Fresh squeezed OJ

The food is so good. Service is excellent. We've eaten before but this was the first time we stopped for breakfast. We split an order of pancakes- delightful! I had 2 baleadas with avocado- I should have added the egg, but oh so good. Everything is homemade down to the fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Came here for breakfast, food and service was great! Menu was somewhat limited, but we will come back again for dinner.

The sauce was incredible--you'll want every last drop. Absolutely standout dish. We also had the shrimp tacos, which were just as delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. Set in the center of a quiet shopping center, I HAD to post this review because I need people to know this exists. While I was expecting typical guacamole, tacos, chimichangas, and burritos, this was NOT that. The menu gives off an upscale Mexican vibe that is completely unexpected. The dining area is much larger than we realized upon entering the restaurant. We were given homemade chips with salsa and salsa verde. We started with the queso with chorizo. It arrived in a little skillet with soft tortillas for dipping. The dip was basically all cheese and chorizo. It needed to be lifted or pinched into the tortilla and was not dippable. I wasn't a huge fan of this, but this was the only thing I didn't love. I then did the roasted beets with cream cheese, avocado, pistachio, jalapeños, and fig reduction. This was out of this world with fresh ingredients and an amazing blend of flavors. For my entree I did the Pollo Poblano which was thinly sliced chicken breasts with roasted poblano peppers, cheese, crab, and a tequila cream sauce. It didn't come with any sides so I did the rice and beans. The rice was creamy and had bits of corn and herbs. It was almost like a risotto. The refried beans were black beans rather than your typical pinto beans. My bff had the veal enchiladas and said they were okay, but I didn't try them to give a full synopsis. We were too full to do dessert, but I had this chicken 4 days ago and I am still fantasizing about it. I need to go back. Definitely check this place out!

My dad didn't feel like Mexican so when we got home, I mentioned it to my husband and he wanted to try it out. When we got there, there were a couple of tables taken, and they were all speaking Spanish. Good sign #1. The place was clean, bright, and cheerful. Good sign #2. The server (? He seemed to be doing every job there) greeted us and told us to sit wherever we wanted and then asked us what we wanted to drink. I got water and my husband ordered horchata. It was really good and not too sweet like it can be. I ordered a huarache with carnitas and my husband ordered chilaquiles with red and green sauce. The chilaquiles were so good he had them gone in a couple of minutes. I didn't have a high expectation of my lunch because it was not on a masa base, it was a tortilla. I still ordered it because I figured the tortilla would be a lighter meal for lunch and I wouldn't feel as drained as if it was masa. My huarache had a base of some of the best refried beans I've had in a long time and let me tell you about the carnitas! In the area we used to live in, carnitas was generally served as shredded pork. Here, it was chunks of meat and I was a little anxious that they would be tough. But oh, the meat was so tender! I barely touched it with my fork and it fell apart! I barely had to chew it. I was really only chewing the tortilla. It was flavorful without being too spicy, so the taste of the carnitas could shine through. Honestly, this place is a little unassuming hole in the wall type of place in a weird strip mall that also has a surgery center and a gym in it. But you know, that's the kind of place that outshines any big places.

Free Chips & Salsa: comes as a free starter. the green sauce is my favorite. the chips do have some beans on them. Tortilla Soup: very good. me and my sister split this. for the price and size, i'd say very worth it. Appetizer Sampler: included corn, empanadas, queso, nachos, pico and guac. everything on this platter was great! if you have a party willing to share, I think this is very worth it for the amount, variety, and price. Cheese Enchiladas: I get the verde sauce. came with three enchiladas. definitely enough for one person. very good and typical enchilada. Waited a VERY long time and noticed a few other tables around that arrived before us, but one table was visited by someone who seemed to be a manager. She was polite to them, but did not approach our table. After about an hour the meal arrived before the tables around us. The menu stated that my dish came with jalapeño and chimichurri, but they were missing. Brought this to waitress' attention and she said that was not accurate. Grabbed a menu to show her and she said that "it was an old menu and we don't include those items and I'll tell the manager for you." The waitress never offered a compliment to these missing items and I never heard from a manager. The price was above average, the food quality and flavor missed the mark, and service was dismissive.

We were heading to the local brewery after work on a Friday night and wanted to bring food for dinner. We decided on La Frontera for convenience as it's only right down the street. I decided to call our order in ahead of time and asked to have it ready for pick up at 6:30pm. The person who answered the phone was very nice and helpful, however, I was informed pick up orders must be made online. The online ordering system was very user-friendly and fully customizable. We ordered a Chicken Burrito Ogado which is a wet burrito with spicy green sauce and Carnitas Nachos. Upon checking out we discovered an "Online Order fee" which is discouraging since they don't allow for orders to be placed over the phone. Our food was ready right at 6:30 when I set the pick up time for. The building looks to be small and there is not much room for multiple people to stand while waiting for to-go orders. Both items looked very appetizing and there was plenty of food to split between the two of us. The burrito was huge and was STUFFED with rice, beans, and chicken. Cheese, cilantro, and spicy green sauce topped the burrito. We both loved it and would definitely order again. The nachos on the other hand were a totally different story. Great tortilla chips, lots of toppings, and very good flavor, however, the carnitas that topped the nachos were all grizzly and chewy fat making them almost inedible. We had to pick around all the fat (I can't even call it meat because there was virtually none). This rating very easily could have been 4 stars if received edible carnitas nachos. There were lots of positive highlights from our visit, and only two negatives; one being more extreme than the other. I'm not going to let this experience discourage me from ordering here again. Next time we decide to frequent the local brewery, since our experience was more positive than negative, I'll try a second time to see if this was just a one-off in terms of protein quality.

We love locally-owned places! We saw this place open up about a year ago and knew we had to try it!…read moreWe tried ordering from here a few times. Closed Mondays, don't take orders after 730..etc. finally got it and regretted it! Do not eat here. Im surprised they have so many good reviews here and on other sites, but the food was terrible! If you look at my other reviews, I very very very rarely complain about the food! So you know it's bad... We got the Mi Casa Su Casa App Combo with 2 tamales, 2 quesadillas, and 2 empanadas. Wow. Tamales were dry, quesadillas were solid, and the empanadas were terrible! I still do not know what was in them. Fajita combo was meh... nothing special, very overcooked even for pickup! Guacamole was spicy!!! Like mouth on fire! Mexican sweet bread was moldy, im pretty sure it's supposed to be white on top without the green things growing out of it... ill try and add the pictures. Wife and FiL got chicken fajitas, both said meh. Semi spicy too.. Omg the shrimp tacos. I brought it into the house and the first thing she said from the other room within 3 seconds what's that smell! Apparently the shrimp was rotten and she said they smelled bad! Had to toss it instantly. I do not have a sense of smell lol! Kids got tiny quesadillas that they charge $14 for! Like the small 5inch ones! Ridiculous. Tasted good. So did the chicken ones. All in all I would avoid like the plague. I pass by multiple times a day and wonder how they are on business when no one is ever inside... If you value your health don't come here.
