Placed a to go order for banana spring rolls and lo mein with vegetables. Was given a pick up time about 20 minutes later. Arrived 5 minutes after the pickup time and order was not ready. Several others were also waiting on to go orders. After a very lengthy wait and asking repeatedly about the order status it finally came out only to be told they're out of lo mein (????). I was offered fried rice instead. Thinking this would be a quick substitute I said fine. Yet I was subject to another very lengthy wait, while the ice cream that comes with the banana spring rolls was melting. By the time I finally got a complete order, it had been almost an hour and a half from the time I placed the order, for an order that was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. The ice cream was melted and the banana spring rolls and vegetables were lukewarm. The only positive was that I actually received a complete order and the spring rolls were still delicious after reheating (hence the 2 stars). Based on this experience though I would not return. I quit going to PF Chang's awhile ago because they used to be so great with food allergies and the last two times we went I was told by the waitress that there was nothing I could order. Not true... but she was either untrained or unprofessional. Last night I decided to order delivery and the food came without any sauce. It was the Budda's feast but completely dry and barely steamed raw vegetables. I ended up having to cook the almost raw vegetables and make my own sauce. After waiting over an hour for my food! I went to this restaurant on a Monday evening while we were at Destiny...the service and food were excellent. We started with chicken lettuce wraps, they were excellent. My kid ordered the sesame chicken, she loved the sauce and freshness of the chicken along with the fresh broccoli. I had a couple of the red peppers and they were some of the freshest I have ever tasted. I ordered the kung po chicken, this was seasoned wonderfully, just the right amount of heat. Overall the food and service was spectacular. An area of concern, that does not detract from the review was an incredibly rude group of four downstate patrons that were seated behind us. They were loud and had consistent use of vulgarity and an incredibly offensive term for women. As I left, I had a few choice words for them. However, I was disappointed that no one from the restaurant addressed them, as I know they heard it. Not sure what the company policy states. read more

My parents and I checked this place out while we were visiting Syracuse and it wasn't that bad compared to the other chains. From my past experiences, PF Chang was known for it Sally foods. Majority of the dishes I've always ordered and tasted were overly salty. However, the chain in Syracuse wasn't that bad. The facilities are well taken care of, the restaurant itself is clean and gives off a nice cozy ambiance for all types of guests. I definitely think it's a great place for a nice family meal if you're looking to try out some Chinese food. I believe they also serve a small variety of Korean food, but I haven't tried it yet since I usually go to Korean restaurants that specialize in that culture's dishes. The staff here were friendly and the waiter was really good at recommending some new dishes or favorites by other customers, which was a real nice insight. It's also located in the Destiny USA mall, so if you're looking for desserts outside the restaurant, there are a variety of places to walk to, such as King fu tea right upstairs! read more

The restaurant is located in "The Canyon"" at DestinyUSA, a massive atrium featuring many upscale dining establishments. P.F. Chang's dining room opens into The Canyon, giving you a view of passersby. Inside, the soft-lit, modern minimalist design features Asian accents. Many of the dining establishments in DestinyUSA are very popular late in the week and on the weekend. So, you may have to wait a while to be seated. Once seated, the service is fast. They're also fast to sell you on a featured appetizer or beverage. The menu has what you would expect from a typical Asian-American eatery, though the "Chang's Specialties" section of the menu offer unique Asian-American fusion choices. It's par for the course that you star with their famous chicken lettuce wraps: wok-seared chicken, mushrooms, green onions, and water chestnuts over crispy rice sticks, with lettuce wraps. The portions are disappointing and the food is generally bland. The Singapore Street Noodles I ordered had very little flavor to them (despite being a curry), and they were stingy on the mediocre vegetables. To help with the taste, they offer some tasty dipping sauces that you can use with most of the dishes. Given the portions, I feel the prices are a little steep. Ultimately, the overall experience builds expectations for food that doesn't deliver. I'd say, go for the drinks and an appetizer. read more

Quick comments here. Waited for ten minutes until a waiter came over after being seated. Almost walked out. Wished we had. Food was very good. However it came out a little bit colder than expected, maybe it sat for a bit which seems to fit into our experience. Service was terrible. Nobody paying any attention. Lots of people standing, but only our waiter seemed to be moving. In addition, we were spilled on or hit several times, with nothing more than a quick apology as they moved along. Terrible. Avoid. Was great but not anymore. I used to love frequenting a PF Changs when I lived in Florida. This location however was terrible. I went on Sunday lunchtime and the place was empty. The hostess complained when I asked to sit at a booth by the window. The food came out quick which was good. But both the honey chicken and Mongolian beef were fatty and tasted weird. Not good weird but something is off weird. When the bill came I found out they charged $4.50 for an extra fried rice but didn't tell us and didn't bring the white rice. My girlfriend and I both had stomach problems that evening after dinner. Stay away! read more

