I haven't been to PF Chang's in many years. I remember their food being pretty good, but tonight, everything we ordered was very underwhelming. We ordered 2 appetizers: Poke Bowl and Kung Pao Dragon Roll. We sent the Kung Pao Dragon Roll back and got the Lobster Avocado Roll. It would be generous for me to give the appetizers 2 stars. My friend and I shared the Mongolian Beef and Chang's Lobster and Shrimp Rice. The Mongolian Beef had great flavor but was served with brown rice that was under cooked. The Lobster and Shrimp rice was bland, dry and disappointing. Although the food was terrible, we received outstanding service. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio. My favorite menu item was the mango flavored iced tea. I doubt I will be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated for 6pm on a Saturday night! Our server, Mark, was great! Attentive and friendly, he made sure our needs were always met. Lettuce wraps are a must for starters. Every time. The red sangria was very tasty and my husband enjoyed his Long Island ice tea. I'm such a creature of habit but when something is good, why change? My go-to's are shrimp fried rice and crispy honey shrimp. Today, I went with crispy honey shrimp and brown rice. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size; I left stuffed. My family members enjoyed their selections, too... orange chicken, chicken fried rice (adult and kids' portion). Great food and great atmosphere! Today, the Durham, NC location, and our server Megan, we're right on time. Preface by saying my family had just had a very bad experience at a retailer nearby. We were in terrible and defeated moods but wanted to try and have some sort of birthday meal for my son. He has severe cerebral palsy, and just turned 20. Taking him out, especially with COVID doesn't happen often and is very stressful. The second... literal second... that we walked in we were not only greeted and seated but they made sure the table accommodated my son's wheelchair (which is large) and... this is the part I appreciated most.... that he was not where others might bump into him or be in his face. We didn't ask for this... they just understood. I can't tell you how much that very tiny gesture meant. That was just the beginning. Our server Meagan was beyond sweet. Not the kind of sweet from someone who is just trying to get a good tip, this was from the heart, genuine restoring faith in humanity sweet. Of course the food was great, and by this time our entire moods were lifted. We let the manager know, who was equally sweet! Once again, not that kind of niceness that you can tell is from obligation. He thanked us and explained they saw us coming in with my son and immediately started getting a table ready. I was floored. We live in a small town that is familiar with my son. We don't travel often and normally larger areas are very difficult and stressful for him. It may not seem like much but today, every one in that establishment was perfect and the atmosphere was on time! We've always loved the food, but today ensured we will most definitely be making the trip to come back. read more

We haven't been to P.F. Chang for a long time. While shopping nearby, we came here for lunch. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and we enjoy it. We ordered lettuce wrap with chicken, dimsum, and short ribs fried rice. Our server was courteous, friendly, and attentive. Food was mediocre. Lettuce wrap was refreshing, but chicken was cooked too much, and it tasted burnt. Dimsum was made fresh and okay. Short ribs Fried rice was mediocre. At last the server gave us a check but with a touch less payment QR code. We thought it was funny since we had been in contact the whole time. Anyways, they charged us a 2 dollar service fee for the QR payment. We thought it was pointless. Being charged $2 (it's small) didn't seem fair. read more

