I apologize to anyone who has had the misfortune of eating at this 'restaurant'. If you can even call it a restaurant... BECAUSE THE KITCHEN WAS NOT MAKING FOOD!!!!! My family and I were seated around 7:00PM, and had our order taken around 7:30. We eventually decided to leave around 8:58PM, because the tables around us, that arrived after us, received their food before we did. To quote the unhinged man that drove by the restaurant as we were walking in, WHY THE F*** DO I COME HERE?? Side note... they ran out of multiple items in our order. How do you run out of noodles at a chinese restaurant??? read more

This was once a fun place to eat. Good drinks, good food. Over the years it continued to go downhill. As of today, I will never eat there again. We ordered Crab Rangoon (or whatever it's called there) and it was so bad we couldn't eat it. There was no flavor, a horrible fish smell and the consistency seemed like curdled milk. We ordered the lettuce wraps, one of our favorites. The lettuce was so wilted we couldn't use for a wrap at all. The only item that we ate were the pork dumplings. Not too bad but without sauce no taste. We have talked about no longer going to or ordering food from there but decided to give it a chance today. It confirmed all of my fears that the restaurant has gone way down hill. It's dirty and unorganized inside and the drinks have doubled in price for an overly sweet drink advertised as a special. Do not waste your time or money. The food from actual asian restaurants is so much better! read more

Got take out last night. 9/22/26, first time in a long time it was good. New menu apparently. We ordered the Mongolian trio with shrimp, chicken and beef- super good, great sauce, but I will say a bit too much sauce but overall the dish was good. Not spicy. Could almost feed 3 people. We also ordered the shrimp tempura sushi roll, again, super. The chicken lettuce wraps were good, chicken was a bit overpowering with whatever they put on it but again very good. Overall, because I have been severely disappointed in the past couple of orders I give it a 5 read more

I did my first to go experience with PF Chang's. I appreciated the ease of ordering through the app and the quickness to fill the order. I loved that the Chang Chef Feast was available for to go and delivery orders. The food was very well packaged. Egg drop and Hot n Sour soups were good. The fried noodles were fresh. Pad Thai was great! I could have used a little more sauce but that's personal preference. I enjoyed the addition of tofu with the protein of your choice. The only flaw to the fried shallots are they are not good in reheated leftovers. The Mongolian Trio was delicious! The meats were plentiful and cooked perfectly. I just got white rice but there is a brown rice or fried rice (up charge) options. The dessert flight offered a key lime, peanut butter and red velvet cake/mousse sampler with sauces. Refrigerate immediately for take out and delivery orders. read more

We so often overlook PF Changs. Especially wanting to support smaller local businesses but honestly their food, service and bar are pretty great. My favorite thing there is the lettuce wraps but I do feel like they might have changed the recipe or something, they weren't bad but not quite what I remember loving. Drinks were 10/10! read more

I had the lunch special of Chang's spicy chicken and a house salad. Salad was fine. The spicy chicken was very dry and luke warm. It needed some extra sauce or something. I wouldn't order it again. I sat at the bar because the wait for a table was way too long at 2:30 pm. They needed two bartenders at the bar because he was slammed the entire time. He mainly was filling drinks for servers in the dining room. Ambience was pretty good. Not extremely loud. Good lighting. Energetic. The food is not as good as it was years ago. We used to come here every week. I got here at 2:15 and now it's 4:00 pm. I only had a lunch entree and a Diet Coke. I still don't have a ticket to pay and get out of here. Not sure I will be back if it takes almost 2 hours. Should have been at most an hour. read more

When I say, we are a party of 5 and everything went right. Well, not everything, but I'm still happy. It's Father's Day and we celebrating on Manager Jones! Yes! We got all the appetizers, fried pork dumplings, lettuce wraps, northern style ribs with sauce on the sides, fried green beans, egg rolls and egg drop soup. I ordered the wrong soup, I meant hot sour. Either way, Auntie baby had to finish that egg drop. But them lettuce wraps and dumplings, Yum!!! Yelp, I am full of lettuce wraps. So good. I almost didn't get an entree. In fact, the 3 generations(me,ma,Dee) split the new black pepper chicken. OMG! This stuff good, but I'm too full and I gots to try this new butter cake. Elder got combination rice and Leiah got the spicy sesame chicken. They full. So, we celebrating, so we butter caking. Lawd, the butter cake is simply amazing!!! Adrienne and the rest of y'all done served us until we can't move!! Butter cake is it. We split it by 4 and it definitely hit the spot! 5 stars, baby. As far as one thing went wrong, get rid of those boba drinks. Yall don't know what to do with that boba. Everything else, Perfect. P and F, you still got it. read more

