumer of Pacer Propane for over twenty years and have had almost perfect service, having only gone dry once in all that time and that was my mistake. They fill my pool heater tank as needed in the summer even coming out multiple times a month. Always friendly helpful folks in the office. read more

This is a letter I just submitted to the company - it serves as a review as well I am on an automatic refill / renewal plan and ran out of Propane in Early January this year. I placed a call (after hours of course), which was taken by the answering service. I relayed my plight, and the operator reached the on call person who responded in 15 minutes. My driver, Dale, was out bright and early the very next morning and refilled my tank, and restarted my hot water heater and furnace. 2 months later, I had a repeat with the same results. This time, it was Dale, my driver who called me back and we made arrangements for a 6 am delivery in North Bend. He lives in Everett. I wanted to let your company, and those that are in charge know that even though running out, and having a day or 2 without hot water and heat is frustrating and inconvenient, the immediate response and correcting the problem makes up for it. I just wanted to recognize his efforts and customer service mentality. I'm his customer, and the ownership he took for the problem (regardless of who or what was to blame) is something that is not found every day. Been with them for a year now, and have had great service in terms of keeping the tanks (we have two) full and operational. We also have had them out for installation of items related to a project. They were very responsive, helpful, and timely. Not to mention they were knowledgeable. I couldn't imagine how they could have been any better. read more

Don't deal with this propane company. They don't take care of THEIR leased tanks and will add extra charges whenever possible.

Numerous phone calls into business often result in having to leave a voice mail message that might get a reply. We own two homes, renting (1). This fact has allowed the accountant to double bill; (1) bill to the renter, and (1) bill to home owner. Upon catching the accountant doing this, there was no "oh my gosh I'm sorry", just continued poor service and no offer to credit the account. Do not ask to average your bills based on years of fuel service as the company will NOT do this for you. Suggest that you find a company other than Pacer if you can. read more

We've had service with Pacer Propane since 1999. Contrary to a couple other negative reviews I've read, we've had nothing but great experiences with Sandy in the front office as well as the couple different drivers over the years. During a recent cold snap, our tank ran out and they made a special effort to make a delivery that day (still snowy and icy out). Frosting on the cake, when the bill was due, THEY CALLED ME to see if I needed to spread it out over a couple different payments rather than take a large hit to the credit card in one month.