I never knew that PF Changs could be bad. It was a terrible experience. We walked on a sticky floor to the bar, where we sat at a sticky and dirty table. We waited for a long time to be greeted by the bartender, who was dry and unfriendly. We ordered two appetizers, Kung Pao and Fried Rice entrees. The Kung Pao was vinegary. The fried rice was greasy. The Northern Spare rins were dinky and dry, probably because they were dinky. The only thing good were the dumplings. The bartender never came to check on us. After driving six and a half hours from the city, we just wanted to have a good meal and continue our trip to Rochester. Needless to say, that was a waste of $62. Sad the PF Changs aren't the same in Syracuse as they are in Rochester. I give you guys two thumbs down. read more

After going wedding dress shopping with one of my best friends for her big day, we decided to grab dinner at PF Chang's. She ordered the " Singapore Street Noddles," and I got " Pad Thai," because I have a big whopping addiction to that particular dish. Also, we ordered a bottle of rosé - I can not remember what the vineyard's name was because this is a late review. Anyway, the wine was delish so if you see a rosé on the menu give it a try. Our entrees were served in big bowls. Also, they gave us plates so we can dish the food out as the servings are big. This worked out perfectly because we always share our food. I had a portion of her " Singapore Street Noddles " which was delish, not overpowering on flavors, and a mild amount of heat to it. My order of " Pad Thai" was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Honestly, this is one of the best versions I've had of the dish. This is saying something considering I go to noodle joints and know a good " Pad Thai " when I taste one. As reluctant as I was to come into PF Chang's, I'm glad that I gave it a try, and plan to eat here again. read more

When we first moved to Syracuse, my husband and I would come here on Fridays for happy hour for the food and drink specials. It isn't the best happy hour compared to other places price-wise, but the food is delicious, the bartenders are great, and the atmosphere is nice. Since then, we have been here at times for lunch or dinner, though we always sit at the bar for convenience. For appetizers, our number one favorite is the crab wontons. We get them every single time we come here, they are that good. There is a good bit of crab meat inside, and the accompanying sauce (on the plate) is a good flavor compliment. We have had a few issues with the dumplings - a number of times they come out luke-warm instead of steaming fresh. They always bring us fresh ones, though, when we call it to their attention. For entrees, our favorite is the almond & cashew chicken. The chicken is cooked perfectly, and the flavors are all there. The specialty cocktails that we have had have also been made really well. The cucumber agave fresco is my favorite; it is sooo tasty and refreshing. They do have lunch specials Monday-Saturday, which include a choice of soup (hot and sour or egg drop) and rice, along with the entree you choose. I recommend the egg drop soup. It is very good. If you like super "hot", then the hot and sour would be good. It is just too hot for my taste. You do get fortune cookies at the end, which I always find fun. Overall, it is a chain restaurant, but a good one! The bartenders are friendly and attentive as well as good mixologists, service has always been good, and our food has always been delicious. It can be on the pricey side, so be aware before you choose here. Tip: Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 3-7. I would check their website for the specials if you are interested, because there is a tiered system - certain things are more "on special" than others, if that makes sense. read more

I have been to several PF Chang's around the country so I have a pretty good basis for comparison of what to expect, in addition to just general customer service expectations. This location is disappointing, which is sad since we need more places like this around Syracuse. It looks beautiful and the portions are appropriate (from a health perspective); however, service is slow and the food seems packaged. I guess that makes sense in a chain, but not at these prices. I had the Dali chicken; it had a nice kick to it, but the chicken was dry. We went for an early lunch (11:30) and were only the second group in the restaurant when we arrived so we were seated fast. It was my wife, daughter, & myself. Everyone was polite and courteous, even though it seemed painfully forced for some (not all by any means). It took 1/2hr for the salads to come out and almost 45min for the main entrees, which usually isn't bad at a sit down restaurant, but it was lunch and by the time we ordered the kitchen probably only had our order and 1 other. The server was nice, but he didn't really refill drinks well or provide much status. Also, the adult meals came with a salad. He should have asked if we wanted the child meal brought out with the salads or if she could wait. Granted, we should have thought to ask him to do that, but forgot and we weren't providing a service. As I mentioned, it was pretty much 45 min before she got her kid's meal. On the salad front, the one that comes with lunch meals, it's pretty basic. That would be fine and all, but they also didn't fully rinse the cleaner off so our salads tasted like the cleaner. It took so long for the salads to arrive that we didn't want to send them back and really just picked at them. Oh well, there are plenty of other options at Destiny! read more

