The service used to be great here when John was doing the service himself. Since he started hiring employees it has gone downhill. Some guys have been better than others.
Today my wife received a txt message telling us it was time to replace the pool filters. The cost was $500 for the 4 filters and then another $110 for the labor. Out of curiosity, I went online to see what the filters sold for. I was really surprised when I found 20 + companies selling the for $149 dollars for all four filters.
When I told John I thought the cost was a little excessive, I was told I could buy them and install them myself. When I said OK, I can do that, the next text said "OK. We are not going to service your pool anymore." He also stated I'm wasting his time and taking the extra work away. If his cost for the filters would have been $300 a 100% markup, I would have given him the work.
Additionally, we when I looked at the pool today it is dirty and doesn't look like it has been swept in some time. Take a look at the photos.
We have been using P is for Pools for around 6 or more years. This is the way he is treating long term customers.
I'm sure there are other pool service companies that will be more than happy to get my business. read more