We have reached the time of year for another bday freebie that I chose to input as a pick up order. The lettuce wraps are my go to as an app, yet the Dynamite Shrimp was my selection this day. The gentleman working the to go counter had a very warm presence. My order was ready on time, fresh and tasty. My two fortunes were on par with what I desired for this year. I love a good cheesy fortune from a cookie. read more

I ate here for my birthday in 2024 with a couple of my friends who are vegan/vegetarian. For my entree I ordered the Ma Po Tofu. The dish comes with broccoli and steamed rice. The meal was very good and enough for several servings. I'm not a huge tofu fan but this dish was prepared to my liking. The ambiance was dimly lit and cozy, perfect for a celebration or date night. Our server was pleasant and gave me several coupons to redeem for the lettuce wraps after I told him I had left my free birthday dessert coupon on my phone which was in my car charging. I hadn't been to this location in years but I will definitely have to make my way back soon. read more

After waiting in a mostly empty lobby, looking at a mostly empty restaurant for 20 minutes. They finally sat us. So, the mood of the restaurant seemed to be something of a dying restaurant. After waiting an enormous amount of time for the waitress to come, we placed our order for drinks and appetizers and food all at once. It took 30 minutes for our food to get there and we saw the waitress exactly 0 times and the food runners did not bother to ask us if we needed anything or to refill our drinks. The drinks finally got filled one time when the food hit the table and... Again 30 minutes without seeing any other staff or getting any help at all. Drinks were empty and we were all begging for our check... Zero stars don't recommend. read more

This was a tack out order an unfortunately I didn't check it... I ordered the Longlife Noodles & Prawns and received a breaded/flash fired prawn which was not what the dish was intended to be. The doctor was solid but the texture of the shrimp ruined the dish for me. The restaurant seemed pretty busy so I assume this was a mistake that happened in the rush of things. Would try again but will clarify before ordering. read more

Saturday at lunchtime. 40 minutes to get served after we were seated. When the dood came the Spicy Chicken was served hot. The sauce was sweet and had a tiny bit of heat. We had been waiting for a while when it said it would have been 20 minutes, other people with bigger families had been going in front of us and getting served, when we asked the current hostess she had a bad attitude as if she was ignoring that we were there, as soon as we asked her how much longer she walked us to the table, but said she had notified us. she yelled out everyone's name except ours. this was july saturday 26, 2026 at 4:30pm. read more

64/100 on health department rating on August 11, and also in January. This is beyond unacceptable

The ambiance was pretty nice. And the servers and staff were nice. The food was a little bland. If it weren't for sauces, I don't think I would have liked my food. Our drinks were pretty good though. A decent margarita. I don't think I'd go back, unless it were just for drinks. read more

We came in tonight with a group of about 10 to celebrate my father's birthday--this has always been his favorite place, and we've been coming to this specific P.F. Chang's since it opened. Unfortunately, tonight was a letdown. We ordered our usual: the chicken lettuce wraps, two orders of crispy honey chicken, two orders of Mongolian beef, three orders of Chang's spicy chicken (with both brown and white rice), and the garlic noodles. The biggest issue was that the food just didn't taste like it has in the past. The lettuce wraps especially felt different--years ago they used to make the sauce in front of you, but now it's served as a pre-made bowl. They also used romaine lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which really changed the texture and overall experience. I probably wouldn't order the wraps again. The main dishes also weren't very hot and didn't taste freshly made. Overall, P.F. Chang's felt pretty average tonight--nothing special like it used to be. Disappointing experience, especially for a birthday dinner. read more

Went here for lunch with my wife. The food was good, but the ambiance was like walking into a club. The music was really loud to the point that I felt like I was getting a headache. The service was good though a little odd that the hostess wouldn't seat us for a few minutes because she just sat two tables and wanted to give her waitresses a chance to catch up. It was a little odd because there were two managers leaning against the wall and the waitresses could be seen just chatting with them some, yet by the time we left, there were about 10 people waiting to be seated and a whole bunch of tables empty. Maybe they were short staffed, but if the managers have time to lean against the wall, they can go wait tables and help their staff out. I've always like the food at P.F. Chang's, but this will be my last time there. read more