Hmmm, we had family in town yesterday and we came to eat at this restaurant. Two of us ordered the salt pepper prawns, which were sooooo salty. The calamari were super greasy, not good at all. Rest of our food was pretty good, especially the dumpling soup. The server was a young lady, full of enthusiasm and great customer service and we tipped her well. Poor service. Poor food. Will not be returning. It took 5 to 10 minutes for our waiter to greet us. Then, at the end of our meal, he passed by our table, looked at our finished plates, and ignored us. The ignoring behaviour continued, as he was too busy talking to his coworkers. We had to go to him to get our check. The menu is about 75% smaller than it used to be. And, it's pitiful. The eggplant stir fry was DISGUSTING. PF Chang's is probably one of my favorite restaurants. I am not usually a huge fan of chains, but I truly like their food. I have been eating there for so many years that my favorites throughout the years have actually been taken off the menu (Spicy Ground Chicken and Eggplant and Double Pan Fried Noodles). Luckily these recipes are still on file, so I can still order these wonderful dishes whenever I visit any PF Chang's location. The menu is HUGE and has numerous offerings for any diet. They offer lunch combos that won't break the bank and awesome meal and dessert options throughout the day. They also have a number of tasty appetizers including their lettuce wraps (available in chicken or vegetarian). They also offer a nice Happy Hour special where a number of starters and small plates are discounted. PF Chang's is able to handle a variety of party sizes in case you want to do a work outing or just grab a drink and appetizer at the bar. We had lunch here on a very rainy afternoon. Our server was great. I ask her what she recommended and her suggestions were all winners. She was attentive to our needs and did a great job. The food was also very good. We started with a California roll. That wasabi was STRONG !!! I loved it !! My entree was the Korean BBQ chicken with brown rice. Let the three star rating be a warning.... No option for negative stars so I'll give it a one-star review. 1st - I was traveling in from out of town and wanted to grab takeout so could hit the road quickly. I called in an order for pick up. Plans changed when the family member we were meeting was late. So we decided to eat in and wait for them. I told them my order 15 min later they tell me they never received my order. 2nd - that's fine so I just order in while I wait. 40min later the ramen I order finally comes out. 3rd - went to use the restroom before I left and had to snake through the tight hallway against the traffic of the people coming to pick up take out orders to get to the restroom. Once in the restroom there is a line. Everyone is trying to use one stall because the other two stalls are out of toilet paper. 4th - one top of all this from the hostess to the wait staff everyone seemed stressed out and annoyed. My mom and I came here after wedding dress shopping and we had a great experience for our late lunch! We both ordered a cup of the egg drop soup which is the best I've ever had. I love that it had vegetables which add depth and complexity to the soup. And the wontons they come with were crunchy and tasty. We then got an order of the crab wontons and they were really good I could actually taste the krab inside instead of just cream cheese! And the chile sauce they came with was a great upgrade to standard duck house. For my entree I ordered the spicy chicken bowl and my mom got the lobster sushi. The spicy chicken bowl was pretty good, I liked the sauce it had but wish it was a bit spicier. The sushi was really tasty, it was topped with avocado slices and looked really nice. The whole meal was really well presented we were impressed. We'd definitely come back! Definitely an upgrade from the standard for American Chinese food! read more

Maybe it's the COVID thing, and restaurants that used to be passable are just bad now. Full disclosure, I'd only eaten takeout from the Charlotte, NC location before, and the lettuce chicken wraps are like a crunchy umami crack. We got them as an appetizer on Friday. But, dining in-person here was just... lousy. Our arrival was to an empty dining room, where we were asked if we had reservations. There was a pause after we said that we didn't, which signalled to me that something was probably wrong. With an empty dining room, and the lack of reservation obviously throwing a wrench into the works (literally, there was a glance exchanged between hostesses, and a sort of verbal exchange like "I think we can fit them here, it'll be okay," which instantly sent the vibe that we were a tad short-staffed). The ten minute wait for our obviously over-seated server proved us right. And honestly, that guy was apparently the only one in the joint who decided he was going to work hard that evening- running between a section inside and the patio seating where we had been deposited, he did his best to make sure beverages were topped off, and that we weren't getting impatient waiting for our order to hit the table. The kitchen did the poor guy no favors by plating uncooked rice noodles with a ladle of sauce and veg, and serving it up as "Singapore Street Noodles." Seriously, it was like a large glob of Top Ramen, unwrapped from the package, left uncooked but hopefully under a heat lamp with enough sauce that it would eventually approximate Hong Kong style noodles. My honey chicken was sweet, crunchy, mall-food-court goodness. The kid's Lo Mein dish was a plentiful plate of Chun King quality. Honestly, my wife and I remember PF Chang's being better, from a food perspective. The impression from actually sitting down to eat: the place looked, well, run-down. Things looked dirty. The Mrs. often checks the food grade at the door- and while a 91 is still an "A," it raises suspicions as to what exactly got them dinged. Clearly, there's a lack of attention to detail going on at several levels. I guess I'm missing the days when mall-parking restaurants were better. We may try another PF Chang's in the future, but I'm not sure it will be this one. read more