Had to cater for office in Syracuse area. I should add I don't leave in the area. I was concerned because the order was over 300.00 and I needed by 11:15am. How I always rate my dining experience is food and service experience. Food: 4/5 Apps: chicken lettuce wrap and calamari Entree: Mongolian beef, lomein, Cantonese lemon style chicken Everything was really good. The best was the lemon chicken. Only reason why I got it was my server recommended it. I'm glad I got it, it was fresh and the broccoli I salad on top went well with the lemon dressing over the chicken. Service: 5/5 I wasn't expecting great food or service after reading so many poor reviews, but is was surprised in a good way. My server was ontop of refills, I had a refill sometimes before my glass was even empty. He recommended dishes to get and which one he didn't think we would like because I'm not a spicy food fan. Amazing experience! My first time here and I was beyond impressed! Our waitress, Julia was awesome, very friendly, and helpful! I had the shaking beef with white rice, better than I could have ever imagined and even the rice was delicious. We had the dynamite shrimp, which was in fact dynamite, and the egg roll with this awesome spicy dipping sauce, and my husband had on of their specials. We both cleaned our plates because it was just that delicious! We were planning our next trip in the middle of eating our entrée! In conclusion, the food can out fast and hot, our waitress was outstanding, the mood in the restaurant was great and we will be back next weekend! The Good: The staff were very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere was nice. They had quite a variety on the menu. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, the price seemed to be within a dollar of local restaurants. The Bad: The price of the appetizers seemed a bit high. The Pad Thai with chicken did not taste anything like Pad Thai. I have had that dish hundreds of times throughout the country/world and the closest thing that I could say that it resembled was Lo Mein. The dish was edible, but sadly, not what I ordered or expected. As chain restaurants go, this one has consistently been a decent option for fusion Chinese food that has shown greater care taken in its menu and recipes than your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. There always seems to be a promotion going on besides their loyalty program and most dishes won't disappoint. The menu is constantly evolving to keep it fresh. However, when wait staff gets in the weeds you'd be better off strolling the mall than taking a table. Don't expect ultra authentic dishes. Most Chinese food is adapted to local palates. I finally got to PF Changs for the first time, and honestly, with all the build up, I expected to be disappointed. This was a last minute schedule change, and at 6:30 on Saturday night, we only had a 30 minute wait for a table. Once we sat, our server came over to greet us within 60 seconds. We weren't sure what we wanted to drink yet, so he brought us some waters to start. Our whole experience was great service, constantly checking in and very prompt when we asked for something. We ordered 2 appetizers, Changs Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. They were both amazing. The flavors were intense and exciting. For dinner I ordered the Crispy Honey Chicken. Wow! All white meat chucks of chicken crispy fried and topped with a light coating of sweet honey glaze. This was served on top of a bed of little crispy noodles with rice on the side. Even the plain white rice was awesome! One of my friends ordered the Mongolian Beef, which I tried. So yummy! I expected a high bill. We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, a signature cocktail, 2 appetizers, and 3 entrees. I was pleasantly suprised it was only a $90 check. This place ruined Chinese food for me. I have ordered their chicken pad thai noodles a few times, and I remember one of the times the dish was frozen in the middle... They don't have the best pad thai, and I have ordered it since then and it has been fine. This place is good. It's just not all that impressive or memorable. This review pains me to write. We tried to have our anniversary dinner at this restaurant and got there around 4 pm. We like to eat early. There were two tables occupied at that time , but we were informed that there was an hour wait for a table and to come back in an hour. This made little sense to us ,despite our hostess, who was quite indifferent verging on rude, indicating that call aheads , none of whom were visible had priority. This restaurant does not take reservations and it appeared to us that we could have easily been seated and out before others arrived. We have frequented this restaurant often in the past and were looking forward to this our first post vaccine dine in experience. Very disappointed. Always a decent experience. But that's all it is... Decent. It's like they take one step forward and two steps back. Entrée, Pad Thai, was good for what it was: a good portioned, non-authentic Thai dish. Had a good enough flavor especially when I added some of the lime juice. My girlfriend's entrée was the Shanghai noodles with beef. She said they weren't that good but I tried a bit and they tasted just fine with me! We asked for some siracha and they definitely boosted the flavor. The appetizer we got was the chicken satay... It was questionable at best. The meat looked like it was just barely cooked all the way through; we each took a few bites and were too skeptical to risk having any more. I think the peanut sauce is pretty fantastic though, without a doubt. read more