Went there on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm, really looking forward to a nice relaxing meal with my husband. Didn't see anyone else waiting, but was told there was a 30 minute wait for a table. Said we could sit at the bar, but my husband is disabled and unable to sit in the high stools. It turns out that the wait was because they only had 3 servers for the entire restaurant! I think this is unacceptable for a restaurant like P.F. Chang's. Will not go back!! read more

This P.F. Chang's was once a favorite place to eat in or grab take out. My kids loved it, so we would make reservations well in advance to ensure we could have Christmas Eve dinner there, as well as their birthday meals and other celebrations. A few years ago, things began to change. We kept going back, hoping they were just having another bad day. After giving P.F. Chang's more "second chances", than we can count, we finally decided it will never be the same restaurant we once enjoyed so much. Some familiar dishes and flavors are still on the menu but the quality has greatly declined. One of my favorite dishes was the signature Chang's spicy chicken. I recently ordered again; but rather than lightly sautéed chicken chunks, the dish consisted of overly battered and deep-fried pieces with very little meat inside. Corporate cutbacks on quality ingredients is one more reason to support the many wonderful locally owned restaurants we are so fortunate to have in Birmingham. read more

Man okay first let me start off by say the service here was great the staff was so nice and accommodating. Our waitress was so nice and on her game. 10/10 on service. The inside and outside of the restaurant was so gorgeous. I loved the paintings and the color skeem of it all. Just beautiful 10/10! With that being said that's where all the niceness stops. Let me put it this way if you're a person that has never had authentic Asian cuisine of any kind then this is for you you'll like it. HOWEVER if you're a person that has had authentic Asian cuisine of any kind or find yourself "cultured" then this is not a place for you. Don't believe me then go try it for yourself. Chang's Lettuce Wraps: these were not very good if anything just okay. Under seasoned and the protein we chose was chicken and yet there was little to no chicken in it. The saving grace was the sauce that we dipped it in. But we personally wouldn't order again. 5/10 Pork Egg Rolls: these were probably the best thing we had the whole night. These egg rolls were very good, hot, and fresh tasting. Would definitely eat again! However the dipping sauce for them was so bad we were afraid to try it twice it was very strong with an acidic vinegar taste that was extremely unbearable! Egg rolls 7/10 the sauce 1/10 Vegetable Fried Rice: we ordered a side of vegetable fried rice only to receive it with no vegetables, the most it had was little bits of carrots here and there. On top of that it was so dry as if it was days old and extremely lumpy and clear as day had huge hunks of white rice where it wasn't properly cooked and evenly coated. 3/10 Sesame Chicken: was okay at best I have eaten sesame chicken for years and this was not standard. Like I said it was okay just had an off flavor. I actually ended up eating and enjoy the broccoli, onions, and peppers more then anything. 5/10 Beef With Broccoli: this was actually pretty decent flavor was there but it's weird it's called beef with broccoli and yet we only received like 5 pieces of broccoli on the plate. You'd think there would have been more right? 7/10 Chocolate Souffle: this one was weird the raspberry sauce was the worst part it didn't pare well with anything very strong and tangy it was off-putting to the tongue. The chocolate souffle was very dense and fudge like and I wasn't very into it. If it wasn't for the vanilla ice cream we probably would have stopped eating it. It was almost as if it was uncooked. Not sure if it was supposed to be that way but it wasn't what we expected. 2/10 All in all I'm probably never returning back here again. It reminded me of an overpriced Panda Express and I hate Panda Express. It's over priced and was not worth anything! Food: 5/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 read more

Went for office Christmas luncheon. We had so much food at the table. Our luncheon was cut short because someone ran into the building & the fire Marshall made them evacuate the bldg. I ordered the Mongolian trio & a sushi roll. Had the Mongolian trio for lunch a day or so later & it was pretty good. Before they evacuated I was able to taste a couple of pieces of sushi, the sauce under it was soooo salty & unflavorable, made me a little sick. I hadn't been here in years & honestly wasn't in favor of the choice, but the little time we were there I actually enjoyed & plan to start backk going. read more