Ugh...... A once juggernaut now a simple concept. Menu's are now just a white piece of paper laminated by an office supply store. Wish I could pay simple prices for the simple menu, nope. $50 easy for 2 people and portions of old now way long gone, way long gone. Yep I repeated it, because portions are way long gone! Server not good, had to wait and wait just to get water. Took so long just to get our order taken we ordered dessert at the same time and we were told we have to wait until we get our meal. What?? Yep, he would not put in our dessert order until we got our food. Like he was going to pick up the check, which he did not. Forgot our water refill multiple times. Overall it may be 6-9-12 months before we come back, time to forget this and hope for improvements. read more

Instead of adding more spices already present in the dish, they opted to pour what tastes like half a bottle of tabasco into my orange chicken. Hello?? I realize those who show up to work have a hard time with crowd/ server ratios. My server was hospitable but not very attentive. I was able to sit outside but it felt like I was eating from the parking lot. Attentiveness needs to accompany kindness. I left an 8% tip but usally 20% with acknowledgment of neglect which never happened; I had to remind and bring things to his attention. In return I got his employee discount of $7+. Last night was my first visit to a P.F. Chang's, anywhere. I'm so impressed that I'll make a point to check out other PFC's closer to home. I started with a cup of Hot & Sour Soup, $3.95. Wow! I wish all H&SSs were that good. No noodles were served with it; nor did I ask for any. It seemed to be plenty good without the noodles. Next up was the Pepper Steak. The PS on the menu did not have a red chile beside it, so, when I had ordered, I asked the waiter, Dave, to add some heat to it. He did not disappoint. Also, Dave had asked me if I wanted Brown or White Rice with the PS. White. So out came a generous plate of PS with a large bowl of WR. My only complaint is that most of the Pepper pieces and Steak pieces were too large for my mouth, and had to be cut up further. Add a little Soy Sauce (Tamari would have been better), and it was wonderful. I ate half last night at the table, and half late this afternoon. Since I didn't stuff myself with the entree, I had room left and requested a dessert menu. OMG! P.F. Chang's? P.F. Chocolate's might be more appropriate. Four items on the dessert menu; two of them are patently decadent Chocolate creations. The Great Wall of Chocolate or the Vietnamese Chocolate Lava Cake? The GWOC would be too large for my stomach, and probably qualifies as the Eighth Deadly Sin. So VCLC is on. And a cup of Coffee. And please freshen up my Ice Water. Both Hot Coffee and Ice Water are required for proper enjoyment of such a Chocolate dish: * A generous sip of Coffee primes the palette for what is to come. * Then take a bite of the dish and savor it gently. * Then a drink of Ice Water... like an apology for assaulting the palette with such decadence. * Repeat. So the VCLC is ready to be devoured, and is, as described above. Presented a la mode, it was simply wonderful. Like a true volcano, the caldera begins to collapse. See my photos. And the Coffee was equally good. I asked Dave what kind it was, and he sheepishly admitted that they bought it at the nearby Starbucks. No matter. It was good, and I'll repeat it whenever I have dessert at the Durham P.F. Chang's. And nibbling on the Blueberries and Strawberry slices afterwards was the crowning touch. When I return to Durham, I'll be sure to do PFC's again. read more

My dad and I came to PF Changs for dinner tonight and the food was great as always but service was terrible. Mind you, were in a pandemic so the restaurant was barely full. Our waitress had an attitude the entire time and was not friendly. She rarely came to check on us and we actually had another waitress and the manager help us out because she wasn't around. Often times we were looking for her because we needed items at the table. Would I go back? Yes - but only for takeout. Such a let down because the food is really good but the service was nothing to rave about. read more
