Was looking for something new and stumbled upon this spot. It has plenty of parking and seating in the inside. They offer bulk bowls, ramen and poke bowls. I like how they have signature bowls but also give you the opportunity to build your own. Service was cool and I enjoyed my food. I do wish I had more yum yum sauce. Prices are very affordable

Uber eats was having some BOGO deals on this spot. I ordered a few things to try and overall the food lacked flavor. The Katsu box had very little sauce on it, which is disappointing when you have rice. The bulgogi rolls were heavy cabbage flavor and the chicken dumplings were average. They got my order correct but I won't be coming back.

In full transparency, we were here for a preview event before the official grand opening. We had been to the Bul Box in Morrisville and enjoyed it. On this visit, we got Thai Box with white rice, a California Box with noodles, and two fountain drinks. Both boxes were tasty and filling, but I was hoping for a little more peanut and lime flavoring in the Thai Box. The tea and fruit fountain drinks were refreshing and delicious. We will be back.

So this place was under construction forever, so when a friend and I saw that it was open, we instantly wanted to go in and try it. It smelled very new (as expected) and because it was so fresh and new, I wouldn't consider it a great atmosphere just yet. Not trying to bash, just stating as is. We ordered a Seoul Box to split as we already had dinner plans but we wanted to go in just to check it out. The kimchi was spicier than expected, which isn't a bad thing, just beware of that. The food was alright, nothing to rave about but it wasn't bad. Just an average bowl place to be honest.

I had been here plenty of times before. Aiming to take down the menu one item at a time. But I eventually fell off coming regularly. Though even though I haven't been in a hot minute, ITS STILL ONE OF THE BEST! I got the Shanghai Box this go-around and it was really good! The ginger chicken was skillfully crafted and the accompanying vegetables added variety. I'd love to know the flavor origins of each of the boxes. Although, I'm not a big fan of the cucumbers. The atmosphere is rather nice as well with relatively fast service (but the great food is what I truly cared about). Overall the meal was fire, and theres so much more to eat here as well! I highly recommend.

The flavors are nice, and definitely asian inspired. Decent portions, but not huge. The size of the pieces inside each bowl was a bit large and hard to manage. Cucumber quarters and chicken strips aren't the easiest to manage in one bite with chop sticks.

Always yummy ! I sure our community support this restaurant to me is always a treat !!!!

I was kind of disappointed in my Bulbox. While it was edible, it lacked flavor. I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit.

The ambience is beautiful and cozy, and the customer service was so warm and attentive. We sat upstairs in the izakaya during happy hour (Tuesday). The standout for me was the crispy tofu bao bun. The sauce in it was SO good, I honestly wish I had ordered more, especially since it was only $4. We also tried oysters for the first time (they were around $1.50-$1.99 during happy hour), and they were surprisingly delicious. We tried a few grilled skewers, shrimp, eggplant, and tofu, which were good, but not my absolute favorites of the night. The best was the egg sando. It might sound simple, but it was incredible, honestly tasted just like the ones I had in Japan, if not better. And the fries?? Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My new favorite fries in Durham.

We almost didn't come because of some of the lower ratings, but our experience couldn't have been better. Everything felt fresh, well-executed, and welcoming from start to finish. Our whole family had a fantastic dinner, and it will definitely be on our list every time we're back in Durham visiting Duke.

We arrived at 8p on a Friday night to a busy but fun scene in a smaller but chic restaurant. The waitresses and waiters were all very pleasant and sat us quickly. I had a lychee limeade mocktail and my husband had a San Miguel beer. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts and Lumpiang Shanghai roles.....one word....delicious! Do yourself a favor and order these rolls! For dinner, I had a tofu fried rice and my husband had a chicken stir fry, which both tasted so light and fresh! Definitely worth the visit!! My friend is from that area of the world and on her recommendation we tried this new place in downtown Durham. It was terrific, what a find! The restaurant's unique handmade paintings on walls and other Philippino decor was very eclectic and cool. They had a hand painted mural of the famous Chef Anthony Bourdain Which was cool but he's from New York so I'll have to ask the owner about that next time I come back. Lol The place was packed and we were walk ins but the owner was at the reception desk and told us to wait and she might be able to find us a table. We were in luck and she directed us to the back room. The server was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes. Since I had my Philippino friend along she told us what she liked as well as the helpful server. The food was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. What I ate I can't pronounce so look at my pics of the menu ;) I had a bowl w beef filet, onions, tomatoes, cucumber lining the bowl w Jasmine rice and a fried egg on top. My friend had oxtail and the other had an appetizer of Lumplang Shanghai and entre of Pancit Behon, all food was extraordinary and large portions. No doubt that was why the place was packed! It's a great place in downtown Durham to check out next time you want to have some adventurous dining. Kain Po Tayo! (Enjoy your meal!)