I ordered takeout from the P.F. Chang's at The Summit and had a really positive experience overall. I placed my order over the phone and made several modifications to my food, but the woman who helped me was extremely kind and patient throughout the entire process. She didn't sound rushed or annoyed at all and took the time to make sure everything was entered correctly. That level of customer service really stood out, especially since modified orders can sometimes be met with attitude elsewhere. The food was packaged well for takeout, still hot when I got home, and tasted just as good as it does when dining in. Portions were solid and everything was flavorful and fresh. While P.F. Chang's can be a bit pricey, the quality of the food and the excellent service made it worth it. I would definitely order takeout from this location again. read more

June 12,2024 Noon Came here for lunch after shopping nearby. Once inside we were directed to a table to the furthest end of the restaurant. The hostess must not be aware as my friend is handicapped and it was very difficult for her to walk. Also we were seated in a booth with a busted seat and cushion. Glad I took photos as who could believe this otherwise. We ordered from the lunch menu and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food that you are served. There was so much that we both took left overs home to eat. We both ordered General Tao orange chicken my friend had brown rice and I had white rice. Also we both ordered an order of spring rolls. The dish on the table had a hair ie see photo to believe with your eyes. This place needs to be renovated as well as their hostess and staff to be better trained. This was by far my most disappointing dining experience in a very long time. Outside of our server, the food was way below standards you would expect when you're spending $20 an entree. To be served crusty sauce pieces for chicken is ridiculous. I had to send mine back and the beef was so tough. The lo mien noodles had no flavor and looked so plain. The food quality is so poor it was shocking. We ordered sushi, soup and entrees. It was all low quality. Very disappointing!

We ordered take out to be ready at 545 on a Saturday. Didn't get the food until 620. When we opened it at home we had super small portions and some items were room temperature despite less than 15 minutes from order brought from kitchen to opening bag at home. It has been ages since I've returned to one of my favorite restaurants. Today it was lunch with Matthew. PFC has been at this location for a LONG time. I'm guessing more than 10 years. Thus their exterior could use a makeover and the "outside" waiting room is badly in need of new carpeting. It also smelled strongly of Clorox wipes when we walked through. I suspect they kept the outside door open to vent the smell. We were seated immediately. Their decor is as stunning as ever with large assertive and bold murals with inviting furniture. Their "open" kitchen is still there for you to observe if you happen to get a table nearby. PFC is still around for a reason. Their food is consistently elevated and they take that philosophy seriously to their fusion of east meets west. Since I haven't visited in a while, I noticed that they have changed their menu. It appears much smaller and simpler. I was disappointed that they no longer had their salt and pepper calamari. It was replaced with their tempura calamari. I was very tempted to try it, but Matthew and I opted for the good ole chicken lettuce wraps. Our server Brandon arrived quickly and took our drink orders. Everything is a la carte for lunch so fried rice or soup would be extra. They serve their "bowls" for lunch so I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp bowl and Matthew, the Chang's Chicken bowl. The lettuce wraps were on par. Tasted delicious with the fried rice noodles. The accompanying fresh lettuce were noticeably smaller so we ran out of those pretty quickly. But Brandon came to the rescue and brought us more. Matthew's chicken pieces were cooked to perfection. Tender and coated with a wonderful tangy sauce. My shrimp were also perfect. Tossed in a wok with their kung pao sauce with dried chilis and green onions... yom yom yom yom. Both our dishes were served in a bowl on a large bed of white steam rice. More than adequate portions. The extra hot and sour soup arrived first in a large bowl enough for two. Their version has a much darker tint with very strong flavor. Their ingredients are noticeably cooked and served fresh off their line. The taste on my shrimp were spot on with just the right amount of kick. Thanks for reminding me to come back to try the tempura calamari! read more

I ordered a pickup order on Sunday. My order was set to be ready at 5:15. I arrived at 5:12 and my order was not at the pickup counter. I waited until 5:25 and decided to say something once the app indicated my order had been completed. Finally someone went to the kitchen to check and it was ready. I get in the car and take the top off the food and I have dried dry shrimp with sauce on the side. I ordered the dynamite shrimp. In the picture online the sauce was already applied. Also the fact that my food was cold after I had waited an additional 10 minutes. P.F. Chang's really needs to get it together.
